Kongo Laboratory (金剛ラボラトリー, Kongō Raboratorī) is a research facility created by Mami Kongo, specializing in research of alchemy, while it also exists as a childcare institution. It is the place where Sabimaru was born and grew up.
Originally part of the Alchemys Union, Mami distanced the facility from the organization due to her affiliation with Glion.
Overview[]
Mami Kongo founded the Kongo Laboratory many years ago originally affiliated with Alchemys Union. Existing as a facility to provide knowledge of alchemy and parenting towards children with potential to become alchemist. However, due to its affiliation with Glion, Mami Kongo defected herself and the whole laboratory from the Union after the incident of Fuga Kudo and starting to conduct research of alchemy independently, trying to create a new Chemy, though it was prohibited by the Union.
The laboratory was located somewhere in the forest, where it was surrounded by a barrier disguised as a pile of trees and can only be accessed through the usage of Alchemist Ring and chant a spell, similar to Alchemist Academy. Inside the laboratory, there exists research facilities, which was used to research alchemy and Chemies, while there is also facilities to research for artificial intelligence, where Isaac was created. The laboratory also exist childcare and educational facilities, including hospital equipment for new-born child and libraries for children.
