Koichi Nanbara (南原 光一, Nanbara Kōichi)[note 1], or Dr. Nanbara (南原博士, Nanbara Hakase), is a scientist and a director of the G.O.D. Science Development Bureau who developed the RS Device. He have one daughter named Rie. Unable to endure the remorse of conscience of what was completed, he defected. He was chased by Toad-Goemon and was rescued by X-Rider, but was assassinated by Scorpion-Geronimo. Just before he dies, he entrusts Keisuke with a pendant containing part of the blueprint.
While escaping, Dr. Nanbara broke the blueprints of the RS Device into nine pieces, hid one in his pendant, and entrusted the rest to a various scientist with whom he had a close relationship. A battle for the blueprints will unfold between G.O.D. and the Rider. [Kingdark! The Demon's Invention!!]
