Kohei Murakami (村上 幸平 Murakami Kōhei) is a Japanese actor from Tokyo. He is known for his portrayal of Masato Kusaka/Kamen Rider Kaixa in Kamen Rider 555 and as Yuji Nakajo/Hikomaro/Giza/Hikaru in Cutie Honey: The LiveIcon-crosswiki. He also has a role as SpaMurasaki on Nippon Television's parodic Bihada Sentai SparangerIcon-crosswiki which looks at various onsen throughout Japan.

Particularly, Kohei loves his role in Kamen Rider 555 very much so that he set up a "913 Festival" on September 13th since 2010, also having some special celebrations on the day. This eventually turned into what Kamen Rider fans call "Kaixa Day", an internet meme holiday where fans "celebrate" the character of Masato Kusaka.

On September 13, 2015, he announced that he would reprise his role as Kaixa in the upcoming video game, Kamen Rider: Battride War Genesis [1] On the same day, he appeared as a guest in a Kamen Rider outdoor stageshow to show off his transformation pose dedicated to his fans.

Kohei later took on the role of BudIcon-crosswiki in the 40th Super Sentai series Doubutsu Sentai ZyuohgerIcon-crosswiki. Like Kaixa Day on September 13th, he also set up August 10th (since 2018) as Zyuoh BirdIcon-crosswiki Day.[2]

Kohei and Kento Handa reprised their 555 roles in Kamen Rider Zi-O, Episodes 5 and 6.[3]
