The King Form in the BOARD's Rider System was first achieved by Kazuma Kenzaki. This transformation is initiated by using the Category Queen and King cards in the Rouse Absorber. Despite the risk of mutation into an Undead monster due to the increasing fusion rate, Kenzaki chose to use the King Form to become a Joker-type Undead, thus saving the world from the Master.

What power does the King Form harness? toggle section
King Form is Blade's most potent transformation, activated by the Absorb Capricorn Rouse Card and the Evolution Caucasus Rouse Card. It harnesses the power of all thirteen Spade Suit Undeads. The King Form can generate energy balls and beams, ignite the ground by walking, and teleport effortlessly. The Kingstone, when placed back into the Century King Drivers' energy reactors, enhances the Vital Photons' output, enabling powerful attacks.

Overview[]

King Form is the strongest form of BOARD's Rider System, accessed by inserting the Category Queen card into the Rouse Absorber and scanning the Category King card to complete the transformation. This form was first achieved by Kazuma Kenzaki after sealing the Caucasus Undead, evolved into Blade King Form. King Form was intended to harness the power of the Category King Undead.

However, due to Kenzaki's high fusion rate, Blade King Form is not fused with just with the Category King but with all 13 Undeads of the same category. This heightened the risk of his mutation into an Undead, slowly turning him into a Joker.

Mutsuki Kamijo's first attempt to access his own King Form backfired, with the Tarantula Undead exercising his will to expel the Spider Undead's control from Mutsuki's body. Later, Mutsuki was able to directly wield the power of Category King by assuming the form of the Tarantula Undead himself.

Many years later, after the end of the TV series' events, Garren and Leangle would eventually gain access to their own King Forms. Unlike Kenzaki, their fusion rates are stable, allowing them to successfully fuse with their Category Kings and eliminating the risk of becoming an Undead.

Variation[]

Wild Chalice (ワイルドカリス, Wairudo Karisu) can be considered analogous to a King Form due to the similar usage of the Category King Rouse Card in the Chalice Rouzer.[1] He uses the Evolution Paradoxa Card to transform and gain the power of 13 Undeads, similar to Blade. However, this form is a unique existence since he does not utilize a Rouse Absorber and lacks the Undead Crests all over his body, while still bearing the High Grade Symbol on his chest.

In addition, Wild Chalice has also been promoted out-of-universe as a King Form alongside those of Blade, Garren, and Leangle.[2]

Notes[]

  • Normally, a Rider must use the Rouse Absorber to transform into King Form, however in Kamen Rider Decade, a version of Kazuma Kenzaki is shown to be able to transform directly into his King Form using just his Blay Buckle, bypassing his default Rider form. As such, the transformation screen projected by the Blay Buckle is golden instead of blue, and moves backwards over Kenzaki rather than requiring him to run through it.
    • As such, the CSM Blay Buckle also includes this special transformation sound effect.
    • The prime version of Sakuya Tachibana would later demonstrate this as well in Kamen Rider Outsiders. The only difference is that Tachibana specifically uses his suit's Category King card in the Garren Buckle, whereas Kenzaki could simply transform straight into King Form using his Category Ace card as per usual.
  • In Novel: Kamen Rider Blade, the new incarnations of Garren and Leangle transform into unnamed "strongest forms" (最強形態, Saikyō Keitai). However, there is little description available regarding the specific design, abilities, or official name of these forms.
