Kasumi Ogura (小倉 香澄, Ogura Kasumi) is Ryuga Banjo's late-fiancé and one of the victims of Faust's experiments who got turned into the Burn Smash (バーンスマッシュ, Bān Sumasshu). Her Smash essence was used as the basis for the Dragon Full Bottle.
History[]
Background[]
Kasumi Ogura was the finacée of Ryuga Banjo whom he deeply loved. With a frail constitution, Banjo got involved in the fixed match to help pay for her medical treatments. After Masahiro Nabeshima helped her be connected with Takumi Katsuragi to help find him a job, Kasumi recommended him to Banjo during their date. However, when Banjo arrived to meet Katsuragi, he found the scientist was found dead in his apartment. Thus, Banjo was framed for murder and sentenced to ten years in prison.
Reuniting With Banjo And Death[]
One year later, after Banjo escaped from prison, Kasumi was abducted by Faust. When Banjo called Kasumi on the phone, he discovered she is forcibly undergoing experimentation and Night Rogue gave him their location. As Banjo rushed to the location, he discovered Kasumi had been transformed into the Burn Smash. When Sento Kiryu fought her as Kamen Rider Build to purify her, Night Rogue revealed Kasumi was deemed a "Hazard Level 1" due to her frail health and will die upon purification. Although both Sento and Banjo hesitated, they both agreed to end her suffering. While Sento was able to separate Kasumi from the Smash, it was long enough for Banjo said his goodbyes to his beloved.
Legacy[]
After Sento extracted her the Burn Smash's essence and converting it into the Dragon Fullbottle, he gives it to Banjo as a memento of his beloved. Banjo's longed possession of the Dragon Fullbottle would augment his body to be synchronized with the bottle enough to defeat a Hazard Smash while was untransformed.
One day, while visiting Kazumi's grave, Banjo discovered a letter left on the gravestone. Inside the letter, she wanted Banjo to use his fists to help people. With this, it motivated Banjo to use the Dragon Fullbottle to transform into Kamen Rider Cross-Z as he assists Build in his endeavors of fighting Faust and other threats that harm the country. Since then, Banjo has been visiting Kazumi's graves on a regular basis when he needs emotional support.
New World[]
A new version of Kasumi exists in the Sento's recreated world. As she and her boyfriend, the new world version of Banjo are walking, Sento Kiryu approaches them, saying that he was glad Banjo was alive. Kasumi thinks Sento is one of Banjo's MMA fans, and Banjo offers to shake hands, which Sento agreed to. As Sento walks off, Banjo and Kasumi run off to get ice cream. Upon meeting up with Sento, the original Banjo also mentions that he spotted the alternate versions of himself and his girlfriend.
