Kamen Rider Wiki

In order to create a fair experience and equal opportunity for everyone, the Kamen Rider Wiki has laid out a set of guidelines on how new administrators and content moderators are selected. Once selected, your name will be listed on the site's main home page alongside others who share your role.

How to Apply?

You may apply on the talk page. To access it, scroll to the very top of the page and find the three dots on the top right corner, to the right of the "Edit" or "View Source" button. Once you hover over them, you'll see an option for "Talk", with a specified number in parenthesis that indicates how many posts/comments have been made on it. When requesting a role, please be sure to read all requirements for each role first before applying.

In your application, state your current user status. If you are not a moderator, your status is "editor." Afterwards, type a short paragraph explaining why you should be considered for the role, and community members will discuss if you are fit for the job. Administrators have final call and will notify you of their decision as soon as possible.

Note: Gaining the minimum amount of votes does not mean you will be promoted.

If you are denied, you may not request a second role for another month from which you received your denial confirmation. If we deny you, please don't give up. We encourage you to use the time to self-reflect and improve on your editing habits. Should we see improvement, we will most certainly factor that into our decision for your future applications.

If you see a staff member abusing their power, you may submit a demotion request using the same format as a request, but describing why they should be demoted. The votes will remain the same as if they were being promoted. It is highly suggested that you back your statements with evidence, such as screenshots. You may use sites like imgur to host your images.

***PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPOTS, AND ARE ONLY FILLED WHEN THE NEED ARISES. THIS IS NOT A CONSTANT REVOLVING DOOR OF REQUESTS.***

  • Admins: 10
  • Content Mods: 10
  • Thread Mods: 5

Please note as well that approved candidates are highly recommended to join the Tokupedia Discord server (accessible on the home page), which helps all staff to maintain constant communication with each other. Although it is not required, your willingness to do so is a major factor in our decision making process. If you are unable to do so, please provide a compelling reason by messaging an active admin on their message wall.

Furthermore if you already possess a staffing role, if you must leave the Discord for whatever reason, please provide a compelling reason for leaving and as well as reasonable alternative for communication.

Thread Moderator

As a Thread Moderator, your primary duty is to oversee and moderate the forum. As a person of power, your name is highlighted in orange and you have the following abilities:

  • Delete and/or rename blogs
  • Lock or delete blog comments.

To be eligible for request, you must fit within the following criteria:

  • You must have been active on the wiki for at least 2 months before requesting.
  • You must plan to be a regular user on the forum pages. This role will not be granted if you aren't.
  • You must be in a good standing with the wiki.
  • You must have at least 3 up-votes in your favor to become a Thread Moderator.
  • You must add a fair explanation of why you/other user deserve to join the Thread Moderator team.
  • If appointed, user must be actively posting on the forum, making at least 1-2 posts a week.

Content Moderator

As an Content Moderator, you are a member of the Wiki's primary staff. Your name is highlighted in purple and you are given the following abilities:

  • All thread moderator abilities as stated above
  • Protect and unprotect pages
  • Delete, move, and re-upload video/image files
  • Delete, move, and un-delete article pages
  • Rollback edits. Unlike a regular "undo edit", this one rollbacks all edits by a single user in one click.

To be eligible for request, you must fit within the following criteria:

  • You must be active on the wiki for at least 3 months.
  • You must have over 500 mainspace edits (No lesser edits).
  • You must not have any sort of blocks or bans. If you fall under this category then you are ineligible to apply for 1 year from the date the block ended. (In other words you must be ban or block free for 1 year since the end of the ban/block). This includes local blocks on the Wiki, Global blocks.
  • You must add a fair explanation of why you/other user deserve to join the Content Moderator team.
  • You must have at least 3 up-votes in your favor to become a Content Moderator.

Administrator

The bread and butter of the Wiki, the green-colored Administrators are what maintains order and upholds our dignity. It's your job to:

  • Give warnings and ban vandalizers/griefers.
  • Keep order on the wiki and settle disputes on the wiki.
  • Clear spam and useless articles from wiki.
  • Update the wiki and keep it modernized.

As as admin, you are granted the following abilities:

  • All thread and content moderator abilities
  • Ability to issue blocks on users to prevent them from editing. This is the primary weapon against vandalism. Use it wisely.
  • Ability to edit the Wiki's Javascript and CSS.

To apply for administrator, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be active on the wiki for at least 12 months.
  • You must have over 1,500 mainspace edits (No lesser edits).
  • You must not have any sort of blocks or bans. If you fall under this category then you are ineligible to apply for 1 year from the date the block ended. (In other words you must be ban or block free for 1 year since the end of the ban/block). This includes local blocks on the Wiki, Global blocks, and bans from the Discord Server.
  • You must be a Content Moderator for at least 6 months before requesting.
  • You must have at least 5 up-votes in your favor to become an Administrator.
  • You must add a fair explanation of why you/other user deserve to join the Administrator team.

Admins should never abuse user/abilities rights for their own gain. If abuse is noticed, it will result in immediate termination of users rights and a ban from the wiki. Admin user rights should be only used to clean up vandalism, organize and clear spam from the wiki. Admins still follow the same rules and policies as everyone else.

If a user is seeking to demote an admin, it must be because the admin either has seen consistently breaking the rules, the admin has been inactive for a long period of time or another fair reason.

Bureaucrat

Bureaucrats are a specialized type of Administrator who can grant roles to other users. Although they hold the highest authority of the Wiki, it is a position that can be granted alongside the regular Administrator role. However once granted the role, it can only be removed by a FANDOM manager.

To become one, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be active on the wiki for at least 24 months.
  • You must have over 4,000 mainspace edits (No lesser edits).
  • You must not have any sort of blocks or bans. If you fall under this category then you are ineligible to apply for 1 year from the date the block ended. (In other words you must be ban or block free for 1 year since the end of the ban/block). This includes local blocks on the Wiki, Global blocks..
  • You must be an Administrator for at least 12 months before requesting.
  • You must have at least 6 up-votes in your favor to become a Bureaucrat.

Voting

With new applications, your vote is what counts towards the approval or denial of a possible new staff member. If you would like to vote, please make sure you have met the following criteria:

  • You must be active on the wiki for at least 2 weeks.
  • You must have over 100 mainspace edits (No lesser edits).
  • You must not have any history of being banned on the wiki. If you fall under this category then you are ineligible to vote for 1 year from the date the block ended. (In other words you must be ban or block free for 1 year since the end of the ban/block). This includes local blocks on the Wiki, Global blocks.

In your vote, include either a For or Against icon and explain your reasoning. Afterwards, sign your name by including ~~~~ at the end of your post.
