Development[]
The movie was proposed by the production team of Saber + Zenkaiger: Superhero Senki. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, both Kamen Rider Saber and Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger had already received individual solo films as part of additional features. However, the production needed a double feature to premiere alongside Superhero Senki, thus the team decided to create a surprise film made to promote Kamen Rider Revice. Hanta Kinoshita, who had finished writing the first and second episodes at the time, wrote a simple story to introduce viewers with the key elements of the TV series.[1][2]
Synopsis[]
Ikki is pressured by government officials to vacate the bathhouse for urban development, but Daiji appears and informs him that the Deadmans are attacking people again. Ikki receives the Revice System from Daiji and transforms into Kamen Riders Revi & Vice. Will Kamen Riders Revi and Vice be able to defeat the Deadmans and protect the people?
Continuity and Placement[]
- The opening scene of the film takes place before the events of episode 1, while the rest of the film takes place following the events of episode 4 due to the appearance of the Ptera Vistamp.
- Producer Taku Mochizuki had previously stated that the film took place between Episodes 3 and 4.[3] Additionally, the two civil workers who were trying to evict the Igarashi Family from Happy Spa made an appearance despite the bathhouse receiving financial aid from Fenix at the end of episode 4.
