Icon-kuugaThis article is about a novel in Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Novel: Kamen Rider Kuuga (小説 仮面ライダークウガ, Shōsetsu Kamen Raidā Kūga), written by Naruhisa Arakawa, is part of a series of spin-off novel adaptations of the Heisei Era Kamen Riders.

Prior to the TV series, Professor Natsume discovers the Kuuga Arcle, including the prototype one, and he included it in his notes. Eventually, he was murdered by one of the Gurongi. Ten years later (Three years before the novel starts), Mika Natsume, his daughter, discovers the notes.

The prototype Arcle was created earlier than Kuuga's but is incomplete because of lack of the Amadam, which causes the user to go berserk. The previous user went crazy and the belt was sealed inside the Coffin of Darkness (Kuuga's Arcle was sealed within the Coffin of Light).

12 years after the series, where Yusuke Godai defeated the Gurongi as Kamen Rider Kuuga, Ichijou is still trying to research the remains of the Gurongi Tribe until rumors of a mysterious "White Warrior" (白い戦士, shiroi senshi)/Mika Natsume surfaces the internet, which reminds Ichijou of Godai.

After sighting a few Gurongi, she goes to the ruins where the prototype Arcle is. She wore the belt and transforms to Kuuga (but with some minor differences, like smaller horns). Similar to the Kuuga, her first form is white. The black form's eyes flashes between red and black, then completely black when she loses control to it.

She fights an unnamed Gurongi in her white form, but it is killed by a different one before she can finish it off. Later she fights a jellyfish Gurongi, defeats it, and is shocked by the explosion she caused. She eventually faces a lion Gurongi, where she goes from white to black out of rage.

Similar to the ability used by Kuuga in the TV series, she can use steel frames to change them into cannons. She is seen shooting a huge beam out of Tokyo Tower. Yusuke Godai shows up and stops her. He used BeatChaser 2000 and Gouram at one point to stop Mika from going berserk. The novel ends with the belt still in her.

Additionally, the police have also developed new weapons to fight the Gurongi, Ichijo actually kills one. La·Balva·De, the Rose Tattoo's Lady, escapes yet again.[2]
