Kamen Rider Gotchard VS Kamen Rider Legend (仮面ライダーガッチャード VS 仮面ライダーレジェンド, Kamen Raidā Gatchādo Bāsasu Kamen Raidā Rejendo) is a two-episode web-series set within the continuity of Kamen Rider Gotchard. It features the debut of Kamen Rider Legend.
The catchphrase for the special is Reiwa Rider? 100 Years Too Early! (令和ライダー? 100年早いな!, Reiwa Raidā? Hyaku-nen hayai na!), which is a reference to one of the catchphrases of Kamen Rider Decade.
Production
The special was announced on October 13, 2023.[1] A short teaser trailer was released on October 29, 2023.[2]
Synopsis
Houtaro is suddenly transported to a parallel world. Awaiting him is a young man named Ho-Oh Kaguya Quartz who summoned him using that world's technology, the Aurora Curtain System. His favorite phrase is "Gorgeous" and he protects the world from the clutches of the evil organization called "Hundred". What's more, the person following Kaguya is a butler named Butler, who looks exactly like Houtaro's friend Ryo Kajiki!
Kaguya gathers the power of past Kamen Riders who exist in parallel worlds in order to fight against the Hundred. However, unlike the other Kamen Riders, he seems unable to gain power from Gotchard, who is "not gorgeous". Kaguya brought Houtaro into his world in order to make him gorgeous.
Continuity and Placement
- Kamen Rider Gotchard: This special takes place between episodes 4[note 1] and 32.
- Kamen Rider Decade: The flashback scene with Tsukasa presumably takes place sometime before his appearance in Kamen Rider Zi-O, as he still has his original Decadriver intact.[3]

Notes
- The catchphrase for the special is a callback to Kamen Rider Decade, which instead of Reiwa and 100 years, it was Heisei and 10 years.
- This special marks the first time of the term "Aurora Curtain" is used in-universe outside of supplementary material.
- The opening sequence of the special where half of every main Rider's face from Kuuga-Gotchard is flashing over Legend's face is a reference to the one present in the opening visuals of the original Decade series where it was every main rider's face from Kuuga-Decade flashing over Tsukasa's face.
- The placement of the faces are also mirrored whereas Decade had all the faces be on the left side while Legend has it on his right side.
- The production blog jokingly came up with alternate announcements for the Kamen Riders summoned in episode 1, all of which are references to something relating to the Riders.[4]

- Kamen Rider Decade had no planned lines when his appearance was initially scripted and filmed. However, to enhance the significance of the scene where a young Kaguya being rescued by Decade, the production team reached out to Masahiro Inoue to reprise his role and had him record additional lines.[4] He later uploaded a vlog on YouTube documenting the day of recording.[5]
- When Legend transforms into Legend Decade, the transformation SFX is that of the NeoDecadriver despite the Ride Chemy Card depicting the original Decadriver.
- Several pieces of the soundtrack from Kamen Rider Decade are reused.
