Kamen Rider Drive

Kamen Rider Drive (仮面ライダードライブ, Kamen Raidā Doraibu), known as the Drive System (ドライブシステム, Doraibu Shisutemu), may refer to any of the following characters:

Other Drive Systems[]

The following identities have used powers which are variants of the Drive System (ドライブシステム, Doraibu Shisutemu). Technically, they can also be referred to as Kamen Rider Drive (仮面ライダードライブ, Kamen Raidā Doraibu) in some specific cases.

Types[]

Kamen Rider Drive's forms are called types (タイプ, Taipu). Some Shift Cars alter the suit based on a certain attribute, whereas other Shift Cars arm Drive with a certain element or weapon, by changing the Shift Tire (シフトタイヤ, Shifuto Taiya) on Drive's suit for a Tire Koukan (タイヤコウカン, Taiya Kōkan). These two types of Shift Cars can be used in conjunction with each other, but some Shift Tires can only work with certain types.

After turning the Advanced Ignition on the Drive Driver, Drive can perform one of two actions in each type: Lifting the Shift Car placed within the Shift Brace between one and three times initiates either a special ability or an attack, while pressing the Igniter on the Shift Brace and lifting the Shift Car once unleashes the type's Full Throttle (フルスロットル, Furu Surottoru) finishing move.

Kamen Rider Drive's standard types' theme song is entitled "Don't lose your mind".

All versions of this type bear a Shift Tire across Drive's torso. While changing Shift Cars, upbeat jazz music plays.

KRDr-Drivespeed (Tireless)

type Speed Pre-Tire (Male)

KRDr-Drivespeed (Kiriko)

type Speed Pre-Tire (Female)

This version of type Speed is briefly seen during both Drive's transformation and Tire Koukan, the latter specifically after the previous Shift Tire is ejected and before the new Shift Tire gets attached in its place. When Fake Drive robbed the Max Flare Tire in Type HIGH SPEED! The True Power! Type High Speed is Born!, the real Drive was left stuck in this state until Mach mistakingly struck him with his Kick Macher attack.

In the case of an incompatible user, such as Kiriko, attempting to access the Drive System, a transformation into the tire-less Kamen Rider Drive is briefly achieved. However, once the type Speed Tire (タイプスピードタイヤ, Taipu Supīdo Taiya) attempts to combine with the type Speed body, the transformation is immediately rejected. This prompted Kiriko and Mr. Belt to find a candidate who could successfully handle Drive's power and maintain the transformation. [How Were the Special Investigation Unit Selected?]

type Speed (Pre-Tire) consists of the following parts:

  • Speed Aero Met (スピードエアロメット, Supīdo Earo Metto): The helmet.
    • Streamline Armor (ストリームラインアーマー, Sutorīmurain Amā): The overall head armor. The surface is made of an alloy with excellent impact resistance. The internal honeycomb structure utilises a thin compressed alloy, allowing it to receive impacts.
    • Armed Shock Absorber (アームドショックアブゾーバー, Āmudo Shokku Abuzōbā): The red sections covering the sides and back of the Speed Aero Met. Underneath is a special type of rubber that absorbs shocks, further protecting the wearer. Additionally, a wide-range sound collecting device is installed, enabling high-precision hearing.
    • Signal-D (シグナル-D, Shigunaru-D): The blue line running from the forehead area to the back. It checks Drive's status and updates the R-Emblem on it.
    • R-Emblem (R-エンブレム, R - Enburemu): The logo on the middle of the forehead. It aggregates any data received from the Signal-D in real time. It has a function that automatically distributes energy throughout the body.
    • Head Wing Spoiler (ヘッドウィングスポイラー, Heddo U~ingu Supoirā): The spoiler located at the back of the head. It can generate downforce throughout the entire body, strengthening Drive's overall acceleration force. Additionally, it can act as an antenna that can detect enemies by sensing their body movements, allowing Drive to quickly grasp any current combat situation.
    • Multi High Beam Eyes (マルチハイビームアイ, Maruchi Hai Bīmu Ai): The compound visual sensors/eyes. They can grasp a situation by detecting heat signatures and body reactions. Information captured by the Multi High Beam Eyes is gathered and displayed within an internal monitor in real time. Additionally, powerful lights installed allow the Multi High Beam Eyes to glow, acting as headlights to increase visibility at night or to blind opponents.
    • Air Exhaust Pipe (エアーエキゾーストパイプ, Eā Ekizōsuto Paipu): Pipes located around the Speed Aero Met. They supply Drive with air from outside. Any impurities in the air are taken through multiple filters, seized and ejected into the outside environment.
    • Crash Guard Panel (クラッシュガードパネル, Kurasshu Gādo Paneru): The silver mouthplate. It is a composite armor formed by overlaying multiple sheets of high-strength compressed alloy on top of one another. It can withstand tank shots.
  • G-Driving Suit (G-ドライビングスーツ, G-Doraibingu Sūtsu): The bodysuit. It draws out the wearer's physical abilities. The suit is made of a special alloy that has been turned into fiber, greatly reducing any damage Drive receives in combat.
  • Breast Cowl (ブレストカウル, Buresuto Kauru): The red chest armor. A mechanism installed allows it to rotate any Shift Tire on the chest. A cooling mechanism is also installed. In addition, a small transfer portal generator is installed as well, allowing Shift Tires to phase through Drive's chest rather than having it impale Drive when changing Tires.
    • Core Driviar-N (コア・ドライビア-N, Koa Doraibia-N): A gravity drive engine installed within the Breast Cowl. It is Drive's main power source. Its rotations and vibrations release special energy waves that can counteract heavy acceleration.
  • G-Deflectors (G-ディフレクター, G-Difurekutā): The shoulder armor. Their shape allows them to effectively recieve attacks without much issue. It has a movement assist function that utilises electromagnetic waves to speed up the acceleration force of Drive's punches and arm movement, allowing Drive to execute fast arm combat techniques.
  • Intake Arm Guards (インテークアームガード, Intēku Āmu Gādo): The forearm armor. It is strong enough to be used as a shield. They store any surplus energy generated by the Core Driviar-N and energy taken from the whole body intake.
  • Rapid Break Gloves (ラピッドブレイクグローブ, Rapiddo Bureiku Gurōbu): The reinforced hands. Its grip strength and surface hardness can be adjusted freely, making fine delicate operations possible outside of combat. A high-speed powered punch can be delivered by covering the Rapid Break Gloves' surface area with compressed energy.
  • Knee Metal Pads (ニーメタルパッド, Nī Metaru Paddo): The titanium alloy knee armor. It assists knee movement and strengthens the power of knee kicks.
  • Active Turbo Legs (アクティブターボレッグ, Akutibu Tābo Reggu): The lower leg armor. A lightweight alloy that has excellent impact resistance is used in its construction. A built-in high strength suspension device strengthens the leg Drive's power.

type Speed

"Drive type Speed! (Upbeat jazz music)"
―Transformation announcement[src]
Rider Statistics[1][2]
  • Height: 199 cm
  • Weight: 102 kg
Ability Parameters[1][2]
  • Punching Power: 6 t
  • Kicking Power: 10.4 t
  • Maximum Jump Height: 32 m
  • Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 5.7 seconds (1.8 seconds at full speed)

type Speed (タイプスピード, Taipu Supīdo) is Drive's default sports car-based form. Accessed through the Shift Speed Car, this form bears the type Speed Tire (タイプスピードタイヤ, Taipu Supīdo Taiya).

Out of Drive's types, this form has the most balance in terms of strength and agility, which also makes it his most frequently used form.

Drive's special ability in this form is, as the name implies, speed. When he lifts the Shift Speed Car three times, Drive is able to move incredibly fast and perform high velocity attacks. He can also perform the Turbo Smash (ターボスマッシュ, Tābo Sumasshu) attack, where Drive makes the type Speed Tire rotate rapidly as he drifts towards the enemy and trips them up into the air. Afterwards, he unleashes a barrage of rapid punches onto the falling target, making an image of a speedometer appear from the resulting series of punches. Alternatively, Drive can skip the tripping portion of his attack and go immediately to its punching portion.

This type's Full Throttle finisher is the Speedrop (スピードロップ, Supīdoroppu), where Drive focuses power into his right leg, making it glow red as he slams into the enemy with a flying kick.

  • A variation of this finisher has four spinning tires manifest to surround the enemy while Drive turns his back to the target as Tridoron races around him, focusing his power. The tires then fully close in on the target, making the target shoot forwards towards Drive, who instead jumps at Tridoron and kicks at it, making him bounce off of it and kick the target. Drive then keeps bouncing off Tridoron and kicking the target in a pinball-like manner until he comes in with the final kick, skidding to a stop.

The Max Flare Tire's flame like Heat Flare Panels (ヒートフレアパネル, Hīto Furea Paneru) allows Drive to control the amount of fire that comes out of the Heat Flare Thrusters (ヒートフレアスラスター, Hīto Furea Surasutā), empowering Drive with fire-based abilities.

In this mode, Drive is empowered with fire-based abilities, covering his hands and legs in flames with every attack, as well as allowing him to manifest a fiery construct of the Max Flare Tire for him to kick at the enemy where it produces a flaming cyclone that shoots the target skyward. type Speed Flare's Full Throttle finisher is the Flare Stream (フレアストリーム, Furea Sutorīmu), where Drive launches a barrage of fireballs from the Max Flare Tire towards the enemy.

  • During the fight against Kamen Rider Lupin, Drive finishes the Rider off by using an alternative of the Speedrop (スピードロップ, Supīdoroppu) Tridoron variation. Four spinning tires manifest to surround the enemy and bombarded Lupin with his while Drive turns his back to the target as Tridoron races around him, focusing his power. The tires then fully close in on the target, making the target shoot forwards towards Drive, who instead jumps at Tridoron and kicks at it, making him bounce off of it and kick the target. Drive then keeps bouncing off Tridoron and kicking the target in a pinball-like manner with flaming strikes, though this is notably slower compared with type Speed's version until he comes in with the final kick, skidding to a stop.

  • Punching Power: 8.1 t
  • Kicking Power: 14.1 t
  • Maximum Jump Height: 21 m
  • Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 7.2 seconds

type Wild (タイプワイルド, Taipu Wairudo) is Drive's dune buggy-based form. Accessed through the Shift Wild Car, this form bears the type Wild Tire (タイプワイルドタイヤ, Taipu Wairudo Taiya).

In terms of Drive's types, this form has much more physical power than type Speed, boosting his strength significantly and allowing him to use power-type Shift Cars like Rumble Dump with relative ease. As an added bonus, since all of type Wild's Shift Tires are attached to Drive's right shoulder instead of around his torso, Drive can use his new strength to perform powerful shoulder checks and guard against attacks much more easily using his right shoulder. In exchange, type Wild cannot jump nearly as high as either type Speed or any of its Tire Koukan modes, nor is this form able to run as fast.

Drive's special ability in this form is enhanced strength and defensive capabilities. He is also capable of performing two different attacks.

  • Over Wild (オーバーワイルド, Ōbā Wairudo): After Drive lifts the Shift Car once, he uses the type Wild Tire to shoulder check the enemy with enough force to send them flying.
  • Pile Break (パイルブレイク, Pairu Bureiku): Never used in the series proper, though it is said to allow Drive to execute a powerful punch.

This type's Full Throttle finisher is the Wildrop (ワイルドロップ, Wairudoroppu).

Appearances: Drive Episodes 6-9, Movie War Full Throttle, Drive 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, 19-21, Kamen Rider 4: Episode 1, Drive 29, 38, 43, 44, Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider

The dump truck-based Shift Rumble Dump Car allows Drive to upgrade type Wild into type Wild Dump (タイプワイルドダンプ, Taipu Wairudo Danpu), which bears the drill-themed Rumble Dump Tire (ランブルダンプタイヤ, Ranburu Danpu Taiya).

Spec-wise, type Wild Dump is basically an exaggeration of type Wild's stats: excellent offensively and does poorly agility-wise, making this form the second slowest out of all of Drive's known forms.

In this mode, Drive is armed with the Rumble Smasher. Unlike type Speed Dump where the Rumble Smasher goes berserk, type Wild Dump keeps the Rumble Smasher in check thanks to type Wild's much higher strength.

type Wild Dump's Full Throttle finisher is the Drirumble (ドリランブル, Doriranburu), where Drive slams the Rumble Smasher into the target while it is spinning at high speeds with incredible force.

In Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive: Super Movie Wars Genesis, Drive is able to transform from type Speed to type Wild Dump without changing into type Wild first.

Spec-wise, type Technic Winter has less punching power than type Technic Braver or Gravity, but more kicking power than type Technic Braver. Winter's jumping height is fractionally better than type Technic Gravity and can easily be overlooked, and is also barely faster than the aforementioned Tire Koukan mode.

In this mode, Drive is armed with the Frostreamer.

Appearances: Drive Episode 14, 43, Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider

With the invention of the Mach Driver Honoh, the Drive Driver has undergone improvements to better combat the growing Roidmude threat. Drive's first upgrade is the Next System (ネクストシステム, Nekusuto Shisutemu), which allows both him and Mach to use a special hybrid Shift Car/Signal Bike. His second upgrade is the Advanced System (アドバンスドシステム, Adobansudo Shisutemu), which utilizes supplementary Shift Cars that allow Drive to maintain performance levels while transformed over prolonged periods of time.

All versions of this type bear a Shift Tire across Drive's torso, as well as the DH Kourin (DH-コウリン, Dī Aichi Kōrin, short for/lit. "Dead Heat Rear Wheel") on his right shoulder. While either changing Shift Cars or entering the Dead Zone state, suspenseful chase music with squealing tires as accompaniment plays. Unlike Mach, even though type Dead Heat bears a Kourin Signal, the DH Kourin does not change into a different one whenever Drive initiates a Tire Koukan.

  • Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 3.2 seconds

type Dead Heat (タイプデッドヒート, Taipu Deddo Hīto) is Drive's motorcycle and sidecar-based form, which has the physical characteristics of both his and Mach's Rider Systems. Accessed through the Shift Deadheat Car, this form bears the type Dead Heat Tire (タイプデッドヒートタイヤ, Taipu Deddo Hīto Taiya).

In terms of Drive's types, this form scores much higher in every ability parameters compared to many of his other types: surpassing type Wild Dump in offensive strength, type Speed's average speed, and the highest jump measured overall. It also allows Drive to function in a Super Heavy Acceleration field, but with the drawback of his ability parameters being significantly reduced.

Drive's special ability in this form is being able to emulate Heart's Dead Zone (デッドゾーン, Deddo Zōn) state by turning the Advanced Ignition, which raises his combat capabilities to an incredible degree. Compared to Heart, type Dead Heat's Dead Zone ability is superior. However, using this ability can overload Drive's Rider System if the DH Kourin's meter redlines. Once the system maxes out and the type Dead Heat Tire's treads burst, the operator will lose control over their actions.

type Dead Heat consists of the following parts:

  • D-Burnmet (D-バーンメット, Dī-Bānmetto): The high-performance heat-resistant helmet that protects the head.
    • Frame Head Wing (フレームヘッドウィング, Furēmu Heddo Wingu): The aero parts. It generates a downforce throughout the body and accelerates Drive's movements. It plays a role in controlling the flow of excess heat generated throughout the body.
    • Signal-D (シグナル-D, Shigunaru-Dī): The sensor that keeps track of Drive's own condition. The blue line sensor that runs from between the eyebrows to the back of the head checks the damage and operating status of Drive and transmits the information to the R-Sensor Symbol inside the R-Emblem.
    • Elude Stream Armor (エルードストリームアーマー, Erūdo Sutorīmu Āmā): The streamlined armor that protects the head is made of overlapping compressed alloy plates with excellent impact resistance. By forming a smooth defensive field on its surface, it has the ability to parry bullets and energy attacks.
    • Armor Progress (アーマープログレス, Āmā Puroguresu): The armor that covers the sides and back of the head. The latest type of shock absorbing material is sandwiched between the wearer and the armor, and by changing its hardness depending on the situation, it absorbs and nullifies all impact damage.
    • R-Emblem (R-エンブレム, R-Enburemu): The circular emblem with the letter "R". It aggregates Drive's physical data received from Signal-D in real time and automatically adjusts energy distribution throughout the body.
    • Multi High Beam Eye (マルチハイビームアイ, Maruchi Haibīmu Ai): The visual sensors. It's equipped with highly sensitive sensors to enable it to adapt to high-speed combat. Information such as detected heat source reactions and motion reactions is summarized so that Drive can understand it at a glance, and displayed inside the helmet in real time. The sensors also have powerful light emitting functions, which can be used as a blinding device.
    • Face Intake (フェイスインテーク, Feisu Intēku): The intake and exhaust system. The cooling air filter inside the device is responsible for removing impurities and excess heat from the intake air.
    • Composite Guard Panel (コンポジットガードパネル, Konpojitto Gādo Paneru): The composite armor that protects the face. By layering a new type of compressed alloy that can withstand direct hits from high-explosive bullets, it prevents damage to the wearer inside.
  • DH-Kourin (DH-コウリン, Dī Eichi-Kourin): The tire mounted the right shoulder. It generates a huge amount of operating energy and heat by using the superheating activator in Shift Deadheat. The high-output energy generated circulates at high speed throughout each part of the body, increasing all functions to the brink of their limits. The circular monitor provides a visual representation of the system's operating status, and when the meter reaches the red zone, Drive goes into a Burst state that is difficult to control.
  • Thermal Deflector (サーマルディフレクター, Sāmaru Difurekutā): The shoulder armor equipped on the left shoulder. It has the ability to control the flow of excess heat generated from the entire body and reuse it as a thermal attack. It also has a movement assist function using electromagnetic force, which instantly increases the strength of the shoulder, making it possible to produce fast and powerful punches.
  • Blast Cowl (ブラストカウル, Burasuto Kauru): The heat-resistant chest armor made of a special alloy. It has a mechanism that rotates the tires attached to its chest. Its surface layer has the ability to accumulate heat, and by releasing heat energy, it can increase the explosive power of its special moves.
    • Core Driviar-N (コア・ドライビア-N, Koa Doraibia-Enu): The model gravity drive engine that powers Drive. It is a pseudo device that is formed on the chest during transformation, and is responsible for generating Drive's operating energy. It can also use the rotation and vibration of the engine to emit waves that cancel out Heavy Acceleration.
    • type Dead Heat Tire (タイプデッドヒートタイヤ, Taipu Deddo Hīto Taiya): The standard specification tire that is equipped when Drive transforms. It regulates the flow of energy that circulates throughout the body at high speed, and adjusting so that the functions of each part are uniformly strengthened. When the durability limit is reached, the tires burst, making it difficult to control the behavior.
  • Body Cowl Armor (ボディカウルアーマー, Bodi Kauru Āmā): The armor that covers the front of the body. The surface is coated with particles that diffuse energy attacks. By using a highly compressed hardened alloy material, it has both durability and flexibility.
  • Heat Riding Suit (ヒートライディングスーツ, Hīto Raidingu Sūtsu): The heat-resistant protective suit that covers the surface of Drive's body, and has the ability to bring out the physical abilities of the wearer beyond their limits. It concentrates the heat accumulated on its surface into its arms and legs, allowing it to perform ultra-heated fighting attacks.
  • Shooter Exgear (シューターエクスギア, Shūtā Ekusugia): The attack correction device attached to the right arm. It works in conjunction with his various weapons and has the role of fine-tuning attack movements. It has the ability to release the energy charged inside the device and deploy a defensive shield.
  • Haste Glove (ヘイストグローブ, Heisuto Gurōbu): The reinforced armored gloves. It is possible to cover the entire glove with high compression energy and deliver an ultra-high heat punch accompanied by a blast wave.
  • Smasher Plate (スマッシャープレート, Sumasshā Purēto): The reinforced knee armor. The joint strengthening function speeds up the movement of the knee part, making it possible to perform high-power knee kicks.
  • Advanced Leg (アドバンスドレッグ, Adobansudo Reggu): The reinforced leg strength armor. Multiple high-performance suspensions built into the armor maximizes the power and explosiveness of the legs, allowing for powerful kicks and high-speed movements.
  • Active Fast Boots (アクティブファストブーツ, Akutibu Fasuto Būtsu): The reinforced armored boots. It uses high-performance grip parts with excellent ground contact, enabling rapid acceleration to reach top speed in an instant and stable high-speed combat. It is possible to concentrate high compression energy on the soles of the feet and deliver a deadly super high-temperature kick.

Because of the way Shift Deadheat is designed, this form lacks a proper Full Throttle finisher. Instead, Drive uses the Dead Zone ability to defeat his enemies either with raw power or by generating a red energy tire to kick at the target. Afterwards, he can press the Igniter to initiate one of two attacks.

type Formula (タイプフォーミュラ, Taipu Fōmyura) is Drive's Formula One car-based form, accessed using the Shift Formula Car with the Shift Brace and Drive Driver.

In terms of Drive's types, this form has much more power than type Dead Heat, allowing him to throw stronger punches and kicks, as well as function in a Super Heavy Acceleration field better than the aforementioned type. Also, despite the bulky upper armor, it has a huge jumping height and monstrous running speed beyond even the speed of sound ranging from 500m/s to 833m/s. All over Drive's body are stickers with the names of all eighteen Tire Koukan Shift Cars that aren't type Formula-styled, similar to a real Formula One car bearing various stickers of their sponsors. If his Power Gail Wing (パワーゲイルウィング, Pawā Geiru Uingu) breastplate is removed, it will reveal type Formula's car engine-like power source, the Core Driviar-N (コア・ドライビア-N, Koa Doraibia-En), underneath. The two type Formula Tires (タイプフォーミュラタイヤ, Taipu Fōmyura Taiya) equipped to the Rider's forearms can be used as weapons when either tires are spun at high RPMS.

Drive's special ability in this form is acceleration like type Speed's, as well as wind manipulation. He is also armed with the Trailer-Hou. When Drive lifts the Shift Formula Car three times, he can move at a velocity far more faster than type Speed, allowing him to batter an enemy with multiple attacks. However, any Full Throttle finisher used by this form (except for ones that utilize the Trailer-Hou) can place a huge strain on Drive's body due to the amount of G-Forces it brings.

The back of Drive's body is equipped with a Core Driviar-powered booster called the X-Fan Boost (エクスファンブースト, Ekusu Fan Būsuto), which allows him to move at a speed on the same level as a G-Force. While running, he can increase his running speed by lifting the Shift Formula Car three times. The downside of this type Change, however, is that using type Formula for a long time can cause mechanical shock to both his body and the Rider System. To fix this, the three Shift Formula-styled Tire Koukan Shift Cars, nicknamed the Pit Crew (ピットクルー, Pitto Kurū), aid him by using their abilities to repair all of the damages inflicted upon type Formula's body and bring Drive back into tip-top shape.

This type's Full Throttle finisher is the Formuladrop (フォーミュラドロップ, Fōmyura Doroppu), where Drive is covered in bright blue energy as he strikes the enemy with a flying kick. By lifting the Shift Formula Car seven times, Drive can enhance this attack's power in order to destroy the enemy completely. However, doing this may cause him to explode with the enemy as well.

  • During type Formula's first use, its Full Throttle finisher was an unnamed Rider Punch which covered Drive in bright blue energy as he dashed straight into the enemy and struck them with a double handed punch. Unfortunately, the sheer power of this attack on top of the G-Forces pressed onto Drive's body ended up giving Shinnosuke whiplash.

type Formula is reinforced with:

  • Winged Visor (ウィンガードバイザー, U~ingādo Baizā): Drive's visor, it uses energy extracted from SO-1 Alloy (the same material used for the Handle Ken's blade) to repel an enemy's attack, protecting Drive's eyes. The rear wings control downforce, improving Drive's movement.
  • F-Induction Pod (F-インダクションポッド, F - Indakushon Poddo): The intake port protruding from type Formula's helmet, it captures air to cool down parts of the armor. Also, energy particles from surrounding air is captured and can be used as operational energy.
  • Wing Variable (ウィング・ヴァリアブル, U~ingu Vu~ariaburu): The 'spoiler' of type Forumla, it automatically adjusts its angle in response to Drive's movements and priorities high-speed turning and acceleration.
  • Power Gail Wing (パワーゲイルウィング, Pawā Geiru Uingu): The front chestplate of Drive, it priorities high-speed turning and acceleration, adjusting downturn and optimising air resistance.
  • Overtake Unit (オーバーテイクユニット, Ōbāteiku Yunitto): A special alloy armor unit that covers Drive's chest, it contains a cooling unit to cool down the body. Additionally, it wraps a special force field around the Power Gail Wing, increasing Drive's defense capabilities.
  • X-Fan Boost (エクスファンブースト, Ekusu Fan Būsuto): A powerful propulsion device installed at the rear of Drive's armor, it uses energy sent straight from the Core Driviar-N and the air taken in through various intakes to generate a jet flow, allowing Drive to obtain an explosive propulsion force in a short time.
  • Traction Turbo Legs (トラクションターボレッグ, Torakushon Tābo Reggu): The leg armor units, it is composed of strong lightweight alloys, and can absorb shock damage and improve aerodynamic characteristics. Additionally, it has improved internal suspension, enabling ultra high-speed operations.

The gas refueling tank-based Shift Mantarn F01 Car allows Drive to upgrade type Formula into type Formula Mantarn (タイプフォーミュラマンターン, Taipu Fōmyura Mantān, lit. "type Formula Full Tank"), which bears two Mantarn F01 Tires (マンターンF01タイヤ, Mantān Efu Zero Wan Taiya, lit. "Full Tank F01 Tires").

Spec-wise, type Formula Mantarn both loses a fraction of punching power and gains a fraction of kicking power from type Formula, but this can easily be overlooked. It also takes a hit to the jumping height and running speed.

In this mode, Drive can boost his power by using the Mantarn F01 Tires like nitro boosters via the Resurrection Fuel (リザレクションフューエル, Rizarekushon Fyūeru) stored within the metal 'bolts' of the tires. It also helps with his fatigue somewhat due to being based off of Mad Doctor's technology. When the Shift Mantarn Car is lifted three times, both Drive's usual running speed from type Formula and the performance of the X-Fan Boost are upgraded to a much higher level. Another application of the Resurrection Fuel's boosting powers is the ability to boost type Formula Mantarn's punches, which can desynchronize the fusion of a Roidmude that evolved using a Neo Viral Core.

type Tridoron (タイプトライドロン, Taipu Toraidoron) is Drive's sports car-based evolved form of type Speed, as well as his ultimate form. Accessed through the Shift Tridoron Car, this form converts the actual Tridoron into armor for Drive, complete with the type Tridoron Tire (タイプトライドロンタイヤ, Taipu Toraidoron Taiya).

In terms of Drive's types, this form easily outclasses most others. In basic performance specs alone, type Tridoron's punching power measures 2 tons heavier than type Formula, with kicking power also measuring 2.4 tons heavier than the aforementioned type. While type Formula does maintain superiority in regards to speed and jumping ability, type Tridoron is capable of comparable super speed combat; being only 0.443 sec. slower than type Formula (0.523 sec. slower from type Formula's top speed).

Drive's special ability in this form is being able to initiate a Tire Kakimazerl (タイヤカキマゼール, Taiya Kakimazeru) by turning the Advanced Ignition before he presses the button marked with three tires on Shift Tridoron and then lifts it once, which allows him to combine three Tire Koukan Shift Cars of a particular set into a singular Shift Tire with the unique powers and abilities of the chosen Shift Cars for immediate and simultaneous use. Optionally, Drive can delay combining the Shift Tires by launching them as projectiles to attack his enemies before returning back to complete the Tire Kakimazerl process. Drive can also push this ability to the maximum by combining all of his Shift Tires with the type Tridoron Tire into a single glowing white tire. This, when coupled with Heart increasing his own power to the maximum, is powerful enough to destroy even the Sigma Circular.

Other abilities include advanced energy shielding, which generates a red bubble-like protective area around Drive that is capable of deflecting Over Evolved Roidmude-class energy attacks, and utilizing the smaller tires under his feet as a pair of roller skates.

Type Tridoron Belt Control

Mr. Belt can assume control over type Tridoron's body when needed. On such occasions, his face graphics appear on the Dual High Beam Eye (デュアルハイビームアイ, Dyuaru Hai Bīmu Ai) of Drive's Tri-D Met (トライドメット, Torai-Do Metto).

This type's Full Throttle finisher is the Tridrop (トライドロップ, Toraidoroppu), where Drive focuses power into his right leg, making it glow red as he slams into the enemy with a flying kick.

type Tridoron's theme song is entitled "Unlimited Drive".

type Fruits (タイプフルーツ, Taipu Furūtsu) is Drive's orange-based armored Japanese Samurai form, resembling Kamen Rider Gaim's Orange Arms. Accessed through the Shift Fruits Car, this form bears the type Fruits Tire (タイプフルーツタイヤ, Taipu Furūtsu Taiya).

In terms of Drive's types, this form punches with the same amount of force as type Dead Heat and kicks harder than nearly all of Drive's standard forms, except for type Wild Dump and type Wild Wrecker. Beyond that, while type Fruits has a slightly lower jumping height compared to type Speed, it can run faster than the aforementioned type's standard running speed.

Drive's special ability in this form is akin to that of Kamen Rider Gaim's. He is also armed with the Musou Saber and Daidaimaru.

KRDr-Daidai Gasa

Daidai Gasa

The biggest disadvantage Drive has in this form is the Daidai Gasa (ダイダイガサ, lit. "Great Orange Gasa") atop his head, which has minor effects on the vantage of his surroundings and the fact that with it on, he can't fit inside of Tridoron.

Much like with the Legend Rider Lockseeds, this Shift Car appears to channel the Rider's personality, as after Drive attacked Megahex with the Musou Saber and Daidaimaru, he briefly did dance-like motions.

This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Drive & Gaim: Movie War Full Throttle.

In this form, while changing Shift Cars, upbeat jazz music plays. Unlike the original version, both its standby music and the announcement for the type by Mr. Belt have been slown down. Mr. Belt also says "Start your Engine" much softer and more gently before Shinnosuke turns the Advanced Ignition.

KRDr-Drivehighspeed (Tireless)

type High Speed Pre-Tire

This version of type High Speed is briefly seen during both Drive's transformation and Tire Koukan, the latter specifically after the previous Shift Tire is ejected and before the new Shift Tire gets attached in its place.

type High Speed (Pre-Tire) consists of the following parts:

  • High Speed Aero Met (ハイスピードエアロメット, Hai Supīdo Earo Metto): The helmet.
    • Streamline Armor (ストリームラインアーマー, Sutorīmurain Āmā): The forehead armor. The surface is made of an alloy with excellent impact resistance. The internal honeycomb structure utilizes a thin compressed alloy, allowing it to receive impacts.
    • Head Wing Spoiler (ヘッドウィングスポイラー, Heddo U~ingu Supoirā): The spoiler located at the back of the head. It can generate downforce throughout the entire body, increasing Drive's overall acceleration. Additionally, it can act as an antenna that can detect enemies by sensing their body movements, allowing Drive to quickly grasp any combat situation.
    • Armed Shock Absorber (アームドショックアブゾーバー, Āmudo Shokku Abusōbā): The armor on the side of the helmet. There is a rubber shock absorber within the helmet that absorbs impact. A wide-area sound sensor is installed in the helmet, allowing Drive to sense enemies accurately.
    • Signal-D (シグナル-D, Shigunaru-D): The thin blue line running from the forehead area to the back. It checks Drive's status and transmits the data to the R-Emblem.
    • R-Wing Emblem (R-ウィングエンブレム, R - U~ingu Enburemu): The logo in the middle of the forehead. It aggregates any data received from the Signal-D in real time. It has a function that automatically distributes energy throughout the body.
    • Multi High Beam Eye (マルチハイビームアイ, Maruchi Hai Bīmu Ai): The compound visual sensors/eyes.
    • Air Exhaust Pipe (エアーエキゾーストパイプ, Eā Ekizōsuto Paipu):Pipes located around the Unite Aero Met. They provide oxygen and purify the air with air filters within them and expels them.
    • Crash Guard Panel (クラッシュガードパネル, Kurasshu Gādo Paneru): The silver mouthplate. It is a composite armor formed by overlaying multiple sheets of high-strength compressed alloy on top of one another. It can withstand tank guns.
  • G-Driving Suit (G-ドライビングスーツ, G-Doraibingu Sūtsu): The bodysuit. It draws out the wearer's physical abilities. The suit is made of a fibrous alloy, greatly reducing any damage Drive receives in combat.
  • Breast Cowl (ブレストカウル, Buresuto Kauru): The silver chest armor. A mechanism installed allows it to rotate any Shift Tire on the chest. A cooling mechanism is also installed.
    • Core Driviar-N (コア・ドライビア-N, Koa Doraibia-N): A gravity drive engine installed within the Breast Cowl. It is Drive's main power source. Its rotations and vibrations release special energy waves that can counteract heavy acceleration. A small diamond is embedded in the switchgear part of the chest armor.
  • G-High Deflector (G-ハイディフレクター, G-Hai Difurekutā): The shoulder armor. Their shape can deflect enemy attacks. It has a movement assist function that utilizes electromagnetic waves to increase the acceleration of Drive's punches and arm movement, allowing Drive to perform high-speed punches.
  • Intake Arm Guard (インテークアームガード, Intēku Āmu Gādo): The forearm armor. It is strong enough to be used as a shield. They store any surplus energy generated by the Core Driviar-N and energy taken from the whole body intake.
  • Rapid Break Glove (ラピッドブレイクグローブ, Rapiddo Bureiku Gurōbu): The reinforced gloves. Its grip strength and surface hardness can be adjusted freely, making fine delicate operations possible outside of combat. The surface of the gloves can be covered with compressed energy to perform a high-speed punch.
  • Active Turbo Leg (アクティブターボレッグ, Akutibu Tābo Reggu): The lower leg armor. A lightweight alloy that has excellent impact resistance is used in its construction. A built-in high strength suspension device increases the leg's power.
  • Knee Metal Pad (ニーメタルパッド, Nī Metaru Paddo): The titanium-alloy knee armor. It assists knee movement and strengthens the power of knee kicks.
  • Rear Cowl Boots (リアカウルブーツ, Ria Kauru Būtsu): The boots. High-performance grip parts that cover the soles maintain friction according to the condition of the road's surface, realizing a rapid and smooth acceleration and speed, stabilizing Drive's behavior when speeding. The surface of the boots can be covered with compressed energy, and can perform a super powerful kick.

Ability Parameters[64]
  • Punching Power: 24 t
  • Kicking Power: 40 t
  • Maximum Jump Height: 50 m
  • Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 0.446 seconds

type Special (タイプスペシャル, Taipu Supesharu) is Drive's futuristic car-based form. Accessed through the Special side of the Shift Next Special Car, this form bears the type Special Tire (タイプスペシャルタイヤ, Taipu Supesharu Taiya). Due to the corresponding Shift Car being from the future, this form combines the powers of the present and future Drives, allowing Drive to match up with the immense power of Paradox Roidmude's advanced form, which was formed by the fusion of 108's present and future selves. As such, when Shinnosuke transforms into this form, a projection of Eiji is shown beside him doing the same transformation.

In this form, its jumping and power stats surpasses type Tridoron, including the increasing speed of type Formula. Being the strongest form of Drive made so far, it is strong enough to defeat even the most powerful of Roidmudes.

When Drive lifts the Shift Next Special Car four times, he is able to summon the Shingou Ax and perform a series of quick purple energy slashes.

This type's Full Throttle finisher is the Speedrop type Special (スピードロップ タイプスペシャル, Supīdoroppu Taipu Supesharu). Drive begins by punching the enemy straight into the air while the NEXTridoron surrounds the enemy in a large blue energy sphere. Drive then leaps upwards and performs a powerful kick charged with yellow-colored lightning.

This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future.

  • Maximum Running Speed: 100 m. per 6.2 sec.

type Speed (タイプスピード, Taipu Supīdo) is Zero Drive's concept sports car-based form, which is accessed through the present-time Speed Prototype Shift Car. It is used by Shinnosuke Tomari.

It is aesthetically similar to the completed type Speed, but with its colors inverted and bears the Archetype Gear (アーキタイプギア, Ākitaipu Gia).

Zero Drive is the first functioning model of the Drive System and as such, its specs and functionality is severely limited due to the fact that Krim Steinbelt has yet to even create a functioning Shift Car to work with the system. Despite these setbacks, Shinnosuke is able to use Zero Drive due to his experience and long term usage of the Drive Driver.

This type's Full Throttle finisher is the Zerodrop (ゼロドロップ, Zerodoroppu), which is presumably a weaker version of the present type Speed's Speedrop.

This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive: Super Movie Wars Genesis.

When using the Heartron Shift Car for the first time, Heart transforms into type Speed Wild Technic (タイプスピードワイルドテクニック, Taipu Spīdo Wairudo Tekunikku), also known as Kamen Rider Heart Incomplete Transformation State (仮面ライダーハート 不完全変身態, Kamen Raidā Hāto Fukanzen Henshin Tai)[66], a hybrid of Drive's three main forms (type Technic's head, type Speed's upper body and type Wild's lower body).

SWT No Tire & Shoulder

type Speed Wild Technic without Shift Tire and shoulder pads.

Heart was able to access the power of Drive after Brain compiled together data collected from the Roidmudes' battles with Drive. However, the hasty compilation of Drive's data resulted in the creation of this form, which made Drive's power incomplete. Thus, this form appears to be much weaker than any of the regular Drive's forms, as Roidmude 5886 was able to easily rip the form's shoulder pads along with the Shift Tire off the suit.

Kamen Rider Super Dead Heat Drive (仮面ライダー超デッドヒートドライブ, Kamen Raidā Chō Deddo Hīto Doraibu) is Drive's Mashin Chaser-based form, which is accessed through the Tridoron Key and through the Mach Driver Honoh.

Appearance-wise, it is very similar to Mashin Chaser, and is incomplete, showing circuitry and piping, like Mashin Chaser, it is also incredibly bulky compared to other Drive forms, making it slower than his enemies during combat.

His stats are also significantly lower than type Dead Heat/Deadheat Drive as it was not meant to be used for live combat. As a result, during his debut, he is barely able to keep up against codeless Roidmudes once his Dead Zone effect runs out.

Drive's special ability in this form is being able to emulate Heart's Dead Zone (デッドゾーン, Deddo Zōn) state by hitting the Boost Igniter four times, which raises his combat capabilities to an incredible degree.

Super Dead Heat Drive consists of the following parts:

  • Unite Aero Met (ユナイトエアロメット, Yunaito Earo Metto): The helmet.
    • Side Guard Module (サイドガードモジュール, Saido Gādo Mojūru): The additional silver armor on the forehead. Armored blocks made of high-strength compressed metal significantly reduce physical damage to the head. In addition, the small shield generator built-into the helmet can halve the power of energy attacks performed by the enemy.
    • R-Emblem (R-エンブレム, R - Enburemu): The logo in the middle of the forehead. It aggregates any data received from the Signal-D in real time. It has a function that automatically distributes energy throughout the body.
    • Multi High Beam Eye (マルチハイビームアイ, Maruchi Hai Bīmu Ai): The compound visual sensors/eyes.
  • G-Night Hidewear (G-ナイトハイドウェア, G-Naito Haidou~ea): The bodysuit. By performing local automatic expansion and contraction and electrical stimulation to the wearer, efficiency of movement is maximized. It allows Drive to perform quick delicate actions, and can also allow the wearer to sneak up on enemies undetected.
  • Vermillion Guard (ヴァーミリオンガード, Vu~āmirion Gādo): The red chest armor. It doubles as a shield generator that covers the entire body, and enhances the defensive power of the parts not covered by the armor.
  • Core Driviar-N (コア・ドライビア-N, Koa Doraibia-N): A gravity drive engine installed within the Breast Cowl. It is Drive's main power source. Its rotations and vibrations release special energy waves that can counteract Heavy Acceleration.
  • Circular Dynamics (サーキュラーダイナミクス, Sākyurā Dainamikusu): A connector located at the back of Super Dead Heat Drive. It is connected directly to the drive engine. When activating a special move, energy is flowed directly into the weapons connected to it.
  • Radiator Guard (ラジエーターガード, Rajiētā Gādo): The right shoulder. It is a cooling device that expels excess heat and prevents overheating of the drive engine. It can absorb and decompose energy in contact with Drive and release them.
  • Armed Enhance (アームドエンハンス, Āmudo Enhansu): The red-colored right arm armor. It is made of hard and thick metal, which greatly reduces the damage caused by physical attacks. It can also instantly increase strength by using the energy generated by the drive engine.
  • Deflect Shoulder (ディフレクトショルダー, Difurekuto Shorudā): The left shoulder. Its shape can deflect enemy attacks. Energy generated by a tackle attack can be concentrated on a single point, which can destroy shielded enemies.
  • Armed Impactor (アームドインパクター, Āmudo Inpakutā): The left arm gauntlet. It is made of hard and thick metal, which greatly reduces the damage caused by energy attacks. It can use the energy generated by the drive engine by punching into the enemy's internals and cause damage.
  • Rapid Raid Glove (ラピッドレイドグローブ, Rapiddo Reido Gurōbu): The reinforced gloves. The surface of the gloves can be covered with compressed energy, and can perform a series of high-speed high-powered punches.
  • Turbo Strength Leg (ターボストレングスレッグ, Tābo Sutorengusu Reggu): The legs. The surface is coated with special particles that forms a shield. The built-in electromagnetic suspension strengthens the legs.
  • Metal Pad Inpulser (メタルパッドインパルサー, Metaru Paddo Inparusā): The reinforced-alloy knee armor. It assists knee movement and strengthens the power of knee kicks.
  • Tracer Boots (トレイサーブーツ, Toreisā Būtsu): The boots. The surface of the boots can be covered with compressed energy, and can perform a super powerful kick. In addition, traces of the tracked object left on the road surface can be detected by a built-in sensor installed in the soles.

This form's Full Throttle finisher is the Burning Smash Macher (バーニングスマッシュマッハー, Bāningu Sumasshu Mahhā)[68], which covers Drive's arm in bright red energy as he jumps towards the enemy and strikes him with a powerful energized punch.

This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future.

Kamen Rider Deadheat Drive (仮面ライダーデッドヒートドライブ, Kamen Raidā Deddo Hīto Doraibu) is Drive's motorcycle and sidecar-based form, which has the physical characteristics of both his and Mach's Rider Systems. Accessed through the Shift Deadheat Car, this form bears the type Dead Heat Tire (タイプデッドヒートタイヤ, Taipu Deddo Hīto Taiya), as well as the DH Kourin (DH-コウリン, Dī Aichi Kōrin, short for/lit. "Dead Heat Rear Wheel") on his right shoulder.

This form retains the exact same stats, as well as the ability to emulate Heart's Dead Zone (デッドゾーン, Deddo Zōn) state, as Drive's original type Dead Heat.

Deadheat Drive consists of the following parts:

  • Evolve Limiter (エヴォルブリミッター, Evorubu Rimittā): The control brace attached to the left wrist. It constantly monitors the transformer's biological data and damage situation, and sets limits on maximum power output and activity time. The limit can be extended by improving the system or by training the wearer's own body.
This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive: Super Movie Wars Genesis.

Rider Statistics[69][70]
  • Height: 194 cm
  • Weight: 114 kg
Ability Parameters[69][70]
  • Punching Power: 4.1 t
  • Kicking Power: 5.9 t
  • Maximum Jump Height: 28 m
  • Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 6.1 seconds (2.1 seconds at full speed)

type Speed (タイプスピード, Taipu Supīdo) is Protodrive's concept sports car-based form, which is accessed through the Shift Speed Prototype Car. Being the actual first prototype version of the current Drive's type Speed, it is aesthetically identical albeit without the spoiler piece on his head, bearing the Tester Met (テスターメット, Tesutaa Metto) and the Archetype Gear (アーキタイプギア, Ākitaipu Gia), which is an incomplete version of the type Speed Tire showing lots of circuitry as a sign of the incomplete state the Rider Form was in. The Rider System is also empowered by the Core Driviar-0, the prototype of the Core Driviars and is highly unstable, with the output of the Rider system varying and becoming hard to control.[71][70]

Protodrive's faults also lies in his fighting prowess. Despite being able to perform the Full Throttle finisher, his kicking power output is about 40% weaker than its intended output range.[72][70] His output for his punching power is also roughly 30% weaker than its intended output range.[73][70]

By inserting a Viral Core into his Shift Brace, Protodrive can read the memories of defeated Roidmudes, which are projected via his Low Beam Eye (ロービームアイ, Rō Bīmu Ai) visor. However, this ability was originally a part of Protodrive's Roidmude abilities. The only defect of Protodrive is that he lacks the ability to destroy Cores because of his status being a prototype, as well as the inability to use a Tire Koukan.

Following his encounter against the Heart Roidmude, Protodrive was defeated and separated from Krim Steinbelt, who would later complete Protodrive, becoming the finalized Drive type Speed. Protodrive's legacy carries on as the combat data based on Protodrive's encounters with the Roidmude during the Global Freeze would be used to create Mashin Chaser. Later, a piece of Mashin Chaser is later used to create the Signal Chaser Bike, creating Kamen Rider Chaser, effectively making it the spiritual successor of Protodrive. The Prototype Shift Speed Car later returns into the hands of Chase once more after becoming a Kamen Rider, allowing him to activate a Tire Koukan using his original companion when in need of accelerated speed as Kamen Rider Chaser.

Protodrive's Full Throttle finisher is the Speedrop (スピードロップ, Supīdoroppu), Protodrive opens his arms and floats into the sky, before his entire body surrounded by aqua blue and pink energy, and then deliver a flying kick towards the enemy in the air.

Kamen Rider Heart type Miracle

"Drive type Miracle! (Dramatic rock guitar solo) Heart the Kamen Rider!"
―Transformation announcement[src]

type Miracle (タイプミラクル, Taipu Mirakuru) is the default form of Heart's Kamen Rider form known as Kamen Rider Heart (仮面ライダーハート, Kamen Raidā Hāto), accessed through the Drive Driver and the Heartron Shift Car, once Brain and Medic fuse their cores into the Drive Driver, allowing Heart to use Shift Heartron's power at maximum.[75]

This form is based off Kamen Rider Drive's type Tridoron, due to Shift Heartron resembling Shift Tridoron. This form also has the ability to execute a Viral Blending (バイラルカキマゼール, Bairaru Kakimazēru), which allows Heart to use the powers of Brain, Medic and his own.

  • Medic: Heart uses an electric golden tentacle to restrict and shock the enemy.
  • Brain: Heart uses a toxic green tentacle to restrict and poison the enemy.
  • Heart: Heart enters the Dead Zone, increasing his power.

Although this form is called Kamen Rider Heart, it is technically a form belonging to the Drive System due to its use of the Drive Driver.

A major downside of this form would be that the amount of energy used is extremely dangerous, proving to be too much for the three Roidmudes' Cores and causing them to fade away once more after that.

This form's Full Throttle finisher is Heartdrop (ハートドロップ, Hātodoroppu)[76], simillar to Drive type Tridoron's Tridrop, where Heart focuses Dead Zone's power into his body then his right leg, making it glow red flame energy as he slams into the enemy with a flying kick.

Its Omega Drive finisher is the Omega Drive (Drive) (オメガドライブ ライブ, Omega Doraibu (Doraibu)), where Ghost immediately performs a variation of Drive type Speed's Full Throttle attack, Speedrop, that has the target being circled by a silhouette of the Tridoron, allowing Ghost's attack to bounce at the opponent in a pinball-like manner.

The Drive Ghost was originally sealed within Drive's Shift Speed Car. Once freed, it entered Takeru's Ghost Driver, creating its Eyecon.

Drive's Eyecon/Damashii exclusively appears on-screen in the Drive Chapter of Kamen Rider Ghost: Legendary! Riders' Souls!.

Derivations[]

Appearances[]

Notes[]

  • Like his predecessor, Drive did not debut in the Summer Movie before his series like the previous four Kamen Riders before Gaim, who instead made his first appearance in the Kamen Rider Wizard two-part epilogue special. However, Drive is the first primary Rider since Decade to debut in his own series.
  • Drive does not possess an O-Signal on his helmet as Kamen Riders usually do. Instead, it is replaced with his emblem, a silver R stylized enough that it resembles a K and enclosing a D, which can stand for "Kamen Rider Drive". The emblem does not "light up", however, as behind it is a vertical line, similar to path "guide lights" in some dangerous roads, that flashes with his eyes as he changes Shift Tires. Occasionally, the eyes would instead glow when he's resolved or when he's about to fight really well.
Type High Speed unused

The prototype type High Speed design.

Early scans and commercials show that Drive type High Speed originally had the same Shift Tire as type Speed; this was later changed in the special the form debuted in.

  • Drive's type Formula is the first Super Form that damages itself overtime but can also self-repair mid-battle.
  • type Tridoron is the first Final Form where the Rider's Rider Machine combines with the Rider himself.
  • Ironically, while Super Dead Heat Drive has the word "Super" in its name, implying it to be more powerful than the regular type Dead Heat, it is actually weaker than type Dead Heat statistically and also in terms of combat ability.
    • In fact, it is his weakest form, being slower than type Speed and weaker than type Wild. Even the prototype Zero Drive from 2005 has slightly stronger stats than Super Dead Heat Drive with the exception of its punching power.
  • Drive is the only Rider to possess two versions of the same form (Deadheat and Super Deadheat).
  • In the DX Break Gunner and Lupin Gunner, the Drive System announcement is made by Drive's normal type Change Cars, Tire Koukan Cars (Lupin Gunner only), and the Special Side of Shift Next Special. This also includes Shift Speed Wild Technic.
  • Drive is the first primary Rider following Black RX to drive an automobile-type Rider Machine.
