What is the role of Atropos in the story of Kamen Rider Dread?
History[]
The Three Dark Sisters created the Dreadriver from fragments of Malgams. Sabimaru Tsuruhara was selected as their first test subject and Atropos commanded him to transform. She gave it the name "Kamen Rider Dread". After Super Gotchard Cross UFOX freed Sabimaru, Kamen Rider Dread was utilized by Lachesis and Clotho.
With Glion's takeover of the Alchemist Academy, Minato took a hard stance to enforce adherence to the Alchemys Union's rules governing the Chemies. He utilized Kamen Rider Dread to confiscate the students' Alchemist Rings and Ride Chemy Cards and expel them. After Minato's failure, Kamen Rider Dread was then utilized by Clotho until her death.
Glion stole Kenichi Tsuruhara's Isaac following his resurrection and transmuted it into a new Dreadriver which integrates Kenichi's AI alchemy. The resulting Dreatroopers (ドレットルーパー, Dorettorūpā) is fully autonomous and contains an AI copy of Glion's mind. In the final battle, countless Dreatroopers assisted Glion by gilding everything with gold. Their actions were reversed by Kamen Rider Gotchard Ultima Steamhopper's power, with all the Dreatroopers transmuted into the New Earth alongside the gold they made.
The Future Daybreak[]
Glion of the alternate future reached the same conclusion and created the mass-produced type Dreatrooper Type Army (ドレットルーパー 軍式, Dorettorūpā Gunshiki).[1]

- Rider Height: 210.9 cm
- Rider Weight: 124.4 kg
- Ability Parameters[2]
- Punching Power: 14.2 t
- Kicking Power: 18.4 t
- Maximum Jump Height: 15.7 m
- Maximum Running Speed: 100 m per 6.1 sec.
Type Zero (零式, Zeroshiki) is Kamen Rider Dread's default form accessed by using the Repli-Steamliner Repli Chemy Card in the Dreadriver. Dread briefly assumes this form while transforming into Dread Type One, Type Two, or Type Three.
Dread has higher punching power, kicking power, and running speed, but a lower jump height. In addition, Dread is able to single-handedly defeat Valvarad without breaking a sweat.
As the antithesis of Gotchard, Dread sacrifices Replichemies to use their powers. As the first user, Sabimaru, has an understanding of the Chemies' characteristics, his knowledge was accumulated into Dread's collective intelligence to bring out the Replichemies' full potential. However, the Dreadriver drains the lifeforce of its wearer. Furthermore, if the user were to get extracted by outside force while the transformation is still active, Dread starts moving autonomously, but it becomes staggered and unable to operate to its fullest.
A fully autonomous soldier called Dreatrooper Type Zero (ドレットルーパー 零式, Dorettorūpā Zeroshiki) was created through AI-based alchemy. It operates according to Glion's thoughts and longer requires a user.
Dread consists of the following parts:
- Dread Mask (ドレッドマスク, Doreddo Masuku): The helmet.
- Wisdom Lamp (ウィズダムランプ, Wizudamu Ranpu): The beacon of wisdom. By accumulating the knowledge possessed by the user and the Replichemy and turning it into a collective intelligence, its intelligence increases with each transformation and transmutation.

It has an extremely strong skeleton and ultra-pressure-resistant structure due to the combination of the human body and the Replichemy Repli-Steamliner.
