The Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride Card Battle War (仮面ライダーバトル ガンバライドカードバトル大戦, Kādo Batoru Taisen) was released on July 29, 2010, featuring a modified game system as there is no on-board card reader for the handheld. The player controls a fan of the Ganbaride game who has to use his or her ability at the game to work for the DOLL paranormal research group who have discovered a weird bug in the game system. Meanwhile, an evil organization called "Bug" has come forward to use this dangerous game mechanic to their advantage.

Gameplay[]

The gameplay is very similar to Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride, except Ganbaride Card Battle War is more story based. However, it shares a lot of fighting mechanics in battles. Outside battles, the player moves around a map to certain locations, more unlocking the further they progress in the game's story. Sometimes, they will be able to scan for "Rider Energy" in the area or face off against a Bug, both events indicated with a "?" icon.

When scanning for Rider Energy, the player can earn GP (Ganbaride Points), earning more the more clearly they scan the Rider's head, body and sharpness, enough for it to be more likely to be identified by DOLL.

In a battle, either by using the Ganbaride at the Shopping Mall, Toy Store or Game Centre, (which costs 100GP, where they can select "Easy", "Medium" or "Hard" difficulty) or against a Bug, the player scans two Hero Cards as their main and supporting Riders, with a chance in battle to protect their main Rider, reducing damage, or performing an extra attack, dealing more damage to the opponent. If the player decides to use Kamen Rider Decade, they have the option to use a Kamen Rider form from one out of the nine Heisei Kamen Riders by scanning another Hero Card for the form for Decade to use. When battling with the Ganbaride, a "Belt Lamp Roulette" will activate to give different bonuses to the player depending on the colour they land on.

In a battle, the player has the choice to enter the Attack Phase, perform a Special Scan or carry out a Finishing Move, or a Double Rider Finish if their Rider Power meter is above 150%. In the Attack Phase, the player team and opposing team use a roulette slot system to determine their attacks, which are divided by type (for example, punches, kicks, and weapon attacks) and power. Whichever team has the highest combined value attacks first; in the event of a tie, a Rider Rush occurs, in which both sides must press the buttons rapidly, with the winner automatically performing a Fierce Attack. The Fierce Attack is the Rider's strongest attack on the roulette slot; if one team performs a strong enough attack, it can stun the opponent temporarily, making them lose their turn. If either team gets two of the same type of attack icon (for instance, two kicks), the Riders will perform an extra-powerful Double Attack. A Special Scan can only be used once per battle to scan a Special Card to benefit the user, such as healing or increasing/decreasing stats, or . During a Finishing Move or Double Rider Finisher, the player must press the B button at the right timing to increase their attack power. The battle proceeds until one team is defeated. Sometimes, thanks to proper support from the secondary Rider, the player may receive Rider Guts when knocked out, restoring some health and allowing them to continue fighting. If a battle continues after Round 4, the game will declare a Final Round, in the form of a Sudden Death by reducing both teams to 1 Hit Point, but filling their Rider Power to 150%, meaning the first team to land a successful attack wins. If a player wins against a Bug, the two Kamen Riders used by the Bug will be transformed into Hero Cards, unlockable to the player and can be used for future battles and earn GP and Battle Points, in the form of XP, which allows them to level up their Health, Attack, Defence or Final bonus points by 10 points every time they level up.
