Kamakiri Kamereon Augment-01 (カマキリ・カメレオンオーグ, Kamakiri Kamereon Ōgu), or simply K.K Aug (K.Kオーグ, Kei Kei Ōgu) is an augmented human and high-ranking executive of Shocker in Shin Kamen Rider. Individually, his respective components are also referred to as Kamakiri Augment-01 (カマキリオーグ, Kamakiri Ōgu, Kamakiri-Aug) and Kamereon Augment-01 (カメレオンオーグ, Kamereon Ōgu, Kamereon-Aug).[1]
History[]
Kamakiri Kamereon Augment-01 was the first tri-species synthetic hybrid augmentation created by SHOCKER's Angels of Death group. He first made his introduction before K in Hachi Augment-01's now-abandoned lair, telling him that they have no chance of coming back. He would then take his hood off, revealing his face and swearing to eliminate the traitors Takeshi Hongo and Ruriko Midorikawa.

Right after Ruriko had finished undoing the brainwashing of Batta Augment-02, K.K-Aug would make his move and stab her in the back while wearing his invisibility poncho. He would then remove his hood, revealing his helmet and introducing himself as the first tri-species synthetic hybrid augment, as well as his intent to take revenge on Kumo-Augment 01's demise. However, before he could deliver the finishing blow, the Hybrid Augment would soon attacked by the newly-reformed Hayato Ichimonji as Hongo is unable to fight at the moment. As Ichimonji declares himself as a "Kamen Rider", K.K Aug become livid and starts attacking him. However, Ichimonji maintains an upper hand and easily breaks the Mantis side of K.K Aug helmet, further aggravating him.
K.K Aug would then unzip his left sleeve, revealing a mantis-like blade hidden in his mutated arm before wildly and blindly slashing away at the newly minted traitor. But once again, Ichimonji reigns victorious after he ripped the Blade from K.K-Aug's arm, before finishing him off with a Rider Kick and sending the Hybrid Augment flying back and through several stone pillars. In his last moments, K.K Aug apologizes to Kumo-Aug for failing him in his final moments.
Nevertheless, K.K-Aug's assassination attempt was a success, resulting in Ruriko dying of blood loss and her dead body dissolving into foam.
Personality[]
K.K Aug is a bloodthirsty psychopath who takes pleasure in his work of killing traitors to the organization, and isn't above attacking someone while they're completely defenseless. He also has a sadistic side to him as well, laughing and congratulating himself for his work after looking at Ruriko's stab wound and then taking pleasure out of hitting said wound with the handle of one of his knives. Possibly due to his idolization of Kumo Augment-01, who he posthumously calls Kumo-Senpai (クモ先輩), he views betrayal as something worse than murder and revenge as an act that is more noble than helping others. It is because of this mentality, as well as his psychopathic personality, that traitors (especially newly minted traitors such as Ichimonji) stir his ire.
Another trait that he likely picked up from Kumo-Aug is his obsession for covering his face with a mask, and became even more livid when the mantis half of his mask was shattered by Ichimonji's Rider Chop. On another note, he has a habit of hissing or slurping before he speaks, especially if he is angered. Whether or not this is simply a habit of his or a side effect of his Augmentation Surgery is unknown.

- Camouflage: K.K-Aug wears a special poncho to blend into the surrounding scenery for the purpose of assassinating his targets when they least expect it.
- Mantis Arm Blade: Thanks to half of his body being augmented with the traits of a mantis, K.K-Aug's left arm is mutated into a more insectoid appearance with an organic blade resembling the raptorial claw of a Praying Mantis emerging from his wrist.

- According to designer Mahiro Maeda, Kamakiri Kamereon Augment-01's hybrid design is an homage to the Gel Shocker story arc monsters.
- Kamakiri Kamereon Augment-01's belt is a Simplified Typhoon used by the Phase Variation Batta Augments but with a black wind turbine.
- In the movie, Kamakiri Kamereon Augment-01 had mentioned that he is one of the members of the "Shinigami Group", the group's name is a callback to another Shocker member in the manga.
