Kamen Rider Kachidoki (仮面ライダー凱鬼, Kamen Raidā Kachidoki, lit "Masked Rider Triumphant Demon") is a character in Kamen Rider Hibiki.
Personality and background[]
Kachidoki was originally named something else and decided at one point to become an Oni. He trained under the tutelage of another Oni and was eventually successful in becoming one himself. He then adopted the name of Kachidoki (カチドキ). In November of 2004, Kachidoki travelled to Ogara in the Akita Prefecture where he battled and defeated a Yamabiko and its parent Douji and Hime.
History[]
Having joined Hibiki for a search mission to find a Yamabiko, Kasumi Tachibana relays the available information about the Makamou. She said that the last reported Yamabiko appeared in Ogara during November of the previous year, and that Kachidoki was the one who defeated it. [Falling Voice]
Behind the scenes[]
Kachidoki was the second Oni to be mentioned in Kamen Rider Hibiki. Although he has only been mentioned, there was some information that could be retrieved from what was said, such as how only percussion-type Oni are assigned to defeat the Yamabikos, which makes him a percussion user. He was active in Ogara, a location that is situated in the Akita Prefecture of the Tōhoku region, which makes him an Oni of the Tohoku region.
Like with the other Oni, Kachidoki most likely trained under the previous Kachidoki, just as how Zanki trained under the previous Zanki. But there are exceptions such as Todoroki who trained under Zanki but chose to use a new title.
