The Juuga Driver (ジュウガドライバー, Juuga Doraibā) is the transformation device used by Kamen Rider Juuga. It is the completed form of the Chimera Driver.
Overview[]
Using the Chimera Driver as a prototype, the Juuga Driver was developed by George Karizaki as a Driver that does not rely on the power of demons or place a burden on the human body. This Rider System was constructed with a different approach from existing systems in terms of Vistamp operation, has extremely high responsiveness and versatility. An artificial genome is generated in real time from the 10 types of genetic information stored in the Juuga Vistamp, giving the user maximum fighting power in accordance with the battle situation.
Design[]
The Juuga Driver is composed of the following parts:
- Throttle Commander (スロットルコマンダー, Surottoru Komandā): The input. The transformation sequence is executed by setting an active Vistamp in the slot and inputting the command with the roll function. After transformation, it functions as a starting point for activating various finishing moves.
- D Amazing Black (Dアメイジングブラック, D Ameijingu Burakku): The exterior material. It is a high-density sintered substance made by blending the rare metal Astmetalum (アストメタルム, Asutometarumu) with carbon and other materials. It has possesses hardness comparable to diamond while providing high shock absorption.
- Juuga Engine (ジュウガエンジン, Juuga Enjin): The built-in power source. It extracts high-purity energy, which is the source of life, from the genetic information stored in the Vistamp, then accelerates and amplifies it to create Humanistic Energy (ヒューマニスティックエナジー, Hyūmanisutikku Enajī), an ultra-high density energy specialized for strengthening the human body.
- Genome Stream 3 (ゲノムストリーム3, Genomu Sutorīmu 3): The pipeline. It is responsible for sending the genetic information stored in the Vistamp to the Tri Geno Blender via three channels.
- Tri Geno Blender (トライゲノブレンダー, Torai Geno Burendā): The genome blender. It is responsible for generating an artificial genome, the "Species Genome," by precisely mixing and balancing the power of 10 types of genetic information obtained from the dedicated Juuga Vistamp. This minimizes power loss due to conflicting abilities, enabling real-time supply of abilities optimized for the surrounding environment and battle conditions.
- Rider Absorber (ライダアブゾーバー, Raida Abusōbā): The R-factor extractor placed above the Tri Geno Blender. It has a mechanism to extract the R-Factor (R因子, R Inshi), a medium incorporated by George Karizaki, from another Vistamp used after transformation, and can divert it to strengthen finishing moves.
Functionality[]
Transformation[]
After activating the Juuga Vistamp, 10 colored animal constructs (including a violet Tyrannosaurus Rex, magenta Megalodon, green Eagle, red Mammoth, tangerine Pteranodon, gold Lion, yellow Jackal, orange Gorilla, blue Mantis, and pink Brachiosaurus) surround the user. Setting and pulling the Vistamp causes the user to be enveloped in a black tornado to form the Rider suit. The constructs combine with the user to complete their transformation as Kamen Rider Juuga.
Finisher[]
- Main article: Finisher (Revice)
After transformation, the user activates the corresponding finisher by pulling the Vistamp to the side once and then the amount of times ranging from one to four times.
The user can also scan another Vistamp on the Rider Absorber before pulling the Juuga Vistamp to the side once.
Users (chronological order)[]
User | Kamen Rider | Episode Obtained | Description |
George Karizaki | Kamen Rider Juuga | Karizaki's Rebellion, The Price of Transformation | After recovering the second Chimera Driver from Orteca, George continued his research and completed the Juuga Driver. |

Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
The Juuga Driver is voiced by Ryo Horikawa (堀川 りょう, Horikawa Ryō)[1], who previously made a guest appearance in Episode 31. Horikawa later would go on voice Balidelo in Kamen Rider Geats × Revice: Movie Battle Royale.
Notes[]
- Whereas in-series the Juuga Driver is remodeled from the Chimera Driver, the DX Chimera Driver includes a standalone DX Juuga Driver Unit, which can be attached onto the Chimera Driver to convert it into the Juuga Driver.
- Juuga’s standby loop announces Revice's 10 main Vistamps in the order they appeared on-screen, not the order they were obtained in-series. Thus, Megalodon comes before Eagle.
- Juuga's standby loop plays in different manners between the TV series and the DX toy:
- The DX toy plays a pulsating sound effect between each animal announcement.
- In the TV series, the animals are continuously announced as the pulsating sounds are played in the background.
- When a Vistamp is scanned on the Juuga Driver, it will announce the name of the associated Rider. Activating a finisher then results in a unique announcement that incorporates the name of the animal as well as (usually) the Legend Rider's finisher in their default form:
- Batta (Ichigo): Batta Typhoon Attack! (バッタタイフーンアタック!, Batta Taifūn Atakku!)
- Rather than a finisher, this announcement references Kamen Rider 1's transformation belt, the Typhoon.
- Lion (Kuuga): Lion Mighty Attack! (ライオンマイティアタック!, Raion Maiti Atakku!)
- Derived from Kuuga's Mighty Kick finisher.
- Tricera (Agito): Tricera Ground Attack! (トリケラグランドアタック!, Torikera Gurando Atakku!)
- Rather than a finisher, this announcement is derived from Agito's Ground Form.
- Komodo Dragon (Ryuki): Komodo Dragon Final Attack! (コモドドラゴンファイナルアタック!, Komodo Doragon Fainaru Atakku!)
- Derived from the Final Vent finishers.
- Ptera (Faiz): Ptera Crimson Attack! (プテラクリムゾンアタック!, Putera Kurimuzon Atakku!)
- Derived from Faiz's Crimson Smash finisher.
- King Crab (Blade): King Crab Lightning Attack! (キングクラブライトニングアタック!, Kingu Kurabu Raitoningu Atakku!)
- Derived from Blade's Lightning Blast and Lightning Sonic finishers.
- Hashibiroko (Hibiki): Hashibiroko Bakuretsu Attack! (ハシビロコウ爆裂アタック!, Hashibirokō Bakuretsu Atakku!)
- Rather than a finisher, this announcement is derived from Hibiki's Bakuretsu Kaentsuzumi weapon.
- Oomukade (Kabuto): Oomukade Clock Attack! (オオムカデクロックアタック!, Ōmukade Kurokku Atakku!)
- Rather than a finisher, this announcement is derived from Kabuto's Clock Up ability.

- All other Riders are placed into two generic categories:
- Rider: Turtle, Scorpion, Mogura, Kujaku, Anomalocaris, Condor, White Leo, Quetzalcoatlus, Bat, Cobra, Spider, Kabuto, Kuwagata, Queen Bee, Hercules, Twin Chimera, Tri Chimera, Wolf, Daiouika, Giff Junior.
- Extra: Barid Rex, Volcano, Holy Wing, Thunder Gale, Giffard Rex N, Giffard Rex S, Trooper Spider, Trooper Kuwagata, Fifty Gale. While not usable under normal circumstances due to their sizes, the Rolling and Crimson Vail Vistamps are also placed in this category.
- The Batta Vistamp is the only Vistamp based on a Showa Rider to result in a unique announcement, while the Rex Vistamp is the only one based on a Revice Rider to do so.
- The Chameleon and Planarian Vistamps are the only ones with unique announcements to be based on Riders who are not the primary Rider of a season.
- The Juuga Driver is the only transformation device in Revice that mentions the Legend Rider basis of Vistamps. All other devices only mention the animal basis.
