Hostage Trouble, What Will the Brothers Do!? (人質トラブル、どうする兄弟!?, Hitojichi Toraburu, Dousuru Kyōdai!?) is the third episode of Kamen Rider Revice. It features the debuts of the Ptera and completed Mammoth Vistamps, Revi and Vice's Mammoth Genome, and Revice Mammoth.

"There's more to the world than a bath house..." Daiji was visiting his mother, Yukimi's hospital room. He is worried that his brother Ikki won't sign a contract with Fenix, so he went to consult with her about it. Their mother kindly tells Daiji, "You should just do what you can". Meanwhile, Ikki is having issues with yet another kind of contract. While their family consented to the eviction proceedings of their bath house due to the city's renovations, Ikki still refuses to accept the outcome. "This bath house belongs to our family!" Just then, his childhood friend Ayaka, who was out shopping, contacts him. "Ikki! A Deadman has appeared!" Ikki has a love for bath houses stronger than anyone else, but at the remark he jumps out of the hot water like a conditioned reflex. However, Sakura and her friends are being threatened by a man with a gun and have been taken as hostages.

As the Deadmen plan their next move to revive Giff, they receive assistance from a mysterious hooded person. Meanwhile, Daiji visits his mother in the hospital, who advises him to do what he does best. Back at Shiawase Yu, the bathhouse was in danger of being evicted, and Ikki affirms that they would never move out with support from the nearby neighbors.

Sakura goes out shopping with her friend Ayaka, after her mom dropped her before taking the latter's little sister to a photoshoot. However a man watches over them with the intent of kidnapping Ayaka. At the shop, as Ayaka picks out a pair of shoes, the Deadmen appear and cause a commotion with several Giff Juniors. The two girls hide, and Sakura calls Ikki, who rushes over on his bike to help with the evacuation. As Ikki tells the girls to run, Ayaka is caught by her kidnapper, with him threatening to kill her should Ikki not also hand over Sakura as well. Ikki is forced to comply and attempts to follow, but is ambushed by the Kong Deadman who appeared from the same place. Daiji arrives and gives Ikki the Revice Driver, allowing Revi and Vice to go into battle.

Mid-battle, the Kong Deadman runs back to the warehouse where Sakura and Ayaka were being kept. Asking Daiji to prioritize rescuing the hostages, Revi and Vice access Eagle Genome to deal with the Deadmen out front, but are attacked by Julio in his transformed state. He proposed a deal to release the hostages in exchange for the Vistamps. Daiji returns to the Fenix Skybase and receives the Mammoth and Ptera Vistamps, while also seeing a new transformation belt.

The kidnapper then has Ayaka contact her family, but she is ignored by her mother and laments being overshadowed by her little sister. Daiji returns to the warehouse and gives the Ptera Vistamp to Julio, but he is instead attacked and knocked out, but not before giving the Mammoth Stamp to Revi. As the two access Mammoth Genome, they fight Julio and defeat the Kong Deadman, with some of the attack reverb distracting the kidnapper, and allowing Sakura and Ayaka to retaliate and escape.

Sakura and Ayaka thank Ikki for his help, and Ikki thanks Daiji in turn for bringing the new Vistamp. However, Daiji wallows in pity, thinking back to when he asked to use the new Driver, but was shot down by Wakayabashi and told to not bring his own personal issues into the workplace. Later, Hiromi interrogates the kidnapper and discovers that he was not the Vistamp user, revealing that he received money to kidnap the girls from a hooded figure... wearing the same pair of shoes that Ayaka had purchased.

  • Kamen Rider Den-O:
    • The way the Mammoth Genome Mask attaches to Revi is the same way the DenKamen on Den-O Sword Form attaches to the Plat Form.
    • Vice performs Momotaros's "Ore Sanjou" pose and announces "Ore Vice desu", which is a reference to Momotaros's "Ore Sanjou" line.
