Hinau is a young island girl that Joji Yuki befriends in Tahiti after she saves him and Annrietta Birkin.
History[]
A few days after the defeat of Destron in 1974, Hinau was walking along the beach when she came across Joji and Anrietta, who washed up on shore unconscious after jumping off a cliff to escape from a revived General Yoroi. She took them to her grandfather who tended to them and she watched them until they woke up. Joji had amnesia due to the blast of the Pluton Bomb causing head trauma, so she referred to Joji as "George". She then tries to defend her grandfather who was collecting pearls from a band of thugs who wanted to rob him, only to be overpowered by their leader. She then witnessed Joji use his cybernetic arm to break the leader's knife and scare them away. Joji then has a flash of memory that he had a helmet and asks Hinau if she had seen it, but she lies and says that she hasn't. As Joji stays, she sees him as something of a father figure and Annrietta as a mother, as her parents died when she was a baby. She bonds with the two for several days, until General Yoroi finds the two and burns her village to the ground, killing several of the natives and attacking her grandfather. At first, she is conflicted about giving Joji his helmet as it would mean he would leave her but realizes that he will lose the fight if she doesn't. After giving it to Annrietta, she witnesses Joji transform into Riderman and regain his memories. She cheers on her "papa" to defeat General Yoroi. After the battle, the next morning, she apologizes to "George" for hiding his helmet and realizes his arm is made to protect everyone. She then says goodbye to him as Joji boards a plane to meet up with V3.
In the present, Hinau, now a young woman, is briefly seen as her grandfather urges her to watch the news on TV about Badan's invasion.
