Hideyoshi (ヒデヨシ) is the lord of the Double Army (W(ダブル)軍, Daburu Gun), who greatly resembles Ryu Terui. He rules with his wife, Chacha. He leads Kamen Rider Bujin Double, who becomes CycloneJokerXtreme, into battle against Kamen Rider Bujin Gaim, until his Bujin's battle was interrupted by Kamen Rider Zangetsu, who unintentionally assisted Bujin Gaim. After Bujin Double is consumed, Hideyoshi decides to fight on his own, but ran off with his wife Cha-Cha. [Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle]
Behind the scenes[]
Portrayal[]
Hideyoshi is portrayed by Minehiro Kinomoto (木ノ本 嶺浩, Kinomoto Minehiro), who previously portrayed Ryu Terui/Kamen Rider Accel from Kamen Rider W.
Basis[]
Toyotomi Hideyoshi (豊臣 秀吉 February 2, 1536 or March 26, 1537 – September 18, 1598) was a preeminent daimyo, warrior, general and politician of the Sengoku period who is regarded as Japan's second "great unifier." He succeeded his former liege lord, Oda Nobunaga, and brought an end to the Sengoku period. The period of his rule is often called the Momoyama period, named after Hideyoshi's castle. After his death, his young son Hideyori was displaced by Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Notes[]
- Hideyoshi also owns a sword that looks exactly like Ryu's Engineblade.
- In order to allow viewers to easily identify Hideyoshi's actor, he holds a fan with one side saying "Do not ask me questions!" (俺に質問するな!, Ore ni shitsumon suru na!), as a nod to his previous role as Ryu.
