Hidekazu Chinen (知念 英和, Chinen Hidekazu) is a Japanese actor who portrays Shoma/Kamen Rider Gavv in Kamen Rider Gavv.

Personal life[]
- Chinen watched Kamen Rider Zero-One on the recommendation of director Teruaki Sugihara to prepare for his role[1], noting that like Aruto Hiden, Shoma is very bright in personality. Chinen also took heavy inspiration from Fumiya Takahashi's portrayal of the character in both physical action scenes and behind-the-booth ADR recording sessions.[2]
- As a child, Chinen watched Kamen Rider W, Kamen Rider OOO, and Kamen Rider Fourze. He stated that he particularly liked OOO because it was popular amongst the other children his age, reminiscing that his grandfather lined up at the store during Christmas to buy him an DX OOO Driver.[3]

- Chinen celebrated his 19th birthday while filming episode 1 of Kamen Rider Gavv, and recieved a Gavv-shaped cake with a gummy bear.[4]
- He is the second Okinawan actor to play the main Kamen Rider in a Kamen Rider series (the first being Shun Nishime, who played Takeru Tenkuji/Kamen Rider Ghost in Kamen Rider Ghost).
