The Henshin Belt Bitter Gavv (変身ベルトビターガヴ, Henshin Beruto Bitā Gavu), or simply the Bitter Gavv, is the transformation device used by Kamen Rider Bitter Gavv.[1]
Overview[]
Dark Shoma's gavv generates kin, the Gochizo, by eating treats from the human world. He can use the Gochizos to transform and materialize their violent characteristics.
Components[]
The Bitter Gavv is composed of the following parts:[2]
- Munch Beater (マンチビーター, Manchi Bītā): The chewing organ. Chewing occurs by rotating.
- Heg Bite (ヘグバイト, Hegu Baito): The upper jaw. By eating treats from the human world, it is possible to create Gochizo that reflected the taste, texture, and prejudices of the human world.
- Dark Devour (ダークディバウアー, Dāku Dibauā): The lip smack. Smacking it causes a transformation or materialization of the violent characteristics of Dark Shoma's Gochizo.
- Distongue (ディスタン, Disutan): The tongue. It has the property of transforming the abilities of Gochizo into pure, ferocious power.
Functionality[]
Gochizo Creation[]
A Gochizo is created from the Bitter Gavv whenever Dark Shoma eats the corresponding snack, as is the case with the original Shoma. However, unlike his counterpart, only very specific snacks will produce Gochizos. Dark Shoma has been shown eating the same marshmallows and ramune candy as Shoma with no effect. In addition, whereas any lollipop will create a Vrocan Gochizo when eaten by Shoma, Dark Shoma had to try several different brown sugar snacks in order to find the one that would produce a Vrocan Spicy Gochizo.
Transformation[]
To transform into Kamen Rider Bitter Gavv, Dark Shoma opens the Heg Bite of the Bitter Gavv, causing the Distongue to protrude. He inserts Gochizo onto the Distongue and closes the Heg Bite. Rotating the Munch Beater makes the Bitter Gavv chew as Dark Shoma produces the biological tissue of the corresponding snack from his body. Sparkingummy Gochizo generates a large cola bottle-shaped gummy. Dark Shoma hits the Dark Devour causing the Gochizo to awaken and the biological tissue to fall on him.The armor materializes around Dark Shoma's transformed body as the snack combust and explodes internally, completing the transformation. Dark Shoma's eyes will glow purple during this process.
Finisher[]
Bitter Gavv activates a finisher by turning the Munch Beater and pressing the Dark Devour. Once the finisher is performed, the Gochizo inside will presumably die.
Summoning[]
Certain Gochizo allow Bitter Gavv to summon a vehicle. Bitter Gavv can also summon the Bitter Gavvgablade at any time by ejecting it from the mouth of the Bitter Gavv.

- The Bitter Gavv is a retool of the Henshin Belt Gavv.
- The "yummy" (ヤミー, yamī) used in the transformation announcements may be a pun on the Japanese word for "darkness" (闇, yami).
- Just as the Gavv is similar to the Build Driver, the Bitter Gavv is similar to the Evol-Driver, being a retool of the main Rider's belt that is used by a major antagonist.
