Hellhound (ヘルハウンド, Heruhaundo) is a Phantom born from within TV Yuhi morning news announcer Kazuo Tajima (田島 一夫, Tajima Kazuo) when he gave in to despair. His Gate target is Shunpei Nara (奈良 瞬平, Nara Shunpei).

History[]

Hellhound first seen sent by Phoenix and Medusa to create a new Phantom using Shunpei Nara. As his human form Kazuo Tajima, Hellhound sought to turn Shunpei Nara into a Phantom by destroying the young man's dreams of ever being a mage, he uses his shadow ability to trick Shunpei into thinking he gained magic powers before humiliating him on national television and forcing him to destroy his childhood book to begin the creation of a new Phantom.

Kamen Rider Wizard arrives to battle Hellhound on live television, but the Phantom outsmarts him by sneaking in and out of shadows before destroying the TV camera. After using the Light Magic Ring to flush out Hellhound, he changes to Water Style to counter the Phantom's flame attacks before finishing him off with the Water Slash Strike.

Hellhound is a Phantom whose power over flame includes the ability to shoot fire from its mouth. It also had a motorcycle called Black Dog (ブラックドッグ, Burakku Doggu) that it uses to evade the attacks of Kamen Rider Wizard, but it was destroyed by Wizard in their second fight.

  • Human Disguise: Like all Phantoms, Hellhound can use his original Gates appearance as a disguise to blend in.
  • Pyrokinesis: Hellhound is able to manipulate flames.
    • Fire Bolts: Hellhound can release arrow-shaped blasts of fire from his mouth.
    • Flame Blast: Hellhound can release a large stream of fire from his mouth.
  • Shadow Hiding: Hellhound can hide inside shadows and use them to make surprise attacks, or if he hides inside a person's shadow he can control their body.

  • Cleverness: Hellhound has proven to be very crafty.
  • Motorcycle Skills: Hellhound was shown to be a skilled motorcycle driver.

Weaknesses[]

  • Lack of Darkness: Hellhound's shadow hiding ability cannot work if there is no shadows in his immediate area.
  • Water: Being a creature with fire-elemental powers, Hellhound is vulnerable to water.

  • Sword: Hellhound wielded a sword for close-range combat.
  • Black Dog: Hellhounds personal motorcycle that he uses as transport, it was eventually destroyed by Kamen Rider Wizard in their second fight.
