The Gundephone50 (ガンデフォン50, Gande Fon Fifuti) is a cellphone-like sidearm used by senior members of Fenix who are at the rank of squad leader or above. It is also used by Kamen Rider Revi and Kamen Rider Vice, with the latter being able to possess the phone and communicate with others other than Ikki,
Design[]
The Gundephone50 consists of the following parts:
- Gundephone Active (ガンデフォンアクティブ, Gandefon Akutibu): The start button.
- Gundemuzzle (ガンデマズル, Gande Mazuru): The muzzle in Gun Mode. It is usually operated in paralyzer mode, which is non-lethal. However, if Deadmen are detected, it is possible to use the special electromagnetic bullet Stabullet (スタブレット, Sutaburetto) with authorization from Fenix Headquarters.
- Gundephone Body (ガンデフォンボディ, Gandefon Bodi): The exterior. It is robust enough to protect the internal equipment from any impact as well as waterproof and dustproof, and and has sufficient performance to support difficult missions. In addition, the entire frame functions as an antenna and links with the flying command ship Fenix Skybase as well as other Gundephone50s using a secret line dedicated to Fenix.
- Gundetrigger (ガンデトリガー, Gandetoriga): The trigger in Gun Mode. When the attack target is confirmed, the safety is released and the attack is performed.
- Gundegrip (ガンデグリップ, Gandegurippu): The grip. It has a built-in large capacity battery with a standby battery life of 1200 hours (50 days) in Phone Mode. This allows the generation of up to 50 Stablet electromagnetic bullets for use against Deadmen while in Gun Mode.
- Phonedemonitor (フォンデモニター, Fondemonitā): The display screen. An ultra-high-definition touch panel display is used, and the built-in 50 terabyte memory allows 50 apps to run simultaneously. In addition, a screen of up to 50 inches can be displayed in the air by projection.
- Phonedecamera (フォンデカメラ, Fondekamera): The camera. Three units are installed, with the main camera being 5 billion pixels and the sub cameras being 500 million pixels. They are also incorporated into the sensors of the Gun Mode and are used for recognition of Deadmen and target locking. By using the apps, various special ways of shooting footage are possible, and this functions as the third eye of the Fenix members.
Modes[]
The Gundephone has two modes: Phone Mode (フォンモード, Fon Mōdo) and Gun Mode (ガンモード, Gan Modo).
Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
The DX version is voiced by Subaru Kimura who voiced as Vice and the Seiza Blaster in Kyuranger.
Notes[]
- Its name literally translates to "Phone with Gun" (ガンでフォン, Gan de Fon).
- Although the feature has yet to be seen in the Revice series, Vistamps are able to be scanned onto the back of the DX Gundephone50, resulting in 1-2 voice clips of Vice that differ depending on what Vistamp is scanned.
