This article is about a monster in Kamen Rider Gavv. |
Granute Dean (グラニュート・ディーン, Guranyūto Dīn)[1] is a part-timer working for Stomach Inc.. He pretends to be a gallery manager named Katsumi Iwashimizu (岩清水 克美, Iwashimizu Katsumi) and later an Italian art dealer named Amanto Sardina (アマント・サルディーナ, Amanto Sarudīna).
History[]
After being surgically modified with a new ability by Nyelv Stomach, Dean resumed his task of collecting Human Presses by targeting artists under the guise of a gallery manager. One evening, he approached Masako Takarayashiki's mansion and chose Tamaki Tatehori, lying to her by offering her a trip to Paris, only to bring her to his artist studio and turn her into a Human Press. The next day, Shoma arrived, after being told by one of his Poppingummy Gochizo of Dean's action, and demanded to let Tamaki go after showing the Gochizo's memory through his new phone. Dean scoffed and both combatants transformed into their respective forms to fight, each trading blows that lead them to a parking garage. Dean had the upper hand with his sardine projectiles until Kamen Rider Gavv transformed it his Chocodan form, evening the playing field as Gavv countered to Dean's sardine projectiles with his chocolate shots from his Chocodangun. Gavv then executed his Chocodan Finish after forcing Dean into a corner, seemingly destroying the Granute and retrieving Tamaki. [What Flavor Lies Beneath the Mask]
Dean, however, survived by using his ability to creating a copy of himself with his sardines, and returned to Takarayashiki's mansion the following evening under the alias Amanto Sardina, selecting Suetsugu Egawa as his next target. Dean returned the next day as Shoma, Hanto Karakida and Sachika Amane watched from afar, planning to abduct Suetsugu. He examined Suetsugu's art until Shoma arrived with tea and spilled it on Dean as part of a ploy to expose Dean's true form by lifting up his shirt to reveal his Gavv. With his disguise ruined, Dean reverted back to his Granute form and escaped with Hanto and Shoma in pursuit. As Shoma and Hanto transformed into their respective rider forms, they engaged Dean in a warehouse, who was using the racks as cover to create his clones for the riders to fight.
Dean kept hiding and creating clones as both Gavv Chocodon and Valen destroy them with their respective Rider Shooting finishers until an enraged Sachika arrived and doused orange paint on the real Dean, who used the cover of a rack being destroyed by Valen's finisher to create a clone for them to fight. Both Sachika and Gavv noticed the clone wasn't covered in paint, with the latter realizing Dean's game and managed to find him and expose his strategy. Backed into a corner, Dean modified his clone to create a swarm of flying sardines to attack both riders. Dean managed to overwhelm the riders until Gavv used his Chocodon Gochizos to create the Chocodonguns for himself and Valen, allowing them to turn the tables and destroy the sardine swarm. Both riders then turned their attentions to the genuine Dean, overpowering the Granute before finishing him off with a Chocodon Burst and Chocodon finisher combo. [Dual Chocolate]
