Gira Gira (ギラギラ, lit. "Gleam") is the name given to people's desires and also serves as a form of power source for a God of Genesis.
Overview[]
Throughout the show, Gira Gira has been shown to have a number of unique properties:
- As Gira Gira refers to someone's desires, it is a major driving factor in people's personality. This is best displayed in retired DGP participants who have had their Gira Gira stolen, leaving them to act as if their previous desires never mattered to them.
- Gira Gira can be stored in Rider Core IDs, which are later used as a source of power for a God of Genesis to remake the world. Additionally, Gira Gira stored in cracked Rider Core IDs can be used as fertilizer to promote a Jyamato's growth.
- Gira Gira can be used to grant people's wishes without being consumed. This is done if a wish of someone or a group of people resonates strongly enough with that of a God of Genesis.[Genesis VI: Neon, Shines]
- "Tsumuri" has been shown to be able to directly absorb someone's Gira Gira as long as she is making contact with that person, as demonstrated when she absorbed Beroba's Gira Gira to turn Daichi Isuzu's Tree of Knowledge into the ultimate Jyamato.[Genesis VIII: Goodbye, Michi]
