In the storyboard, his name was written as Galaxy King (ギンガオー, Ginga Ō).[1] In the draft Nine Riders vs. Galaxy Great Fortess (9人ライダー対銀河大要塞, Kyu'nin Raidā tai Ginga Dai Yōsai), he was named Galaxy Emperor (銀河大帝, Ginga Taitei).[2]
