Geats Extra: Kamen Rider Tycoon meets Kamen Rider Shinobi (ギーツエクストラ 仮面ライダータイクーン meets 仮面ライダーシノビ, Gītsu Ekusutora: Kamen Raidā Taikūn mītsu Kamen Raidā Shinobi) is a TTFC-exclusive crossover web special between Kamen Rider Geats and Kamen Rider Shinobi, serving as the second installment of Geats Extra . In the special, Keiwa and Sara are transported to the World of Shinobi where they assist Rentaro and his allies in fighting the powerful Amakusa Shiro Tokisada.

Production[]

The special was one of two announced at the Kamen Rider Geats: GOLDEN DESIRE NIGHT stage-talk show, alongside Geats Extra: Kamen Rider PunkJack. A trailer was released[1], announcing that Hideya Tawada, Asuka Hanamura, and Takuma Zaiki would reprise their roles as Rentaro Kagura, Iroha Kagura, and Isamichi Konjo respectively.

On May 21, it was announced that Shun Sugata and Eiji Togashi would reprise their roles as Ryo Murasame and Kamen Rider Kenzan from Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!! and Kamen Rider Saber respectively, while Revice-star Shohei Hashimoto would star as the special's main antagonist.[2]

Synopsis[]

Amakusa Shiro Tokisada has taken over the Konjo Company and wishes to take over the world as well. Meanwhile, siblings Keiwa and Sara Sakurai are sucked into the World of Shinobi, and become puzzled by the society of ninjas. The appearance of ninja Riders from all over the world will create new turmoil!

Continuity and Placement[]

Plot[]

In a recap section of "Episode 45", it is revealed that Rentaro has lost his ninja powers after trying to rescue his sister, Iroha, from Amakusa Shiro. His friend and rival Konjo perished after blocking an attack from Shiro, leaving Rentaro devastated.

Shiro, after capturing all the Riders in his world, decided to extend his scope to other worlds as well. One of them is the World of Geats, where Keiwa and his sister are shopping. After being sucked into a portal, they woke up in a world vastly different from theirs. Sara picks up Keiwa's driver and is quickly kidnapped by Shiro's henchmen and Keiwa is teleported once again to a training ground, where he sees Rentaro, now depressed as he can no longer transform. After being briefed by Master Gamano, whom Keiwa briefly mistakes for Kekera due to being a frog, Keiwa decided to cheer Rentaro up with tanuki soba noodles using his own cooking skills.

At the same time, Shiro reveals his plans: To marry Iroha so that he can possess the powers of Shinobi. Sara is then taken into the same chamber as Iroha, where they both discuss their clumsy brothers.

The very next day, as Iroha's 18th birthday comes closer, she and Sara form a plan to escape, but this is shortlived as Iroha is put under mind control by Shiro. Meanwhile, their "clumsy" brothers are discussing their secret identities to each other, which they both keep secret from their sisters. Suddenly, they are attacked by henchmen. Rentaro fails to cast his ninjutsu and is depressed. Keiwa, with a wheelbarrow, pulls both of them into safety.

Conveniently, they arrived at the company building at the same time as Sara escaped. After arriving to the wedding hall, Shiro summons Ninja Riders from another worlds: Kenzan and Fuma, who effortlessly beat up Keiwa and Rentaro. As all hope seems lost, Murasame Ryo shows up, as his cyborg body is immune to Shiro's ninjutsu. He then transforms into ZX and buys the group enough time for Sara to distract Shiro using her ultimate move: Nichiyobi Dance, shattering the spell, returning the Riders, and Iroha, back to normal.

Shiro promptly runs away, and is chased by Keiwa and Rentaro. The three got into an intense sword fight, until Shiro "resurrects" Isamichi Konjo transforming into Hattari Yami. Rentaro is reminded of his oath after seeing Keiwa blocking Shiro from killing him. His Ninja powers return and powers up Keiwa's Ninja buckle into Shinobi Buckle.

The Ninja Riders. including ZX, Fuma, Kenzan, Shinobi and Tycoon defeats Shiro, but a confused Konjo transforms into Hattari Yami and is abducted by Shiro who believes he can still use him. The other Riders return to their respective worlds, much to the delight of Rentaro and Iroha. Keiwa and Sara say goodbye to their friends from another world and head back home through the portal, while Iroha wonders why her brother has Shinobi’s hyotan. Rentaro dodges her question and tries to bestow his powers to Iroha, but she says she refuses to take the line of succession and that her mysterious guardian is more worthy of the power.

In a preview section for "Episode 47", Amakusa Shiro reveals himself to be Rentaro's father.

In a waiting room, Fuku Suzuki is watching Shinobi excitedly and exclaiming his love for the Kamen Rider franchise. Afterwards, he is called for a performance.

Errors[]

  • Shinobi's transformation announcement plays before Rentaro spins the Shinobidriver.

Release[]

  • The special was released on DVD/Blu-Ray December 16, 2023.

Notes[]

  • This special crosses-over Tycoon and Shinobi with most if not all of the pre-existing ninja-themed Riders from the entire Kamen Rider franchise, namely Ryo Murasame/Kamen Rider ZX from Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!!, Kagenari Nagumo/Kamen Rider Fuma from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid: True Ending, and Ren Akamichi/Kamen Rider Kenzan from Kamen Rider Saber.
    • Yoshikuni Dochin is the only actor who was unable to reprise his role in any capacity, with his voice being provided by Taisei Takaiwa instead, who is best known as the son of long-time suit actor Seiji Takaiwa.[5]
  • Although not seen on-screen, the Hyoutans of the four unnamed Shinobi Riders that were briefly seen in the final episode of Rider Time: Shinobi are inferred to be amongst the ones taken by Amakusa Shiro Tokisada, while their civilian identities continue to be unknown.
  • Kamen Rider ZX is given more variety in his abilities, such as the ability to attach his Focus Bombs to his opponents and use more than two of them at a time, using three in the special. A new variation of his Rider Kick, the Dengeki ZX Kick, is shown in the final team attack, an enhanced version of his regular ZX Kick which is charged with lightning Ninjitsu power.
  • Certain plots elements from the Rider Time special are ignored, presumably due to time constraints given the length of the special. The most notable being that Master Gamano was seemingly harboring sinister motives for mentoring Shinobi as seen in the final episode of said special. However, his manipulative nature is played more for comedy in this special as he tricks Keiwa into helping Rentaro recover his powers.

"Episode 47"[]

This special is considered "Episode 46" of a fictional Kamen Rider Shinobi TV series, with 45 prior episodes having aired from March 2022 to February 2023.[6] The special also teased that Shinobi will conclude in "Episode 47", titled The 47th NinPow! Revive, Icchi! The Last Conjecture! (第47忍POW! 甦れ、イッチー!最後の当てずつポウの巣-, Dai 47 Ninpō! Yomigaere, itchī! Saigo no Ate Zutsu Pō no Su).

In a preview, Amakusa Shiro was revealed to be Rentaro's father.
