Gatack Double Calibur (ガタックダブルカリバー, Gatakku Daburu Karibā) is a twin-sword cutter[1] developed by ZECT as a special weapon for Kamen Rider Gatack Rider Form. Normally, it is mounted on both shoulders in a position that does not interfere with their actions, and can be removed and used depending on the situation. It can be used not only for slashing the enemy, but also for piercing, and is an excellent all-purpose weapon even when used for defense[2].
Design[]
The Gatack Double Calibur is composed of the following parts:
- Plus Calibur (プラスカリバー, Purasu Karibā): A right-handed sword with a golden line drawn on the blade. It collects positive charged particle energy at its cutting edge and shreds everything it touches.
- Minus Calibur (マイナスカリバー, Mainasu Karibā): A left-handed sword with a silver line drawn on the blade. It collects negative charged particle energy at its cutting edge and shreds everything it touches.
- Energy Chamber (エナジーチャンバー, Enajī Chanbā): At the core of Gatack Double Calibur, it is an accumulation furnace of inexhaustible electronic energy sent by the Jaunte.
- Grip Adapter (グリップアダプター, Gurippuadaputā): A grip that fits just right on the Gatack's Rider Palms.
- Calibur Fulcrum (カリバーフルカム, Karibā Furukamu): A joint part that combines two Gatack Double Caliburs into a large scissors shape. The Plus Calibur is a convex portion, and the Minus Calibur is a concave portion.
Functionality[]
The right-handed sword is a Plus Calibur (プラスカリバー, Purasu Karibā), and the left-handed sword is a Minus Calibur (マイナスカリバー, Mainasu Karibā), which both concentrates charged particle energy on the tip of the blade to shred and pierce everything[2]. Both grips are equipped with an Energy Chamber (エナジーチャンバー, Enajī Chanbā) that collects the electronic energy that is inexhaustibly sent by the Jaunte[2].
There is no difference in destructive power between Plus Calibur and Minus Calibur, and they are used in the same way[2]. The outer blade is used when firing a slash, and the entire blade is used when blocking bullets[2]. If Gatack combine the left and right swords with Calibur Fulcrum (カリバーフルカム, Karibā Furukamu) as a joint, it becomes a mechanism that can pinch the enemy in a hinge type, and holds the enemy firmly with three pairs of protrusions on the inner blade like the mandible of a stag beetle[2], executed special move "Rider Cutting".
In Kamen Rider Zi-O, Gatack demonsates the ability to charge the Double Caliburs and launch blades of energy at an opponent.

The Gatack Double Calibur is also among the various Rider Weapons used by Ganbarider in Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbarizing.
Behind the scenes[]
- Three types of props for shooting are produced, for close-up, for action, and for super action, and can actually be attached and removed. For close-up, the left and right parts are actually used together, so the prop in the Double Calibur state has not been produced.[3]
