Plot Summary[]
Battle 1: The Impactful Rider Battle Starts![]
When Raido was younger, he nearly drowned in a river but was saved by Kamen Rider Kuuga, inspiring him to someday become a Kamen Rider. 10 years later, Raido and his friends play the Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride arcade game, but Raido is bad at the game because he doesn't like seeing Kamen Riders fight each other and doesn't understand why. His friends all receive normal Ganbaride cards as rewards from their match but Raido receives a blank card, catching the attention of skilled player Gamu and Ganbaride Research Center Chief Oouchi.
Gamu challenges Raido to a Ganbaride match and beats him, assuming that the machine spitting out a Blank Card must be a mistake. He asks Raido to hand over the card when a masked man appears and summons a real version of Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form to attack the kids. Gamu identifies the man as a Dark Ride and challenges him by summoning a real version of Kamen Rider Kiva Emperor Form. As Raido watches their battle, Oouchi explains that they created Ganbaride cards from researching the creation of digital versions of Kamen Riders, which is charged and made physical through Ganbaride. Dark Rides are evil people who want to use Kamen Riders for evil.
Gamu attacks the Dark Ride but the attack doesn't work, as he's summoned Kamen Rider Zeronos Altair Form to defend himself. Den-O then takes nearby kid Haru hostage. Raido becomes distressed since this isn't what Kamen Riders are supposed to do, and his Blank Card begins shining. Oouchi sees that Raido and his card are synchronizing as Raido's hair spikes up and he summons Kuuga.
The battle turns around greatly. Kuuga saves Haru and releases a Mighty Kick on Den-O and Zeronos, sending them back to their cards. The Dark Ride's mask disappears and Oouchi recognizes him as researcher Takahashi; Takahashi has no memory of what he was doing, leading the group to think he was being controlled. Raido picks up the Dark Ride's black cards, which transform into white cards. The Den-O Card thanks Raido for saving him and looks forward to fighting more Riders and getting stronger. Raido realizes that the purpose of Ganbaride is to help Riders make each other stronger. Gamu takes him to do training.
