Gaku Oshida (押田 岳, Oshida Gaku) is a Japanese actor and dancer who portrayed Geiz Myokoin/Kamen Rider Geiz in Kamen Rider Zi-O.
Biography[]
In November of 2016, Oshida was the winner of the 29th Junon Super Boy Contest and attended the contest alongside contestants Hiroki Iijima and Ryutaro Okada. made his first drama appearance in a live-action adaptation of the manga series Inside Mari. In mid 2018, he was cast as Geiz Myokoin in Kamen Rider Zi-O.
In 2021, Oshida left Ever Green, and joined G-STAR.PRO in 2022.
Personal life[]
- Oshida based his portrayal of Geiz off of Kamen Rider Sasword and Kamen Rider Kaixa, stating he relates more to them than the primary Riders.
- Oshida's favorite Geiz form is GeizRevive Goretsu, as it allowed him to see the amazing stunt work of suit-actor Yuya Nawata, rather than Shippu since the form often uses wirework and CGI.
- Oshida felt honored that fans thought he looked like Satoshi Matsuda,[3] whom he met for the first time during filming for Rider Time: Kamen Rider Ryuki. [4]
- After finishing Zi-O, Oshida obtained a motorcycle license.[5]
