Icon-buildThis article is about a set of collectible devices in Kamen Rider Build.

Fullbottles (フルボトル, Furubotoru) are the sample bottle-like collectible devices used by the Kamen Riders in Kamen Rider Build. The majority of the Fullbottles are in a collection of 60 that are associated with each panel of the Pandora Box, with 20 Fullbottles representing each region of Japan: Touto, Hokuto, and Seito.

Variants of Fullbottles include Sclashjellies, used by the Sclash Driver, Gears, used by the Nebulasteam Gun, and Evolbottles, used by the Evol-Driver.

Overview[]

Pandora Box six panels

Total 60 Fullbottles.

The Fullbottles contain purified Nebula Gas and allow a person with a Hazard Level of 3 or higher to transform into a powerful armored form when used in the Build Driver or Transteam Gun. They may also be used in the Evol-Driver, which the Build Driver was based on.

The Fullbottles were created by the alien entity Evolto based on memories of his host, the astronaut Soichi Isurugi. Evolto did this by asking Soichi questions. He first asked him for 30 things that he liked. Soichi answered with things from Misora's picture book, which was then used to create the Biotic Fullbottles. Evolto then asked Soichi to name 30 things that could destroy each of the ones he had just named. Soichi initially answered with objects such as tanks and guns, but soon started naming random objects to protect the things that Misora loved once he realized Evolto's motives. Pairing a Biotic Fullbottle with the Abiotic Fullbottle representing the item intended to destroy it results in a particularly powerful combination, called a Best Match. Normally using two homogeneous bottles in the Build Driver for a form would be impossible, but if the user had a Hazard Level of at least 7, this restriction can be ignored.

Originally, the sole purpose of the Fullbottles was to allow Evolto to open the Pandora Box, giving him access to his full power so that he could destroy the Earth as he did with Mars. However, the Queen of Mars Vernage, had possessed Isurugi's daughter Misora, removed the essence of the bottles. Evolto trying to open the Pandora Box with the blank Fullbottles resulted in the Sky Wall Tragedy. Years later, with Evolto's help, the bottles were restored by Shinobu Katsuragi. His son, Takumi Katsuragi, studied the Fullbottles and Nebula Gas for Project Build, resulting in the creation of the Build Driver and the Rider System.

At some point, several Fullbottles lost their essence and many of them were scattered over Japan. To quickly collect the Fullbottles again and use them to open the Pandora Box, Evolto wiped Takumi Katsuragi's memory and convinced them that needed to defeat Smash and obtain Fullbottles to protect Touto.

After Build defeats a Smash, an Empty Bottle (エンプティボトル, Enputi Botoru) is used to absorb the Nebula Gas from the victim, causing the Bottle to swell and gain a black spiderweb pattern and a Transgel Solid inside (often colored after the Smash, not the Fullbottle it will become), becoming a Smash Bottle. Through Vernage's power inside of Misora Isurugi's bracelet and a modified microwave machine in nascita's basement made by Sento Kiryu, the harmful properties are purified, leading to the creation of a Fullbottle which can then be used by Build. [That One with the Best Match] Sento's machine isn't needed for the process, but it reduces the side effects that Misora suffers from a full week of unconsciousness to only a few hours of exhaustion. [The Trap of Project Build]

Before undergoing the purification process, the contents of a Smash Bottle can be poured back upon the victim, transforming them back into a Smash. [Dangerous Identity] However, if one uses a Smash Bottle with a lethal amount of unpurified Nebula Gas inside it, they will disintegrate and die. [The Trap of Project Build]

The power of a Rider may also be absorbed to create Fullbottles. Fullbottles made in this way allow Build to take the form of the Rider whose power was absorbed. Also, the Rider whose power was taken will be rendered unable to transform. If the Rider wishes to take their power back, they must shake the Fullbottle(s), releasing the powers and contents and sending it back to them.[1]

Another Build can use Empty Bottles to absorb people and turn them into essence.

Functionality[]

Kamen Rider Build transforms by inserting two Fullbottles into the Build Driver and turning the lever. Biotic-type Fullbottles (有機物系のフルボトル, Yūkibutsu-kei no Furubotoru) is inserted into the right-hand slot, and form Halfbodies that affect the left side of Build's head, his right arm, and his left leg. Abiotic-type Fullbottles (無機物系のフルボトル, Mukibutsu-kei no Furubotoru) are inserted into the left-hand slot, and form Halfbodies that affect the right side of Build's head, his left arm, and his right leg. Any pair of biotic and abiotic Fullbottles can be used to create a Trial Form (トライアルフォーム, Toraiaru Fōmu), but each Fullbottle has a Best Match (ベストマッチ, Besuto Matchi) with another Fullbottle, creating a perfect combination of powers that synergizes well. If they are used together, they create an especially powerful Best Match form.

Each Fullbottle has at least one Best Match with another specific Fullbottle, though individual Fullbottles can have multiple Best Matches depending on which Fullbottle is used.

Kamen Rider Cross-Z uses only the Dragon Fullbottle to transform, by inserting it into an adapter called the Cross-Z Dragon, and inserting it into the Build Driver.

Night Rogue and Blood Stalk use the Bat and Cobra Fullbottles respectively to transform by inserting them into the Transteam Gun.

Fullbottles may be inserted into certain weapons such as the Drill Crusher or Beat Closer to activate special finisher attacks. The Lion Fullbottle is used to turn the Build Phone from phone to bike mode.

Fullbottles can also be utilized to give their users (in civilian form) temporary superhuman abilities by shaking them (example: the Rabbit Fullbottle gives Sento temporary super speed and agility to evade attacks; the Dragon Fullbottle gives Ryuga powerful, fiery punches; etc.). Seemingly, the more a Fullbottle is used by someone without transforming, the more they synchronize with it. [Technology of Destruction]

Design[]

Regular Fullbottle consists of the following parts:

  • Shielding Cap (シールディングキャップ, Shīrudingu Kyappu) - The cap on top of the Fullbottle. It is a protective valve that prevents the Transgel Solid inside the Fullbottle from leaking out. This is also why the label on the cap must be turned to face forward during transformation.
  • Material Absorber (マテリアルアブゾーバー, Materiaru Abuzōbā) - The component on top of the Fullbottle on which the Shielding Cap is located. It is responsible for absorbing Nebula Gas from the Smash and putting it inside the Fullbottle. Additionally, when Build transforms, the Material Absorber is responsible for retrieving and assembling/disassembling Build's equipment.
  • Transgel Solid (トランジェルソリッド, Toranjeru Soriddo) - The liquid inside the Fullbottle. The liquid activates by a stimulus, such as shaking, and when activated, forms Build's suit and armor.
  • Clear Mold Bottle (クリアモールドボトル, Kuria Mōrudo Botoru) - The exterior of the Fullbottle, holding the Transgel Solid within. The Bottle is molded with high strength, lightweight material, and the image cast on it shows the hidden ability inside the Fullbottle.

RabbitTank Sparkling (ラビットタンクスパークリング, Rabitto Tanku Supākuringu): Used by Build to access his upgrade form, RabbitTank Sparkling Form. It was created by combining a Fullbottle of Pandora Box's essence with Rabbit Fullbottle and Tank Fullbottle, which is the most compatible Best Match for it. Other Best Matches were tried, but led to explosive anomalies.

The RabbitTank Sparkling Fullbottle consists of the following parts:

  • Shielding Tab (シールディングタブ, Shīrudingu Tabu): The tab on top of the Fullbottle. When pulled, the transformation system starts, and the RT-SP Connector (RT-SPコネクター, Rabitto Tanku Supākuringu Konekutā) pops out at the bottom of the bottle, which feeds the ingredients inside the bottle into the Build Driver.
  • Material Absorber SP (マテリアルアブゾーバーSP, Materiaru Abuzōbā Supākuringu): A component absorbing device attached to the Bottle. When Build transforms, it retrieves and re/disassembles equipment. Located inside the Build logo-imprinted section of the can above the Sparkling Indicator.
  • Sparkling Indicator (スパークリングインジケーター, Supākuringu Injikētā): The light-emitting component of the bottle that takes the shape of Build's eyes. It shows the state of each component inside the bottle and emits light when the components are activated.
  • Hard Metal Can (ハードメタルカン, Hādo Metaru Kan): The exterior metal plating that makes up the exterior of the can protect the internal components. Inside is an inner tank filled with a foam substance called Best Match Liquid (ベストマッチリキッド, Besuto Matchi Rikiddo), which was developed using the Transgel Solid of the Rabbit and Tank Fullbottles and combining it with residue emitted from the Pandora Box. The Best Match Liquid is added as a material for suit and armor (most likely the white sections of the RabbitTank Sparkling Form) and enhances the performance of equipment.
  • Material Activator (マテリアルアクティベイター, Materiaru Akutibeitā): A vibration amplification device built into the Bottle. When shaking the bottle, the Material Activator amplifies the kinetic energy of the shaking and allows the components inside the RabbitTank Sparkling Fullbottle to activate faster.

FullFull RabbitTank Bottle (フルフルラビットタンクボトル, Furu Furu Rabitto Tanku Botoru): Used by Build in conjunction with the Hazard Trigger to access his super forms, RabbitRabbit Form and TankTank Form. An in-development version was used as a detonator for the Hazard Trigger. [Victory of Tears]

The FullFull Rabbit Tank Bottle consists of the following parts:

  • Selecting Cap (セレクティングキャップ, Serekutingu Kyappu): The gold cap on the bottle. It is a form-selecting device. Twist the selecting cap to the form desired. The Selecting Cap is normally on a neutral green state, but if Build desires, the Selecting Cap can be twisted to reveal either a red rabbit (for RabbitRabbit) or a blue tank (for TankTank). The desired side is displayed on the Revol Indicator.
  • Revol Indicator (リボルインジケーター, Riboru Injikētā): The display panel on the gold side of the bottle. It displays what side of the Selecting Cap is selected.
  • Material Absorber FFRT (マテリアルアブゾーバーFFRT, Materiaru Abuzōbā FFRT): A material absorbing device in the gold section of the bottle. It is responsible for materialising the Fullbottle Buster and armor of RabbitRabbit and TankTank.
  • FullFull Indicator (フルフルインジケーター, Furufuru Injikētā): The display panel on the silver side of the bottle. It is a light-emitting device that shows the state of the FullFull Rabbit Tank Bottle's insides. It will glow red if the insides are ready to transform into RabbitRabbit, and will glow blue if ready for TankTank. It will also emit light during deathblows.
  • Material Activator FFRT (マテリアルアクティベイターFFRT, Materiaru Akutibeitā FFRT): A vibration amplifying device built into the silver section of the bottle. By shaking the bottle, the material inside will activate, allowing Build to activate the components inside each tank simultaneously.
  • Hard Progress Metal (ハードプログレスメタル, Hādo Puroguresu Metaru): The exterior metal parts of the bottle. It is composed of the same components that make up Build's Hazard Form armor and is designed to suppress the intense internal reaction in the bottle. Components from the Rabbit and Tank Fullbottles are filled in the inner tank one by one, forming a universal regulator called Stabiliser Vapor (スタビライザヴェイパー, Sutabiraiza Vu~eipā), which is made due to interference of the same component at room temperature. Furthermore, the Stabilizer Vapor suppresses the side effects of the Progress Vapor (プログレスヴェイパー Puroguresu Veipā) from the Hazard Trigger.
  • Build Up Connector (ビルドアップコネクター, Birudo Appu Konekutā): The hinge and lock system of the FullFull Rabbit Tank Bottle. A hinge connects the two sections of the bottle, which then separates and re-connects in a different configuration via slots on the insides. At the connecting part, interference between the substances from the Rabbit and Tank Fullbottles occur, creating the Stabilizing Vapor. Additionally, a device that maximizes the output of the Hazard Trigger is installed in the Build Up Connector, which, during the time of transformation, shifts Build's armor to a similar state as Hazard Form's Overflow mode.

Dragon Magma Fullbottle (ドラゴンマグマフルボトル, Doragon Maguma Furubotoru): Created from the remains of the Dragon Sclashjelly after being destroyed by Evolto's powers, used by Cross-Z in conjunction with the newly invented Cross-Z Magma Knuckle to transform into Cross-Z Magma. After transformation sequence is completed, the Bottle will be turned into pure orange color.

Genius Fullbottle (ジーニアスフルボトル, Jīniasu Furubotoru): Used by Build to access Genius Form. It is made from a panel of the Pandora Box and contains the essences of all 60 Fullbottles.

The Genius Fullbottle consists of the following parts:

  • Genius Connector (ジーニアスコネクター, Jīniasu Konekutā): The connecting terminal located on top of the Genius Fullbottle, it sends armor and weapon components to the Build Driver.
  • Build Up Starter GN (ビルドアップスターターGN, Birudo Appu Sutātā GN): The button that activates the Genius Fullbottle. The user must have strong feelings that pass a certain threshold for the Build Up Starter GN to activate.
  • Shielding Cap (シールディングキャップ, Shīrudingu Kyappu): The cap of the Genius Fullbottle, it prevents outflow of ingredients at the wrong time. When transforming, the Build Up Starter GN is pushed first, before twisting the Shielding Cap to show the Build Logo at the front so that the Fullbottle's protection valve (located at the Genius Connector) opens. The user then inserts the Genius Fullbottle to the Build Driver to start the transformation.
  • Material Absorber GN (マテリアルアブゾーバーGN, Materiaru Abuzōbā GN): A component absorbing device located in the top silver part of the Genius Fullbottle. During transformation, it releases components necessary for armor and weapons.
  • Full Build Indicator (フルビルドインジケーター, Furu Birudo Injikētā): A light-emitting display in the middle of the Genius Fullbottle, it shows the state of each component. When activating transformation or charging up deathblows, the Full Build Indicator will glow vividly, displaying the Build logo.
  • Material Activator GN (マテリアルアクティベイターGN, Materiaru Akutibeitā GN): A vibration amplifying device located in the bottom silver part on the Genius Fullbottle's base, it quickly activates the internal components via stimulus, and can amplify vibration by 60 times to activate components quicker. Because it is highly sensitive, it can even respond to small vibrations such as loading and removing the bottle from the Build Driver.
  • Metal Pandoram (メタルパンドラム, Metaru Pandoramu): The exterior metal parts that protect the Genius Fullbottle's interior. It has a double structure akin to a chemical drum can and uses high strength frame parts similar to the material that makes up a Pandora Panel. Inside is an internal space compression container, which holds separate containers for all 60 Fullbottle essences, as well as Progress Vapor (from the Hazard Trigger) and Stabilising Vapor (from the FullFull Rabbit Tank Bottle). During transformation, they are sent to a special miniature processing facility called the Plant Ride Builder GN (プラントライドビルダーGN, Puranto Raido Birudā GN), which automatically develops during transformation. All essences stored inside of the Metal Pandoram is used as armor components.

Cross-ZBuild Can (クローズビルド缶, Kurōzu Birudo Kan): Used by Build to access Cross-ZBuild Form, combining his power with Cross-Z's. This Fullbottle resembles the RabbitTank Sparkling Fullbottle but with the design of Cross-Z's Dragon and Build's Rabbit Halfbodies. It is formed from the combination of the Gold Rabbit, Silver Dragon and Genius Fullbottles.

The Cross-ZBuild Can consist of the following parts:

  • Material Absorber CB (マテリアルアブゾーバーCB, Materiaru Abuzōbā CB): Ingredient absorber attached to the Cross-ZBuild Can. When Kamen Rider Build disarms, it has the role of disassembling and recovering the equipment. Also, it can transfer weapons and equipment to Kamen Rider Build when needed.
  • Cross-ZBuild Indicator (クローズビルドインジケーター, Kurōzubirudo Injikētā): A light-emitting device attached to the Cross-ZBuild Can. It shows the state of each component inside the can, and it emits light at the time of transformation or activation of the finisher.
  • Material Activator CB (マテリアルアクティベイターCB, Materiaru Akutibeitā CB): Vibration amplifier built into the Cross-ZBuild Can. The vibration applied to the Cross-ZBuild Can be amplified by 62 times and each component of the internal tank can be rapidly activated. To respond to slight vibrations, the internal components can be fully activated simply by applying normal movement such as taking out a bottle and loading it into the Build Driver.
  • Shielding Tab (シールディングタブ, Shīrudingu tabu): The tab of the Cross-ZBuild Can. By opening the tab, the "Cross-ZBuild Connector" under the can feeds the components into the Build Driver.
  • Metal Pandoram Can (メタルパンドラムカン, Metaru Pandoramu Kan): The exterior of the Cross-ZBuild Can. The components of the 60 Fullbottles, including the Gold Rabbit and Silver Dragon Fullbottles, as well as the luminescent enhancer Best Match Liquid BTO (ベストマッチリキッドBTO, Besuto Matchi Rikiddo BTO) created by Vernage are stored inside. They are then sent to the L & P Snap Ride Builder (L&Pスナップライドビルダー, L & P Sunappu Raido Birudā) to allow transformation.

North Blizzard Fullbottle (ノースブリザードフルボトル, Nōsu Burizādo Furubotoru): Used by Grease in conjunction with the Blizzard Knuckle to transform into Grease Blizzard. Sento created this Fullbottle using data of Grease and the Hokuto Sanbagarasu's Smash forms. It features the symbols of the Robot, Castle, Kuwagata, and Fukurou Fullbottles.

Another Build[]

These unpurified bottles are created by Another Build, through his ability to absorbing people into empty Fullbottles. They physically resemble Smash Bottles but are meant to be combined into a Best Match to power up Another Build.

  • Tennis Bottle: Created when Another Build captured a tennis player in an Empty Bottle. It doesn't form a Best Match with the Karate Bottle. [Kingdom 2068]
  • Karate Bottle: Created when Another Build captured a karateka in an Empty Bottle. It doesn't form a Best Match with the Tennis Bottle. [Kingdom 2068]

When swallowed by Another Build, it showed a symbol resembling a target with an arrow in it on the side of the Driver where Abiotic Fullbottles are located. [Best Match 2017]

Legend Rider[]

These Fullbottles are based on Build's Kamen Rider predecessors.

Unlike Build’s regular Best Match combos, these Legend Rider Best Matches don’t always follow the Biotic + Abiotic formula (i.e. Build’s Decade Form and the unreleased FourzeWizard Form is made from two Abiotic Fullbottles).

These Legend Rider Fullbottles are single Fullbottles based on one of the Legend Riders. Each Fullbottle can be used to Best Match with another Rider Fullbottle to make a special Legend Rider form based on those two Riders.

  • Fourze Fullbottle (フォーゼフルボトル, Fōze Furubotoru): Used solely to access Fourze Form. Also used with the Wizard Fullbottle to access the unreleased FourzeWizard Form.
  • Wizard Fullbottle (ウィザードフルボトル, Uizādo Furubotoru): Used solely to access Wizard Form. Also used with the Fourze Fullbottle to access the unreleased FourzeWizard Form.
  • Gaim Fullbottle (鎧武ガイムフルボトル, Gaimu Furubotoru): Used solely to access Gaim Form. Also used with the Drive Fullbottle to access the unreleased GaimDrive Form.
  • Drive Fullbottle (ドライブフルボトル, Doraibu Furubotoru): Used solely to access Drive Form. Also used with the Gaim Fullbottle to access the unreleased GaimDrive Form.
  • Ghost Fullbottle (ゴーストフルボトル, Gōsuto Furubotoru): Used solely to access Ghost Form. Also used with the Ex-Aid Fullbottle to access the unreleased GhostEx-Aid Form.
  • Ex-Aid Fullbottle (エグゼイドフルボトル, Eguzeido Furubotoru): Used solely to access Ex-Aid Form. Extracted from Emu Hojo. [Kamen Rider Ex-Aid: True Ending] Misora later purified this bottle into the Doctor and Game Fullbottles. [Heisei Generations FINAL] Also used with the Ghost Fullbottle to access the unreleased GhostEx-Aid Form.
    • An alternate version of this Fullbottle features a label with Ex-Aid in Level 1.

These Legend Rider Fullbottles are similar to Build's regular Fullbottles (one biotic & one abiotic); some of these Best Match combos are made from new Fullbottles entirely while others come from previous Best Match combos. When using these Fullbottles, however, Build's form is transformed into that Legend Rider's Main Form, sans their respective Drivers.

Some of these Best Matches already correspond to existing Fullbottles used in the show or released as toys, while others use Fullbottles which have yet to be even revealed. Some unreleased Legend Rider Fullbottles use the different Trial Form sound to the released ones that use the same that was used on the series.[4][5]

Additionally, the DX Evol-Driver contains sounds for various forms of Evol unseen in the show, corresponding to either existing or unreleased Fullbottles.

  • Behind the Scenes[]

    Portrayal[]

The voice of RabbitTank Sparkling/FullFull RabbitTank Bottle was provided by KORBY, who voiced the Build Driver and Build's other equipment, as well as the Cross-Z Dragon, Beat Closer, and Nebulasteam Gun. The voice of the Crocodile Crack Fullbottle was provided by Norio Wakamoto (若本 規夫, Wakamoto Norio), who also voiced the Sclash Driver, Twin Breaker, Cross-Z Magma Knuckle, and Great Cross-Z Dragon in the series. The Genius Fullbottle is voiced by both voice actors. The Muscle Galaxy Fullbottle is voiced by both Norio Wakamoto and Tetsuo Kanao (金尾 哲夫, Kanao Tetsuo), who also voiced Evolto, the Evol-Driver, the Evol-Trigger, and the Killbaspider.

    Notes[]

    • Fittingly, the Gear Fullbottles depict their respective symbol on the top (where the Shielding Cap would be).
    • The Fullbottle's name is a pun on the Japanese word for "shake" (振る, furu).
    • Though the Fullbottles have Best Matches labelled on them already, Sento himself doesn't appear to know which is the Best Match until the Driver tells him. While Ryuga notes the Best Matches follow the Biotic + Abiotic formula, sometimes Build simply doesn't have the corresponding Fullbottle until it is made. Later, however, Sento successfully predicts the Best Match (KaizokuRessya) with a Bottle that had yet to appear (Densya).
    • While all of the Bottles from Touto and Legend Rider Best Matches are all a solid translucent color with a sculpted shape, those from Hokuto and Seito instead are clear and only have color on the sculpted shape.
      • It is revealed in the latter half of the series that all Bottles originally followed the Hokuto/Seito style, but Vernage absorbed the essence of twenty bottles to prevent Evolto from being able to use Pandora's Box. This makes sense, as it explains how Misora can purify the Bottles; she already has their essence, or rather, Vernage does and is simply restoring it.
    Current Fullbottle Tally

A Tally of Fullbottles within each region.

    • The Fullbottles for the GoldScorpion Best Match were originally classified as part of Hokuto's tally of Fullbottles in early toy catalogs. For reasons unknown, this was later cancelled and replaced by RoseCopter, as confirmed in a statement by Bandai.[9] One of the speculations is the bottles themselves will activate error announcements when they slide into the Build Driver.[10]
    • The DX FullFull RabbitTank Bottle works slightly differently from its show counterpart.
      • The show version requires three shakes before the announcement of the essence. DX version requires five instead.
      • The show version announces the Best Match after it's inserted into the Driver. The DX version does so before the insertion.
    • The DX Genius Fullbottle cycles through the ten Touto Best Matches. However for odd reasons, the LED colors for NinninComic and LionCleaner are placed before HawkGatling and FireHedgehog respectively, even though those forms appeared before the former two.
      • Also, the LEDs for LionCleaner and OctopusLight have their colors swapped (LionCleaner has green & yellow instead of yellow & green, and OctopusLight has yellow & pink rather than pink & yellow). Additionally, the LED for OctopusLight has cyan instead of pink for the Genius Attack.
