This article is about a group of henchmen in Kamen Rider Saber. |
The Four Sages (四賢神, Yonkenjin) were the high authority in charge of the Sword of Logos, where they primarily oversaw the organization's policies which were then decided by their consensus. In the past, they were killed by Isaac due to the latter's paranoia of any rebellion against his plans, but were revived by Storious as the four Lords of Wise (ロード・オブ・ワイズ, Rōdo Obu Waizu).
History[]
Background[]
The Four Sages were the four elders of the Sword of Logos, second in authority to Master Logos himself. They were responsible for devising all of the guild's fighting techniques. However, after Isaac became the new Master Logos and decided to betray his duty in order to claim the Almighty Book for himself, he had all of the Four Sages eliminated due to them hindering his agenda to destroy the world just for his amusement.
Lords of Wise[]
Once Storious obtained the Grimoire Alter Ride Book, he visited the Four Sages' secret tombs to reanimate them as the Lords of Wise, his undead soldiers. Storious would call upon the four to confront the swordsmen after they stopped his evil scheme. The Four Sages transformed into the Lords of Wise and battled the swordsmen, easily getting the better of them thanks to their knowledge of all the Sword of Logos' techniques. Unable to defeat the Lords of Wise and severely weakened by Storious's energy ball of mass destruction, the swordsmen were forced to fall back.
The Lords of Wise later appeared on each level of Storious' tower to confront the swordsmen as they stormed it On the first level, Kenzan and Slash stayed behind to battle Spartan. On the second level, Highlander appeared for Blades and Buster to face. On the third level, Durendal and Sabela stayed behind to battle Diago. As Saber and Espada processed to the fourth level, they were confronted by Kuon who stood between them and Storious' chamber.
While Spartan managed to overwhelm Slash, Kenzan defeated him by employing the Calamity Strike with help from Desast's spirit and Mumeiken Kyomu. Buster battled Highlander alone so Blades could go on ahead. Slash shrugged his wounds off to assist Buster and destroyed Highlander, injuring Ogami at the same time. Meanwhile, Blades came across the Shindai siblings battling Diago and attempted to assist them, but the two ordered him to go on ahead. Diago stabbed Reika and shattered Jikokuken Kaiji before delivering multiple stabs to Durendal's chest. While he was doing so, Reika grabbed the remains of their Seikens to destroy Diago. Kenzan arrives to assist Espada against Kuon so Saber could go on ahead. Kenzan and Espada trade Wonder Ride Books to perform a dual Lightning-Wind attack at high-speed to vanquish Kuon.
Legacy[]
A year after the defeat of Storious, the Sword of Logos reformed and abolished the title of Master Logos, now being led by a council comprising Yuri, Sophia, Rintaro, and Ryoga, acting in a similar capacity to the Four Sages.

Notes[]
- The name of the Four Sages is written as "四賢神" rather than the the more typical "四賢人".
- This may be in relation to the naming scheme of the Sword of Logos members, where their surnames would contain the kanji for "God" (神, Kami), or homophones of it. Likewise, Jin is an alternate reading of the same kanji.
- Kuon uses the same suit as the Agastya Base Guards. The other three Lords of Wise use slight retools of those suits, with different shoulders.
- The Asgastya Base Guards' suits were originally retooled from the Battle Raiders from Kamen Rider Zero-One.
