Family! Contract! The Demon Whispers! (家族!契約!悪魔ささやく!, Kazoku! Keiyaku! Akuma Sasayaku!)[1] is the first episode of Kamen Rider Revice.
Synopsis[]
It has been 50 years since the discovery of the Vistamps, mysterious stamps that can separate the inner demon in one's own body by contracting with them! Deadmans, a demon-worshipping organization, appeals to its followers to release the demons in their bodies in an attempt to revive their Master Giff, the mummy found within their ruins... At Fenix, a government agency organized to protect the peace from the Deadmans, researcher George Karizaki begins to develop the Revice System! Despite all this, eldest son Ikki Igarashi is busy working over at his family-owned public bath, Happy Spa! Although he takes care of regular customers, he is being afflicted by a runaway devil that only he can see. It's an important day when his younger brother Daiji gets appointed as the captain of Fenix... however not everything goes as planned when an unexpected event occurs at his brother's graduation! So then now, alongside the devil only you can see...!
Plot[]
50 years ago, archaeologists found an unknown mysterious type of Vistamp at an archaeological dig site in South America, which took control of their minds and unleashed the Deadmen, destroying the dig site. Eventually it found its way into the possession of government organization Fenix in Japan, where researcher George Karizaki recounts the story to fellow member Yujiro Wakabayashi. After a recent attack by the Deadmens at one of their facilities which resulted in the loss of several Vistamps, they had expected a larger assault to follow. To combat them, they unveiled the Revice Driver and its selected candidate, Daiji Igarashi.
In the public bathhouse Happy Spa, eldest son of the Igarashi family, Ikki Igarashi manifests his inner devil for the first time after a giant Deadmans logo appeared in the sky, the same phenomenon having occurred previously during the recent attack on Fenix's research labs. That night during a dinner celebration for Daiji's promotion to captain at Fenix, Ikki encourages everyone to attend Daiji's ceremony the next day, while the devil appears once again, causing Ikki and his mother Yukimi Igarashi to drop a plate of vegetables. That same night, the Deadmans hold a rally at their base where they create Giff Junior in preparation for a large-scale assault. They kidnap wanted convict Tomoyuki Harada and force him to form a contract with the Mammoth Deadman.
At the ceremony, George explains that 30 years ago, his late-father had developed the Vistamps that were now being used for evil. As his son, he wanted to carry on his father's legacy and created the Revice Driver, which was meant to restore peace. The ceremony is interrupted when the Deadmen generals burst in, killing some civilians and cadets while the rest attempt to evacuate. Captain Hiromi Kadota attempts to use the Driver, but it fails and he accidentally forms a contract with the Rex Deadman. When Daiji, the selected candidate, picks the Driver up, Captain Kadota's failed attempt terrified him and he drops the Driver. Ikki's devil awakens from a nap to the chaotic site and convinces Ikki to form a contract with him, much to Ikki's reluctance. With George's instructions, Ikki uses the Driver and successfully transforms with the devil also transformed. In the end, the two Deadmen are defeated with the duo's Stamping Finish Kick.
George applauds and thanks the two, dubbing them Kamen Rider Revice, a combination of their Rider names: Revi and Vice. Much to George's surprise, Ikki returns the driver, refusing to be part of this as he wants nothing more than to protect his family bathhouse. Later, the Igarashi family visit Yukimi at the hospital and are overjoyed to see that she was safe.
