Episode 5 (第五話, Dai Go-wa) is the fifth episode of Kamen Rider Black Sun. It marks Kotaro's debut transformation to Kamen Rider Black Sun.
Synopsis[]
Kotaro remembers Yukari's words about defeating the "Creation King". In his hometown, a facility for experimenting on kaijins remains, and Bilgenia awaits them. Aoi and her mother are taken captive. Kotaro tries to rescue them, but a "Mantis" stands in his way. In the battle, he learns the truth and his hatred for Bilgenia grows, causing the Black Sun to manifest new powers.
Plot[]
Kotaro is visited by Nobuhiko and Shunsuke, the latter who believes Aoi is in danger with Nick. With the location, Kotaro and Nobuhiko set off on their bikes.
The location, which was the village where Kotaro and Nobuhiko had been born, is the same lab Bilgenia has been using to turn humans into Kaijins. As Aoi arrives and reunites with her mother, she realizes that Nick led her into a trap. Nick is knocked unconscious, and Aoi is tied up by Bilgenia and turned into a Kaijin.
Kotaro and Nobuhiko arrive to the sight of the Mantis Kaijin. While Kotaro goes to fight it, Nobuhiko fights Bilgenia. Midway, Kotaro is horrified to discover that Aoi has now become a Kaijin, and returns to outside the lab. Fueled by anger, Kotaro unlocks a new form and transforms into Kamen Rider Black Sun for the first time, determined to kill Bilgenia for turning Aoi into a Kaijin. Before Kotaro is able to finish the job, Bilgenia along with Aoi are taken away by a flying Kaijin.
While Bilgenia attempts to recover from his fight, he forces Aoi to live out the rest of her life as a Kaijin while taking the Kingstone from her. The Kingstone is presented to the Gorgom Party, while Prime Minister Donami reveals that he was in possession of the second one.
Nobuhiko brings Kotaro to his hideout where the new recruits are to work out their plan to fight the Gorgom Party. 50 years ago, Yukari reveals to Kotaro her intent to kill the Creation King, and tells this to Nobuhiko the next morning. Though they initially had disagreed with Yukari, they decide to trust her with their Kingstones. However, Shinichi Donami, who had convinced Komori to untie him, had secretly overheard the plan to kill the Creation King.
