Synopsis[]
Sacred stones are implanted in the bodies of two boys. Decades later, the world is divided. There are those who want to eliminate the "kaijin" and those who want to coexist with them. In the midst of this, there is a man, Kotaro Minami who’s somewhat a recluse. A young activist, Aoi Izumi wants to change the divided world. When Aoi and Kotaro meet, the time which had stopped begins to move again…
Plot[]
Years ago, childhood friends Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki were given implants of Kingstones by their fathers, which turn them into kaijin.
In the present day, 14-year-old activist Aoi Izumi gives a speech at the UN in New York on equal rights for kaijins. In Japan, anti-kaijin protesters mock the kaijin in-disguise amongst kaijin activists, which results in the kaijin being shot and killed by police. Kotaro, who so happened to be nearby, walks off on his own ignoring the protests. That night, he injects himself with ketamine.
In an underground prison, a captive Nobuhiko is given a supply of Heaven, a supplement secreted from the Creation King that is being held underground of the Gorgom Party headquarters. After briefly welcoming Aoi back to Japan, the Prime Minister meets with the Gorgom and sends the Spider Kaijin to find her.
Kotaro currently works as a bounty hunter of sorts and receives a job to kill Aoi Izumi. At home, Aoi goes to visit her friend Shunsuke Komatsu. The next day, Aoi is welcomed back at school due to her successful speech in New York but they are interrupted by anti-kaijin protestors outside the school. After school, Aoi and Shunsuke are attacked by the Spider Kaijin, but they are saved by Kotaro who then discovers that Aoi has a Kingstone on her. The resonance causes him, Nobuhiko, and the three members of the Gorgom to temporarily tap into their Kaijin powers, resulting in Nobuhiko escaping from his prison while Kotaro transforms into his Kaijin form and kills the Spider Kaijin.
He takes Aoi back to his place but finds Nobuhiko in the corner, who wants to recruit Kotaro to fight the Creation King.
