The Door of Darkness (暗黒の扉, Ankoku no Tobira) is a purported "door of darkness" hidden within the Ouroboros Realm. Behind it lies the Dark Kings, dark beings stated to possess the powers from Philosopher's Stone. It also has the ability to transmute everything into gold.
Overview[]
Door of Darkness is hidden inside the giant Ouroboros Snake above the sky in Ouroboros Realm, a valley that is underneath the snake. After completing all the necessary steps, a wooden door with vertical stripes will appear in the middle of Ouroboros. When this door opens, the three-eyed monster Dark King will appear. If no one disturbs the process, the person who summoned the Dark King will use their power to achieve what they want. At the same time, a dark cloud along with red lightning will appear on Earth. Although the entire process was later disrupted by Houtaro and his allies, the Door of Darkness did not disappear and it completely awakened the Dark Kings, allowing them to escape from the door.
When the Dark King landed in the valley from the Door of Darkness, the door was replaced by a lunar phase, and the Ouroboros was surrounded by colorful lightning. The Dark King then gushed out black and gold mist, causing a huge explosion.
Accessing Door of Darkness[]
It has been suggested that opening the door requires three different items:
- All ten Level 10 Ride Chemy Cards/Chemies as the "materials"
- The Dreadriver created by Glion as the "furnace"
- The original Gotchardriver created by Fuga Kudo as the "key"
After Glion has collected the first two items, he will chant a spell while holding up the Dreadriver, by using the power of the Ride Chemy Cards and Dreadriver to extract the liquid from the flasks in the sky, and transmuting them into a huge cauldron, which then sinks to the ground to create a lake. Then a water column will form on the lake's surface and fly to Ouroboros in the sky, allowing the Door of Darkness that was originally hidden to successfully appear.
When the Gotchardriver is also collected, the ten Level 10 Chemy Cards will surround the Gotchardriver, with the latter now playing the role of a key, completely opening the Door of Darkness and giving the Dark King a chance to appear. However, if the Gotchardriver is taken away during the process, the entire process will be interrupted.

Background[]
According to Glion, the Door of Darkness contains a great power that was sealed 120 years ago. It was later proven that the source of this power was the Dark Kings.
Glion's First Attempt[]
At modern times, Glion came to believe that the people and cultures of the world were worthless, so he plotted to use the power of the Dark King lurking behind the Door of Darkness to "build a utopia by turning everything on Earth into gold." After countless attempts, Glion successfully collected all the Ride Chemy Cards and made the Dreadriver that was necessary for accessing the Door of Darkness. He soon arrived at the Ouroboros Realm to make the door visible, and then defeated the Kamen Riders who came to stop him. He collected the final key, the Gotchariver, and successfully opened the Door of Darkness.
A mysterious giant hand dragging Glion
However, under Houtaro's persuasion, the Chemies decided to go against Glion. All of the level 10 Chemies shared their power with Hopper1, forming Crosshopper and returning the Gotchadriver to Houtaro. This action interrupted Glion's ambition, and Houtaro also became Kamen Rider Platina Gotchard with the help of Crosshopper and Tenliner. After Glion was defeated by Platina Gotchard, a mysterious giant hand dragged Glion back to the other side of the door and consumed him.
The Dark Kings Strikes Back[]
However, Glion's ritual caused a slight distortion in the Ouroboros circle, which created a gap large enough for a member of the Dark Kings to exit.
Following Gigist's first defeat by Rainbow Gotchard, it would be revealed that there were two more entities who were behind the door, Germain and Gaelijah.

Kamen Rider Gotchard: The Future Daybreak[]
In an alternate timeline, Glion also successfully opened the Door of Darkness. However, the Dark King appeared from the door, absorbed Glion, and manipulated his mind for the next 20 years. The Dark King also killed Majade with a single blow when the latter close to the door, trying to protect all the Chemies.
