Grimreaper Chameleon (ep 13)

A revived Deadly Chameleon confronts Ken Nomoto, who would become Shocker kaijin Tokageron.

He can turn invisible at will but still casts a shadow. He also bears a tongue that can be used for lashing or strangling. His plan along with Shocker loyalist Dr. Heinrich is to find the treasure map to a hidden Nazi treasure buried in Japan during the WWII Axis Alliance. It turns out the treasure was already seized before Shocker or Hongo found its location. He was destroyed by Kamen Rider 1's Rider Kick and Rider Chop. Grim Reaper, Chameleon

He was later resurrected by Shocker as part of the Revived Monster Army before being destroyed by Lizardlon's special bomb. Tokageron and the Big Monster Army Deadly Chameleon also made a brief return appearance in the monster army of the Kamen Rider vs. Shocker movie but did not actually have an active participation there.

Deadly Chameleon one of several default playable characters that appear in the PlayStation Kamen Rider video game. He is fought by the player in the "Kamen Rider Story" on stage 2. In the "Shocker Story" players are able to upgrade him into Saikyō Kaijin (最強怪人). The player then must defeat Kamen Rider 1 before facing Kamen Rider 2.

Notes

  • Lasting two episodes unlike his predecessors, Deadly Chameleon is the first example in the Kamen Rider Series of what can be more accurately termed monster of the fortnight rather than "monster of the week". This would become especially commonplace in the Heisei era, particularly during the years 2007-2013.
