Daybreak F: Invitation to the Rider (黎明F:ライダーへの招待状, Reimei Efu: Raidā e no Shōtaijō) is the first episode of Kamen Rider Geats.

Synopsis[]

Job-hunting student Keiwa Sakurai fails yet another interview. His older sister Sara treats him to Tanuki soba to encourage him. However, instead of actually encouraging him, she is obsessed with watching the latest livestream of her favorite celebrity influencer, Neon Kurama.

At the same time, a mysterious transparent wall appears and seperates the two siblings. A monster known as the Jyamato appears in the area and attacks Keiwa and other unlucky people trapped inside the area. Keiwa also runs away from Neon, who was streaming in the area. Just what in the world had happened?

Then, Ace Ukiyo appears in front of the two, and approaches the Jyamato...

Plot[]

At a snowy shoreline, a man in a hooded coat is flipping a gold coin when he is approached by a young woman holding a yellow box. She congratulates him, revealing a mysterious black item and a white core inside the box, as he has been selected to be a Kamen Rider. The man, named Ace, says he is already aware he has been chosen.

Six months later, a young man named Keiwa Sakurai is attending a job interview for a major company. His overeager nature and desire for world peace as a motivation makes his potential employer have the impression he is incapable of taking a position in the company seriously and he is not selected to be hired.

At a virtual waiting area, the young woman, named Tsumuri, congratulates the final three contestants of the Desire Grand Prix (including Ace) on their six month long battle and reaching the finals. Whomever wins the last round will be crowned the God of Desire and change the world.

Keiwa calls his sister Sara and tells her the bad news about the job interview, but she tries to cheer him up by offering to take him out to eat for lunch. Keiwa wishes he could just win the lottery so he would have no troubles, but Sara says even if he did win he would give it all away to a cause like helping an animal shelter. He asks her to go eat at a place that serves tanuki soba.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Keiwa and Sara discuss influencer Neon Kurama, who escaped her house yet was caught by her two bodyguards. Upon receiving their soba, they are separated by an red barrier as red clothed monsters attack. The owner is killed and Keiwa is forced to flee without his sister. Meanwhile, Neon's bodyguards attempt to hold off one of the monsters to allow Neon to run, though the bodyguards as well as some nearby civilians are killed.

At the waiting area, Tsumuri alerts the trio that a Jyamar Area has been detected and the mission will start now. The three finalists equip their Desire Drivers...

As both Keiwa and Neon flee from the chaos, they run into each other and are cornered by the monsters. Fortunately, they are saved by a man in a polar bear armor and one in a purple buffalo armor who fight the monsters, with the former getting Keiwa and Neon to safety while the latter only cares about winning and gaining points. Tsumuri is watching the fight but wonders where Ace is.

Ace is in the lounge waiting, with the concierge asking if he is okay just idling about. Ace says he is going to be fine as long as he has his trump card, the Boost Buckle. With a flip of his gold coin, Ace then decides to head out on his Boostriker.

On a rooftop, Keiwa and Neon thank their rescuer. The man, named Takeshi Goutokuji, detransforms and humbly says it was nothing since he was formerly a firefighter so he is used to saving people. The purple Rider, Michinaga Azuma, appears and calls Takeshi a hypocrite since both of them are collecting points for the game. Takeshi rejects that notion, but Michinaga doesn't care and wonders where Ace is. He suspects Ace is trying to steal away his victory by seeking a bigger target. Takeshi thinks taking on "the fortress" would be impossible for Ace, but both are interrupted by an exasperated Keiwa who demands to know what is going on. Michinaga says that the world is going to end, to the youth's shock as a giant monster, the fortress, suddenly appears above their heads.

Takeshi tries to transform to defend everyone but he is crushed into a wall and dies after his Core ID shatters. Michinaga is unfazed by Takeshi's death, even somewhat sadistically amused by it as his elimination raises his own ranking. Keiwa calls Michinaga out for his cold behavior, but the latter takes his leave, abandoning Keiwa and Neon to meet their doom as one of the the fortress' lasers smash the roof that they are on. It partially collapses and Neon falls off the edge, only for Ace to rescue her. Michinaga sees this and doesn't understand why Ace saved her, then turns his attention to the large army of Jyamato, arrogantly proclaiming he will win the game as he transforms offscreen.

Ace checks on Neon to see if she is alright and then tells her to forget about him and the world that they live in. Keiwa races to Neon, worrying about her, which childishly upsets Ace since he thinks the cute girl he saved already has a boyfriend, something both deny immediately and they both have the first impression Ace is full of himself.

Ace put his arms around both of them and says that they can change the world if they keep trying. A depressed Keiwa rejects that notion, having developed a slightly more pessimistic view of the world after all that has happened. Life and the world moves on without them, all one can accomplish is living a happy life but now there isn't even a chance at that as the world ends. Ace reminds Keiwa that Earth was doomed before when the dinosaurs died out, but the planet lived on. He vows to end this world and "start over at life", transforming into Geats to attack the large wave of Jyamato headed for them. After defeating several groups of standard Jyamato, Ace uses his Magnum Shooter 40X in Rifle Mode to snipe off the fortress' tendrils but cannot pierce the creature's thick armor. He then uses the Boost Buckle to race inside the beast and tear it apart from the inside. With the fortress weakened, Ace combines his two Raise Buckles to become BoostMagnum then MagnumBoost form and destroys it with his Grand Victory attack. This nets Geats the victor of the Desire Grand Prix, crowning Ace as the God of Desire, much to Michinaga's fury. Somewhere else, Tsumuri has a conversation with a masked individual about Ace's victory.

As Ace introduces himself as Kamen Rider Geats to Keiwa, the Boost Buckle is then forcefully ejected from his Driver, knocking the latter down. Keiwa asks Ace what is going on, and Ace explains that a game to rewrite the world is being played and he won. The world surrounding them seems to be resetting itself as damaged structures revert back to their normal state and an ominous bell chimes. Keiwa wakes up in his room as the new world dawns, believing he had some kind of a nightmare, though he doesn't remember what the dream was.

He visits the Soba restaurant, with the owner alive and well, though Keiwa for some reason is concerned about him. Keiwa initially shrugs it off as his bad dream until Tsumuri appears with a Desire Driver and a green Core ID for him. Tsumuri previously had given Neon and multiple random people their own, including Michinaga who seems to have forgotten about Tsumuri. Upon touching the ID, Keiwa's memories of the old world are restored. Meanwhile, Ace stands observing the city skyline and flips his coin:

"Welcome... to my world."
