History

In 1996, Hentona alongside fellow Okinawa Actors School students Miyara, Tamaki, and Okumoto formed the group in 1996, and officially made their debut in 1997 with their first single Feelin' Good - It's Paradise, followed by their breakthrough song Rhapsody in Blue. Their songs often have quick tempo movements and include elements of rap.

In 2005, Miyara left the group following a DUI arrest. In 2008, Tamaki left the group. In 2009, seven new members joined while Okumoto left. As of today Hentona is the only one from the original four still active.

The group had continued to release singles until 2006 when they went on hiatus. They would only release two singles within the next five years until they announced their official comeback in 2018, starting with their single U.S.A., which became a commercial hit. In 2019, they released a new single titled Sakura, followed by P. A. R. T. Y. ~Universe Festival~ for Kamen Rider Zi-O: Over Quartzer.
