History[]
Background[]
Clotho is the second daughter of the Three Dark Sisters, a mysterious group who misuse alchemy. She aims to retrieve the Gotchardriver.
Ten years ago, Clotho along with Atropos and Lachesis attacked the Union of Alchemists to obtain the Chemies, having a difficult fight with the members of the Union, the trio retreats after Glion and recovers after that.
Encountering Gotchard[]
When Fuga entrusted the Gotchardriver to Houtaro, the Three Dark Sisters appeared to take the driver and the Chemy Cards, forcing Fuga to release the 101 Chemies into the human world. Clotho then went after Houtaro who had the Gotchardriver and even caught Kamantis and transformed into the Mantis Malgam, but was defeated by Gotchard Steamhopper.
The Dark Destroyer[]
After the creation of the Dreadriver, she held Sabimaru from behind so that Atropos could control his body so he could become Kamen rider Dread. Later Clotho uses the Dreadriver to get the Gotchardriver, but he lost, even though Houtaro didn't want to kill her, she wanted to get his driver
Glion's Return & Lachesis' Betrayal[]
After Glion returns from recovery, Clotho shows that he respects his "Father" well and even gets a new outfit from him. What Clotho didn't expect was that Lachesis would leave her and Atropos, but Clotho doesn't understand why she left her and Atropos and tries to do everything to bring her back
Gigist's Arrival & Legend's Return[]
After Glion's supposed death, Clotho confronts Houtaro again, but the two are left in a strange place, where there, they temporarily ally to finish off Captain Kasshine, But after they return, Gigist suddenly arrives and gives Clotho part of his body, so she achieves the Rebis form, where she becomes stronger, more with a certain thirst for battle, even so, she refused to hurt Lachesis, even though she betrayed her.
The New Dark Kings & Losing Her Family[]
After Germain gives Her more power, she becomes crazier, even to the point of hurting Lachesis in a fight, due to this suffering, Gaelijah nullified Gigist's power within Her. Clotho even stayed with Gaelijah, Clotho even asked the revived Glion to forgive Lachesis' betrayal, until Gaelijah herself said she was going to use Atropos and Rinne to create a chimera to destroy the world. While Clotho wasn't present at the battlefield, she immediately sensed Atropos passing at the hand of Gaelijah and slumped onto the ground, murmuring that she's too late.
Clotho manages to reunite with Lachesis and Supana, informing her of Atropos' death and even says that she wanted Lachesis back so they could be a family again, but then Gigist appeared at their location. Clotho turns into Dread Type Two, but Gigist defeats her and sends her far away through the portal. Clotho returns by foot to the battlefield, only to witness Lachesis' demise at the hand of Glion. Mortified by the fact that now she's all alone, a morose and heartbroken Clotho left the place.
Final Battle and Death[]
After entering the giant golden cube, she tells Glion that while she initially blinded herself with power, but she finally found her own wish, which is to stay as a family with Atropos and Lachesis. And since Glion robbed her sisters away from her, Clotho declared that she'll end him with her own hand. Clotho's rage and sorrow allows her to transform into Dread Type Three. However, her body soon reaches its limit as she can't damage an untransformed Glion the slightest. Even after she used ten Level 10 Repli-Chemy cards in a desperate attack, Glion critically damaged her with ease.

Houtaro later arrived inside the Giant Golden Cube, only to see Clotho fall down after losing. Now in her former nemesis arms, Clotho confides that had it not because of him, she would never be able to speak about her wishes. She then berates Houtaro one last time to not lose against Glion and to make his desire comes true. Clotho finally dies after witnessing Atropos' and Lachesis' spirits about to take her with them, with Atropos commending that Clotho had worked hard. Ultimately, Houtaro avenged Clotho's and her sisters' demise as Ultima Gotchard by defeating Glion as Kamen Rider Eld.

Personality[]
Clotho acts like a brute and bully towards others and is violent and quick to anger as she hesitates at nothing to destroy any enemy in her sight. She also likes looking forward to the thrill of fighting as seen when she swore to defeat Houtaro the next time they cross paths after the young man defeated her.
Unlike Lachesis who chooses Malgam hosts based on unresolved negative feelings, Clotho prefers choosing hosts based on the crimes they already committed, believing that the more severe the better the malice and the destructiveness of the Malgam.
When her younger sister Lachesis was possessed by the power of their master, Glion, she showed concern for her and was quick to retrieve her after she was defeated, showing she is capable of caring for her sister. This affection of her also shown when Atropos caught Lachesis red-handed after the latter voiced her desire to escape Glion together with Minato. This makes Clotho hesitant in fighting Lachesis, even persuading her younger sister to return to her side several times before taking further action. This is due to the fact that she clearly doesn't want to hurt her younger sister, even when she has betrayed her and is now on Minato's side.
Even after Clotho received a new power from the Dark King Gigist, she remains hesitant to attack her sister, despite having attacked her before as Valvarad. Due to her not controlling her new power, she tried to force Lachesis to return to her and Atropos in force, but was prevented by Kamen Rider Majade, but Clotho will only get worse when she gains another new power from the Dark King Germain. She becomes so "soulless" that she started to be aggressive, attacking her sister Lachesis due to feeling a giant desire to fight due to this new power.
Clotho returns to normal and gets rid of the Rebis power thanks to Gaelijah, so much so that Clotho works with her. Even after Lachesis betrayed her and Atropos, she thought they could be a family again and even asked Glion to forgive her, but everything changes with the death of Atropos, where Clotho was a little sad about this, as she wanted Lachesis to return to the "family", but she was even more sad and shocked, after Glion killed Lachesis and left the place.
She changes after that, as she was previously blinded by power, but now became determined to avenge her family by ending Glion, despite having failed, but now she fought for two deceased sisters, even though she ultimately lost and disintegrated in the process.

- Superhuman Strength: Clotho acts as the muscle of her siblings and can smash solid rock with her bare hands and powerful kicks or send opponents flying with her strikes. Her strength increases significantly upon receiving her Rebis form, which is shown by Clotho easily creating explosions with just her kicks.
- Mixtus Transformation: After Glion bestows part of his powers to Clotho, she can transmutes herself with two Chemies with different attributes into a stronger Mixtus form, which the technique level has become on par with the transmutation of a Kamen Rider.
Abilities[]
- Skilled Hand-to-Hand Combat: Even without transmuting into a Malgam or using alchemy, Clotho is very skilled at bare handed combat. This is proven when Clotho single-handedly defeated Minato, the current Instructor of Alchemist Academy without breaking a sweat and she can fight par against Gotchard Steamhopper and Majade Sununicorn at a certain degree in her human form.
Former Weaknesses[]
- Unstable Will (Rebis): Despite her evolved power as Clotho Rebis grants her even more strength compared to where she was before as Dread Type Three without any body strain, it also causes her to slowly lose control of her will and not being able to suppress her growing desires to fight, which will force her to transform into Clotho Rebis to fulfill her bloodlust, while attacking anyone in her sight. This issue continues to worsen each time the Dark Kings forcefully give her more power. After Gaelijah nulified the power from Gigist and Germain on her body, caused her reverted to original form, Clotho no longer suffers from this issue.
- Transformation Strain (Dread): While Clotho possesses tremendous strength and is able to utilize the Dreadriver quite easily because of it, there's still a limitation to how much strain she can take while being transformed as Dread. While this weakness was first shown due to her over usage of the Dreadriver's Drain function, it was further exploited when she transformed into Type Three for the first time against Kamen Rider Valvarad. Unlike Glion, Clotho isn't strong enough to withstand the overall strain brought by Type Three, indicated by several red sparks flashing and stunning her. Because of this, she wasn't able to utilize the form to its full potential and was easily defeated by Valvarad instead. This is later explained by Atropos once the homunculus nature of the Three Dark Sisters was revealed, mentioning that Clotho's specs are not enough to handle Type Three. After that defeat, her issue with Type Three continued to worsen to the point where just attempting to access said form would cause the same red sparks that stunned her before and even causes her to lose strength, eventually making her unable to fight properly. However, during her final battle against Glion, Clotho's rage and sorrow for losing both Atropos & Lachesis enabled her to access Dread Type Three.

- Closing the Nekhbetvoke, Dread uses the Bloody DO to channel flame energy that she's uses to mallet the enemy, later sending a flaming slash projectile. She then continues to hit the incoming enemies with the weapon and throws the club as a fiery boomerang to finish off the opponents.
- Closing and opening the Nekhbetvoke, Dread starts by jumping and performing an upward kick with the Dante Depature covered in flames. She then does a flying side kick with a red energy replica of the Oniselk forearm armor on the Dante Depature.

Type Three (参式, Sanshiki) is Kamen Rider Dread's super form accessed by using the Repli-Steamliner, Repli-Unicon, and Repli-Daiohni Repli Chemy Card in the Dreadriver.
Compared to Dread's previous forms, Type Three's stats are raised by a significant margin, making her even more powerful than Fire Gotchard Daybreak Steamhopper. Though she still loses to Iron Gotchard and Wind in some stats, as well as Platina Gotchard in every stat.
Besides being able to use both unicorn and oni-like abilities from Type One and Type Two, Dread can also utilize both the Bloody UC and Bloody DO for a dual-wielding fight style.
However, unlike Glion, Clotho isn't strong enough to withstand the overall strain brought by Type Three, which is indicated by several red sparks flashing and stunning her in the process, as shown during her battle utilizing this form against Kamen Rider Valvarad.
Because of this, she wasn't able to utilize the form to its full potential and was easily defeated by Valvarad instead. Clotho is able to transform into Clotho Rebis (クロトーレビス, Kurotō Rebisu) after Gigist granted her a portion of his power, enhancing her body with jet-black and purple armor and tremendous strength, making her stats in this form on par with Kamen Rider Dread Type Three. After receiving additional power from Germain, Clotho's hair would get longer and be dyed the same purple color as her armor.

- Abilities
- Enhanced Skill Hand-to-hand Combat: In this form, Clotho does not use any weapons like her previous forms, completely fighting only using punches and kicks instead. This form's power is strong enough to overwhelm Kamen Rider Majade Mooncerberus and Kamen Rider Valvarad's default form. After receiving additional power from Germain, her powers are now strong enough to even crush Fuga Kudo's body double in one hit and overwhelm his real body as Kamen Rider Wind, despite the latter not being fully recovered.

Clotho is portrayed by Kanon Miyahara (宮原 華音, Miyahara Kanon), who previously portrayed Nozomi Takai in Kamen Rider Amazons. As Kamen Rider Dread, her suit actor is Yuya Nawata (縄田 雄哉, Nawata Yūya).[13]

Clotho is a name of the youngest sister of Moirai from Greek mythology.

- In the Gotchard Short Anime, her name is alternatively spelt as Krotho.
- Mantis Malgam was designed by Takato Yamashita (山下 貴斗, Yamashita Takato).[14]
- Clotho's costume was designed to showcase her action sequences, leading director Ryuta Tasaki to request suit designers to incorporate a stomach window. The arm guards were also created as a homage to Kamen Rider Amazons.[15] The exposed stomach design was lampshaded in an audiodrama featuring the Three Dark Sisters.
- After being strengthened by Glion in the story, Clotho received an new outfit featuring a covered stomach and thicker clothing. This new outfit was based on one of Clotho's early concept sketches and was likely implemented to accommodate winter filming conditions. Clotho would later return in her original outfit in the final quarter of Gotchard which was filmed around the summer period.[16]
