Chapter 26: Deep Darkness, With a Sword. (深き闇、剣と共に。, Fukaki Yami, Ken to Tomoni.) is the twenty-sixth episode of Kamen Rider Saber. It features Kento's first on-screen transformation as Kamen Rider Calibur and the sealing of Onjuuken Suzune.

Synopsis[]

Calibur's identity turned out to be Kento, who should have died. Despite this revelation however, Kento suddenly leaves telling them he will seal all the Seikens to save the world from destruction. Believing that they can fight together again, Touma and his friends try to engage Primitive Dragon who has caused Touma to go berserk more than once. Meanwhile, Ren is glad to hear that Kento has resurrected, but is told by Reika that he is an enemy of the guild. So just what happened to Kento? This is the beginning of the battle over the Almighty Book, Yuri tells them, being the first owner and keeper of the power of the Sword of Shadows. Yuri confronts Kento alone, but it eventually drags him into a battle against him. Just then, he starts to make his move.

Plot[]

Mei arrives at the Northern Base, and like everyone else in the room, she is shocked to see that the new Calibur is Kento. Kento proclaims that he will seal all Seiken. Sabela attacks Kento, but he dodges her blade, before Saikou intervenes. Running out of options, she turns into smoke and retreats with Rintaro. Kento also disappears shortly after. When things settle down, the Northern swordsmen discuss the reappearance of Kento and his goal. Yuri tells them the story of a woman in the past who could connect Earth to the Wonder World. It was also at that same time five humans accompanied her to Wonder World. One of them formed the Sword of Logos to protect the human world, while another became the protector of the Wonder World. The other three were corrupted by power and turned into Megid generals through absorbing a portion of the Almighty Book‘s power, hence the beginning of the War of Wonder World. In the conflict, Ankokuken Kurayami was created as a fail-safe in case the sword of light was to be misused, with the ability to seal all Seikens. At the Megid hideout, Legiel pulls out the Legiel Alter Ride Book from his body.

At the Southern Base, Ren asks Reika if Kento is truly alive, but she tells him to shut up and leaves. In the throne room, Tassel, whose former name was Victor, comes to see the current Master Logos. Tassel says that he and the previous Master Logos have sworn to protect both worlds. However, the young leader of Sword of Logos rejects that idea and reveals that his wish is to obtain the Almighty Book to destroy this word, which he thinks is dreadful, and to create a new world with him as the ruler. As Tassel criticizes his way of thinking, Master Logos laughs manically and claims he will exploit everyone, swordsmen and Megid alike, to fulfill his desire. He draws out a book and shoot a beam at Tassel, which seemingly makes him disintegrated.

Yuri finds the location of Kento and they confront each other. As Yuri refuses to be sealed, Kento claims that their ideas are at odds. They both transform and their blades clash. Sabela appears and joins the fight, turning it into a three-way duel. Although Sabela manages to use her smokescreen to hinder Saikou's light and knocks his sword out of his hand, Saikou switches to X Sword Man Powerful, grabs the sword and continues the battle. Touma, Mei, Ryo, and Tetsuo arrive at the scene. As Buster and Slash engage Sabela, Calibur uses an attack to incapacitate Sabela, following with a wide area slash that knocks both Buster and Slash out of transformation, although Saikou manages to shield himself, Touma and Mei from that attack. As Touma demands an answer from Kento, he de-transforms. The former lightning swordsman tells Touma that he has seen the future. Although Slash rejects that and says Kento was seeing things from the darkness, Touma says he believes him, and asks Kento about the future he saw. As Touma tries to convince him, Kento recites what Touma is going to say and predicts that he is going to go berserk, because he has experienced this scene already. Kento recalls the countless nightmarish futures he witnessed. In all those futures, no matter what they do or if they defeat the Megid, the result will all be the same. In the end, the Seikens will always glow and combine with the 19 Wonder Ride Books to form the Almighty Book, which will destroy the world.

Kento transforms again and easily defeats Buster and Slash. He then proceeded to seal Onjuuken Suzune, before coming to get Ryo's sword. A mentally devastated Touma intervenes by transforming into Dragonic Knight, but Primitive Dragon Wonder Ride Book quickly turns him into his berserk form. Kento then disappears, while Sabela grabs the Hanselnuts to Gretel Wonder Ride Book and leaves the scene. In his vision, Touma sees the boy approaching him. He asks if Touma is sad as well and gives him a hand, but Touma is too sad to respond, so the boy leaves. Touma de-transforms and Mei rushes to see if he is okay. Tetsuo cries for his sword, while everyone else is left speechless.
