This article is about an organization in Kamen Rider Revice. |
Weekend (ウィークエンド, Wīkuendo) was an underground resistance group that was founded to oppose Fenix due to the latter being under the control of Hideo Akaishi. After the destruction of Giff, the organization was disbanded.
History[]
Masumi Karizaki was a former researcher for NOAH who had studied Giff. After the organization collapsed, Giff was stolen by a splinter group led by Hideo Akaishi, who later began calling themselves the Deadmans. With Akaishi then taking the position as Fenix's new director, Masumi founded Weekend and worked to oppose the revival of Fenix out of guilt and regret from his past actions.
Through the organization's seven years of existence, Masumi closely observed Fenix and recruited the Ushijima family to watch over the Igarashi family, the family of the man whose life he ruined, Junpei Shiranami.
Spying on the Igarashi Family[]
Because Weekend did not have the power to fight demons themselves, they sought the aid of the Igarashi siblings, who possessed Giff's genetic information due to being the children of Genta Igarashi. Daiji and Ikki were recruited by Fenix before Weekend, so they set their sights on Sakura instead.
When the Igarashi family goes on a family trip to an onsen to celebrate Yukimi Igarashi being released from the hospital, the Ushijima family stayed at the same hotel as them. When the Igarashi siblings talked about their plans for the surprise celebration the next day, the Ushijimas listened in on their conversation via a device planted underneath the table. They were later present at dinner when Aguilera attempted to poison Ikki. When the Deadmans interrupted the celebration the following day and Kagero revealed that he had taken control of Daiji, the Ushijimas observed the events through a window of the hotel.
Creating Jeanne[]
At some point, Weekend retrieved the discarded design of the Libera Driver and completed it. They then sent it along with the Cobra Vistamp to Sakura in an unmarked package. After getting into an argument with her brothers and mother due to wanting to get involved in the fight with the Deadmans, Sakura takes the Driver and leaves home. Hikaru finds her, and she stayed at the Ushijima's house. After initially failing, Sakura confronted her own weakness and successfully transformed into Kamen Rider Jeanne before returning home.
Further Observations[]
Following the destruction of the Deadmans Base, Hikaru asked Sakura to meet with him at his house. He spoke to her through the outside intercom and tells her that the door is open, but she finds the house empty. Inside, Sakura discovered a long staircase leading underground. She began to go down, but stops and leaves.
When Go Tamaki came to Sakura's dojo and asked her to meet with Aguilera, Hikaru overheard their conversation. As a result, he went to Aguilera's hideout as well and secretly observed the subsequent fight between her and Sakura.
Recruiting Jeanne[]
After Orteca was captured by Fenix, Hikaru approached Sakura at the dojo and asked her to have dinner with his family. When she entered the house, Sakura was attacked by a group of masked people. She fights them off before descending the staircase that she discovered before. At the bottom, she discovered a headquarters and was greeted by the Ushijima family. Tasuke remarked that she has passed their first test and the attackers unmasked themselves. The family introduced her to their organization and revealed that they had sent her the Libera Driver. Tasuke says that Fenix continued researching Giff despite his dangerous nature, and asserts that Giff should instead be eliminated. He continues to state that Weekend has been observing Fenix for a long time and were now ready to battle them. Weekend asks Sakura to join them, and Tasuke told her that reclaiming the Giff Stamp from Aguilera was her final test.
Sakura defeated Aguilera and took the Giff Stamp from her. However, when Sakura and Ikki had a conversation regarding their doubts about Fenix, Vice revealed that the Giff Stamp that she recovered is a fake, as the real one was still in Orteca's possession.
Creating Jack Revice[]
After destroying the Shark and Elephant Deadmen while protecting a comedy duo, Ikki was visited by a Weekend operative disguised as a member of Fenix. The man gave Ikki the Rolling Vistamp and said that it was sent by George. When Revi used the Vistamp in their next battle, it fused him and Vice into a single Rider, with Vice in sole control. After destroying the Deadmen once again, Vice canceled his transformation. He was left in his physical form alone, with Ikki being in an immaterial form attached to him. As a result, Ikki was unable to communicate with anyone else. When Orteca and Aguilera launched an attack after forming an alliance, Daiji and Sakura go to meet them. Sakura is secretly followed by Hikaru, who is in turn observed by George.
After the Shark and Elephant Deadmen have been defeated for the final time, Sakura confronted the Ushijima family in Weekend's base over them giving Ikki the Rolling Vistamp. Tasuke introduced her to Weekend's leader, who identified himself as Masumi Karizaki.
Battling The Devils[]
Following Orteca's apparent demise, Weekend began to set their sights on Hideo Akaishi, whom they suspected was related to Giff. However, they were also preoccupied on dealing with Aguilera, who targeted Sakura.
After Sakura defeated Aguilera; now Hana Natsuki and got her to join Weekend, they would become entirely focused on stopping Akaishi from introducing Giff to the public. However, their attempt failed and they were forced to publicly reveal themselves as an opposition to Akaishi in a bid to stop the people from being subservient to Giff.
They would later work together with Ikki to save Akemi, but Akaishi managed to stop them from doing so. However, this did not deter them as Ikki and Vice gained the power of Ultimate Revice, making them a valuable asset in fighting Giff. They would also begin rallying the people to fight against Giff, but Daiji, working for Akaishi, vehemently opposed them. This caused Weekend to mark him as an enemy, much to the dismay of Ikki and Sakura. While George and Hiromi. who detected from Fenix, officially providing Weekend combat support by George creating a mass-produced Demons Trooper team lead by Hiromi.
Their fight against Giff would take to a new level when Vail and Akaishi began to directly attack Weekend's shelters. In the fierce battle, Kimiko was sacrificed as the shelter she protected was being assaulted by a groups of Giff Juniors and Hell Giffterians, forcing Hikaru to retreat in order to protect the civilians. Later, in another assault of True Gifftarians and Giff Juniors, Tasuke sacrificed himself to protect Hikaru to take the final blow from Akaishi.
After regaining Kagero and realizing his errors, Daiji would fully ally himself with Weekend and fight Giff together with his siblings and the others in their final stand. Unfortunately, Masumi had passed away during the conflict, leading to Hiromi to take up the leadership until Giff's ultimate demise.
Aftermath[]
Following Giff's destruction, Weekend decided to disband as the threat was finally resolved and their members go on to live their personal lives. However, while they were packing up Masumi's belongings in the midst the conflict against George as Juuga, they discovered that the HQ, along with the rest of the Ushijima family house, was once the house of the Karizakis.
