The Deadmans (デッドマンズ, Deddomanzu) are a demon worshipping cult seeking to revive the demon Giff by finding suitable sacrifices. To do this, the Deadmans provide people with Vistamps to materialize their inner demons as Deadmen. After the successful revival of Giff and the loss of most of its major members, the organization became effectively defunct.
History[]
Origins[]
The Deadmans were founded by Hideo Akaishi and other former members of NOAH, who had stolen Giff's coffin and began worshipping the artifact as a deity. In order to reawaken the demon, the cult began grooming a young Hana Natsuki to become his untainted bridal sacrifice, giving her the name "Aguilera". The Deadmans sought out five "Gifftex" capable of becoming a Phase 3 Deadman for their ritual.
Makoto Hatsushiba would be personally selected by Akaishi to create a new world by resurrecting Giff and was renamed "Orteca". He would be followed by Go Tamaki, being encouraged to regain his own smile as "Julio".
The Deadmans Crisis[]
Days before the public unveiling of the Revice Driver, Orteca raided Fenix's research facility and stolen several Proto Vistamps. The Deadmans would distribute these Vistamps to select individuals who could summon their inner demons in the form of Deadmen. The Deadmans made their public appearance during the Fenix inauguration with an army of Giff Juniors and Deadmen attacking the guests present. This led Fenix to deploy the Revice Driver and would find a suitable user in the form of Ikki Igarashi to become a Kamen Rider. Around the same time, the Chameleon Deadman would kill and impersonate Fenix commander Yujiro Wakabayashi to infiltrate the organization.
Taking notice of Kamen Rider Revice's actions, the Deadmans executives began monitoring the Igarashi family to find their weaknesses. At the same time, they would join forces with Daiji Igarashi's inner demon, Kagero, who gained control of his host's body as Kamen Rider Evil. They would cooperate to implode the Igarashis during their happiest moments, such as infiltrating and ruining their ryokan vacation. While the Deadmans had an amicable relationship with Kagero, he was ultimately defeated by Revice and Daiji himself regained control of his body.
As the Chameleon Deadman was close to evolving into a Gifftex, the Deadmans found two other Gifftex candidates in Amahiko Haitani and Yasushi Kudo. The three stood before Giff and were approved as Gifftex. After the Chameleon Deadman stole the Giff Stamp from Fenix, Aguilera was prepped for her wedding to Giff. However, Olteca suddenly led the three new Gifftex to restrain Aguilera, much to her and Julio's surprise. He explains that the energies of the five Gifftex will assist in resurrecting Giff, while Aguilera will serve as an untainted vessel.
The five Gifftex transformed into their Deadman forms and Aguilera was at the center. However, the ritual is interrupted by interrupted by Fenix, who had located the Deadmans Base through a tracker on the Giff Stamp. In the ensuing confrontation, Haitani and Kudo were defeated by the Igarashi siblings but were absorbed into Giff. As the Deadmans Base sprouted tentacles and began attacking the city, Revi and Vice join together to destroy the base and rescue Aguilera and Julio to safety. Unfortunately, Orteca and the Chameleon Deadman would escape. Aguilera would transform into the Queen Bee Deadman and withdrew with Julio.
Fractured Activities[]
With the Deadmans in disarray following the base's destruction, Orteca assumes leadership of the Deadmans and has the Giff Stamp in his possession. Fenix would also have Giff's coffin under their custody. Following the Chameleon Deadman's defeat, Orteca gathered the remaining cultists and selected volunteers to manifest Gifftarians. Aguilera and Julio however remained in hiding due to Orteca's betrayal. Fenix's workload was no lesser than before as all efforts were prioritized to apprehend Orteca.
In order to turn the tides in his favor, Orteca decides to target Hiromi Kadota for the Demons Driver. He would also recruit Chigusa Yamagiri into his ranks to get close to him. Although Orteca was later seperated from his inner demon and was apprehended by Fenix, this was all in purpose to reach Hideo Akaishi. During a supposed integration, Orteca handed Akaishi the Giff Stamp and recieves the Demons Driver in return. This allowed him the power to become the second Kamen Rider Demons and becoming a more formidable foe against the Igarashi siblings.
Aguilera would eventually reach out to Orteca and rejoin the Deadmans to reawaken Giff together. However, since the latter is in control, there is virtually no authority for Aguilera. Orteca would proceed to turn more of the Deadmans members into Gifftarians, much to Aguilera's displeasure. With Giff being close to resurrecting, Orteca continued creating sacrificing humans. Aguilera herself was rejected by Giff who escaped from Fenix, Orteca is also absorbed into Giff after being defeated by Kamen Rider Revice.
Following the death of Orteca, as well as Aguilera and Julio returning to their human lives, the Deadmans became effectively disbanded and its leadership dissolved. The founder, Hideo Akaishi, nevertheless continued to operate as Giff's direct subordinate to prepare humanity for the demon's arrival.

Notes[]
- The attire and names of the Deadmans generals are influenced on Mexican culture. The "Gracias" in their catchphrase means "Thank you" in Spanish, the country's predominant language.
- In Mexico, there is a traditional event called Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos), a holiday which is commonly portrayed as a celebration and remembrance of the deceased rather than mourning.
