Plot[]
Continuing from the previous episode, both Nem in the Dream World and Minami in the Real World try to wake Baku up after being previously administered a fatal dose of poison due to Poison Nightmare’s attack. As Minami performs a CPR massage, Nem glances at Baku's Breakam Zeztzer Gun Mode on the ground and use the Esprim Recovery Capsem with it to kickstart the agent's heart. Whilst Poison Nightmare is about to interfere, The mysterious man abruptly stops the monster from doing so. Fortunately, the Recovery Capsem does its job and successfully resuscitates Baku in the dream world, which allows Baku in real world to survive as well. Knowing this, Both The mysterious man and Poison Nightmare exit the dreamscape.
As Baku quickly checks on Nem's condition, they soon notice that Chef Rentaro Sannoh is still in agony even after the poison inside him is neutralized. Despite his pain, Chef Sannoh refuses to rest and leave Royale Shirogane unattended, as he views the Restaurant as their very own soul. Baku and Nem then brought Chef Sannoh back to Royale Shirogane and proceed to cure both Chef Shiomi and Chef Satoh from their poisoning. Meanwhile, The mysterious man checks his book in his base and finds the Green Symbol on said book (most likely referring to the Esprim Recovery Capsem). He then declares that he has found what he seeks at last.
The next morning, Baku wakes up in a hospital bed and finds Minami sleeping near him. While Minami scolds Baku for causing her such panic, she confirmed that Baku might have experienced a cardiac arrest due to his desire to help people. As Minami briefly leaves, Tetsuya suddenly appears on Baku's hospital window, much to the latter bewilderment. Nevertheless, both Tetsuya explains that Chef Sannoh actually had a pre-existing illness before the Black Cases, and is scheduled for surgery on the day of the conference. As a result, the involvement of Royale Shirogane for the conference is apparently scrapped, as Tetsuya believes Chef Sannoh didn't want to cook for them in the first place. This info however, contradicted what Baku had heard from Chef ‘s Sannoh’s dream, and thus, he decided to investigate this matter in private.
To that end, Baku tries to climb down the Hospital wall chute. But he loses his grip and falls down right next to the Chef Sannoh ward. There, he eavesdrops on Chef Shiomi and Satoh discussing about the matter of the surgery. Chef Shiomi suspects that Chef Sannoh probably wants the Royale Shirogane legacy to end with him, resulting in him bitterly looking down on Chef Sannoh as a result, as they thought that all of their training and hardships under him become pointless in the end. Chef Shiomi then declared that he won't let the legacy end as both chefs leave the ward, giving Baku some insight after all the intel he gathered.
Baku then lucid dreams his way into CODE HQ, and is met with Nem, whom had recovered from her minor injuries yesterday. Baku quickly informs Zero that he had found Chef Sannoh's mind door, which pleases the CODE superior. He then brought Nem along to the old building of Royale Shirogane, and found the last sealed mind door inside. Peeping through the keyhole, Baku confirmed that Poison Nightmare’s end goal is to poison both the Japan and Eldovia Republic presidents to death, but the reason why Chef Sannoh (as the confirmed dreamer) wished for the said Nightmare is shown on the recipe book nearby; Royale Shirogane’s century old tradition is to pass Traditional flavors to the next generation. Baku surmises that from the start, Chef Sannoh knew he didn’t have long to live. Thus, he intended to leave Royale Shirogane restaurant to both Chef Shiomi and Satoh as a form of his genuine trust and care for them. Baku then explained to a confused Nem that the Nightmare twisted Chef Sannoh’s desire to end the legacy altogether with the other chef careers, and swears to stop Poison Nightmare no matter what.
That night, a flabbergasted Tetsuya inquires Tsukasa Todo on why Royale Shirogane is still in charge of the catering service, despite Chef Sannoh’s absence. Todo replied that despite the poisoning case, the Eldovian president still demanded to taste the Royale Shirogane dishes, and it's decided that the Sous-Chef, Ryoji Shiomi and Shusuke Satoh will be the one in charge replacing Sannoh. Tetsuya argues that the Nightmare is still on the loose, thus the possibility of the Black Case happening is still high. However, Todo insisted that since the catering is already fixed, Tetsuya need to bring a solid proof directly to the VIP guests instead. Ultimately, this prompts Tetsuya to contact Nasuka, whom at that moment had just retrieved a document, to stop the conference, much to her dismay.
On the day of the conference, both Chef Shiomi and Satoh had arrived to the conference location. Predictably, they are stopped by Tetsuya, who pleaded them to stop cooking for this conference, or else the Black Case will definitely occured. However, both Chef Shiomi and Satoh refuse, as they still held to the conviction that Chef Sannoh bequeathed to them; to uphold the tradition as the next generation. As both Tetsuya and the chefs reaches an impasse, Nasuka ultimately decides to stop Tetsuya from interfering by kicking him, and both Sous chefs start cooking their signature dish in real life, At the same time, Chef Sannoh is shown to cook the very same dish in the dream world as well. As feared by Tetsuya, Poison Nightmare dripped her poison from the air vent into the sauce pan that used to make the Royale Sauce in the dream world, poisoning the sauce mixture in real life as well, before she's sucked outside by Baku using the Technolom Stream Capsem.
Once Baku confronts the Nightmare, he states his mission to destroy the biological weapon (Poison Nightmare) before transforming into Zeztz Esprim Recovery. The rematch begins in earnest with Zeztz configuring his Breakam Zeztzer into its Axe Mode to hack away the Poison Nightmare. As Nem cheers for Baku in the sidelines, The mysterious man appears behind her. Nem tries to hold him in while inquires his identity, only for the mysterious man to introduce himself as a wanderer of dreams, just like her before he gently pushes her away. At the same time, the Chefs of Royale Shirogane have served their main dish with Royale Sauce to the VIP guests, both in Real life and the Dream world. As Zeztz and Poison Nightmare continue fighting, Zeztz continue to maintain the upper-hand against the Nightmare. but suddenly, The mysterious man suddenly interferes by attacking the Agent using a broken weapon, the Breakam Buster.
The mysterious man cited that the true power of Recovery Capsem is not limited to healing someone. As Zeztz lays down in pain over Nox's unexpected attack, it's shown that his Breakam Zeztzer is shattered by Breakam Buster attack. Baku then exclaimed that Recovery Capsem is meant to restore everything to their prime state, using its power to repair his Breakam Zeztzer. With the mysterious man theory proven right in front of him, he seethes in excitement and declared "This Is It!". However, the time is critical for Baku as the VIPs had already tasted the food and have shown the first symptoms of Poisoning! Realizing that the only way to stop Poison Nightmare is by defeating her, Baku finishes her off by using Recovery Banish. As a result, the Poison inside Royale Sauce is neutralized almost immediately, and the VIPs in both the Dream and Real World are safe, applauding the Chefs for their success. Chef Sannoh also smiles in relief as the Purple Butterfly leaves his body and flies away.
After the conference, Nasuka finds Tetsuya inside the CODE HQ. Nasuka commented that at least the conference went well, and Tetsuya immediately apologized to Nasuka for being an incompetent leader. Fortunately, Nasuka understood Tetsuya worry, as she then revealed that she need a reason to accept phenomenon without a scientific basis, such as the disappearances due to the Black Case. Tetsuya immediately realizes that Nasuka had pried over Paranormal Affairs Division’s past, and Nasuka produces a document of a man named Odaka Kensei, Tetsuya’s previous partner. Nasuka argues that even his family didn’t hear of him after his resignation, hence why she took the matter into her own hands. Tetsuya then solemnly swears that he'll find him someday, as the camera pans to Odaka Kensei's photo, now the same mysterious man who assisted the Nightmares.
The episode ends as Baku falls down due to sheer exhaustion, and the mysterious man immediately uses this chance to defeat Baku, and steal Esprim Recovery Capsem from him. As the mysterious man raises his loot in triumph, Baku inquires him about his objective with the said Capsem. The mysterious man simply replied that he's about to restore something he had in real life before leaving. As Nem and Baku can only helplessly watch as the mysterious man leaves the area, the mystery behind him becomes even deeper.
What is the item that he seeks to restore?
"Your next mission."
