Case7: Punish (罰する, Bassuru) is the seventh episode of Kamen Rider Zeztz. It features the debut of Zeztz Technolom Projection.
Synopsis[]
In a dream imprisoned within a prison, the dream master, Bijogi, took Nem and vanished.
Puzzled by this bizarre behavior, Fujimi and Nasuka reveal a certain "cruel truth" to Baku.
After learning everything, Baku returns to the dream world and takes on the mission anew to save Bijogi and Nem. But once again, Nox stands in Baku's way...!
Plot[]
Continuing from the previous episode, the mission to escape from the giant monster, the Prison Nightmare, still takes place in the dream world. Zeztz is still fighting two Prison Troopers (robots resurrected by Nox). Meanwhile, Mr. Bijogi and NEM are trying to save themselves by running up to the top floor. Zeztz is confused as to why President Bijogi (the dream owner in the real world) only wants to save NEM in his subconscious. Zeztz, who is still fighting in his Physicam Impact form, is surprised that Nox, who stands before him, already recognizes his identity as Seven. Nox also tells Zeztz that every human has a secret that cannot be told to anyone, and they want to escape from that suffering.
Zeztz does not want to waste any more time. He changes form back to Technolom Machinery to destroy the two resurrected Prison Troopers. Zeztz then brings Ms. Reiko along to chase after Mr. Bijogi and NEM (at this point, Zeztz has canceled his transformation). Moments later, Ms. Reiko is exhausted and unable to walk any further, so Seven takes her to a temporary hiding place. Reiko is asked to rest first, and Seven promises to return immediately if she needs help. Seven activates the Zeztz Sensor device in Reiko's resting place to monitor her condition from afar in case of any unwanted incidents. Seven must then continue the pursuit of Mr. Bijogi and NEM, who are climbing a very long staircase (from the ground floor up to dozens of floors above) while gasping and calling out for NEM.
However, suddenly morning arrives in the real world, and Baku Yorozu (Agent Seven) must wake up from his sleep. The mission has to be postponed when he reached the 35th floor. Baku eventually meets Commander Zero at the secret CODE headquarters. Baku reports that the mission to "Escape with all the prisoners" inside the Prison Nightmare is somewhat troublesome. Baku (Seven) is also unable to find the location of the dream owner's "door to the mind." Since the condition is difficult, he has no choice but to complete the mission without any clues. Suddenly, inspectors Fujimi and Nasuka enter the CODE headquarters that very morning. Before he is found out, Zero the robot transforms back into its motorcycle form and remains silent to avoid standing out. Baku updates Inspector Fujimi on the mission's progress, reporting that President Bijogi only escaped with NEM and then disappeared.
This is contrary to Inspector Fujimi's initial assumption that the dream owner was dreaming of living as a family of three. However, it is confirmed that President Masumi Bijogi is the dream owner. Moreover, the two inspectors share a fact from their investigation into Ms. Reiko Oshiro in the real world: four years ago, a travel vehicle was hit by a delivery truck at night. The travel vehicle carrying President Bijogi and NEM was among the victims. Consequently, it was reported that one person was in critical condition due to the accident. NEM's condition after the accident was considered fatal and could have claimed her life. This fact was ultimately concealed by President Bijogi. This information shocks Baku, who feels it cannot be true. The problem is, NEM has appeared in many advertisements and promotions around the city, but Nasuka states that the advertising for NEM was recorded before the tragedy or might be CGI.
Baku is convinced that the real-life NEM is located somewhere, and he believes she is not dead. After that, early in the morning, Baku bothers his younger sister Minami a little so that she will take him to the Bijogi Office. Baku goes there only to discuss a few things he needs to ask Mr. Bijogi. However, Minami thinks Baku is going there to apply for a job just to be closer to NEM (Bijogi Office's exclusive talent). Minami thinks her brother's idea is a bit absurd, leading to a small sibling argument in front of the building. President Bijogi, who sees them from the rooftop, immediately comes down to meet them both.
Minami Yorozu introduces herself as the owner of the Tsurukami Geinou agency. Meanwhile, Baku openly introduces himself as Seven, the person Mr. Bijogi met in the dream world. Mr. Bijogi does remember this from his sleep, but he is surprised that Baku looks completely different as an ordinary person in the real world. In Bijogi's private office, Baku's arrival was anticipated. When Baku asks if the fact about NEM's accident is true, it turns out the tragedy is indeed real. To Bijogi, NEM is like his own daughter. After the accident, to avoid any unwanted cases, Mr. Bijogi took NEM to a special VIP hospital. However, NEM was unconscious (in a coma). After being left for a few hours, NEM suddenly disappeared from her hospital room.
This loss forced Mr. Bijogi to keep the information a secret from the public, intending to search for NEM quietly. Her physical body has still not been found. President Bijogi has kept this secret from the public for years because he does not want to make all of NEM's fans sad. If the rumor of NEM's death were to spread, it would diminish everyone's ambition, striving power, and dreams. The true NEM, if she were present, would not want that. Baku remains utterly unconvinced of NEM's death.
Baku then returns to the CODE headquarters and meets Inspector Fujimi and Nasuka. The two inspectors only comment that for a person in critical condition like NEM, the information about her disappearance would destroy her reputation, and she might already be gone. However, Baku dismisses this opinion, stating that the possibility of NEM being alive is not zero. Baku concludes that President Bijogi has suffered for years searching for NEM, whom he considers his own daughter. Therefore, the nightmare prison of President Bijogi is the manifestation of his subconscious desire to confine himself and spend time with NEM in the dream world. Baku is determined to save President Bijogi from his nightmare, no matter what happens.
At night, when Baku is asleep and experiences a lucid dream, he continues his mission as Agent Seven to chase after Mr. Bijogi and NEM, who have already arrived at the 100th floor (Corridor F). When Mr. Bijogi and NEM arrive first, the area around the top floor of the prison is still an enclosed, empty space. Before Seven arrives, Nox suddenly appears in Corridor F, tempting the dream owner (Mr. Bijogi) in the dream world to realize his wishes. Mr. Bijogi (the dream world version) is shown the terrifying memory from four years ago, stored in his subconscious through a ring on Nox's right hand. Nox appears to be trapping Mr. Bijogi, encouraging him to sacrifice himself to save NEM this time. The offer is initially accepted, and Nox resurrects one Prison Trooper for Mr. Bijogi to defeat. However, Mr. Bijogi remains a weak and helpless ordinary human.
When Seven arrives, he warns Mr. Bijogi not to fight the robot. It is a nightmare trap designed to make the dream owner suffer and turn his body in the real world into a vessel for the resurrection of the Prison Nightmare. Seven takes his place in fighting the Prison Trooper, and Nox questions whether it is okay to let the dream owner wallow in his suffering all this time, continuing to torment Mr. Bijogi's mind. Seven affirms his conviction, confident that NEM is not dead. This realization awakens Mr. Bijogi in the dream world to his true purpose. After slightly pushing the Prison Trooper away, Seven apologizes to NEM (the dream world version) for failing to understand NEM's feelings, which had been hidden for four years, only learning about them after directly questioning President Bijogi in the real world earlier.
Ultimately, Seven issued himself with a new mission: "Find Nem". Seven announced his newly appointed mission objective, which is to find NEM's physical location in the real world and bring her home. President Bijogi, who is asleep in the real world, faintly smiles by the agent reassuring. Nox approaches the Prison Trooper and merely tells Seven that the Prison Nightmare is a prison that confines them to their death, and there is no escape. Nox then resurrects dozens of cloned Prison Troopers inside the Prison Nightmare (specifically in Corridor F) to threaten the prisoners on that floor (Seven, NEM, Mr. Bijogi). Seven prepares to fight them all and transforms into Kamen Rider Zeztz - Technolom Projection using the power of the Projection Capsem item attached on the Zeztz Driver on his chest. This Capsem form visualizes Zeztz with an unique blue fringed cloak on his left arm.
The fight is intense, with Zeztz - Technolom Projection's ability to accurately and unpredictably transfer himself to other locations, confusing the Prison Troopers. During the fierce battle, his Zeztz Phone, which has fallen on the floor, shows a projection of Ms. Reiko running to reach a door but failing to reach it (an effect of the Prison Nightmare's attack power within its giant body). When Mr. Bijogi and NEM resign themselves that escape is impossible, Zeztz uses his power to scan the upper wall in Corridor F and opens a wide, camouflaged door above. It turns out that this is the location of the Prison Nightmare's brain, which is its weakness. Without much thought, Zeztz rotates the Projection Capsem on his chest to summon the same number of clones of himself as the resurrected Prison Troopers. The original Zeztz leaps upward and performs the "Projection Banish" Rider Kick finisher to the brain, while simultaneously, his clones also perform the Rider Kick to destroy the Prison Troopers.
Finally, the giant Prison Nightmare vanishes, and the status is "Mission Complete." Seven successfully saves President Bijogi from his nightmare. All the prisoners in the dream world are saved. Nox, observing from afar, warns Seven that he will one day learn the price he has to pay for that power. Seven hears the faint warning, turns back, and Nox has suddenly disappeared. When morning arrives in the real world, President Bijogi wakes up and believes it was just a dream (at that moment, a purple butterfly emerges from his body). Afterward, Baku himself meets President Bijogi again in the daylight to confirm that it was not just a dream. Baku promises to try his best to bring NEM, whom Bijogi considers his daughter, home.
Elsewhere, in a secret location, Nox approaches a dark room, where the comatose real-life NEM has been secretly hidden and is asleep. Several purple butterflies circle the room. Nox seems to intend to use NEM as a vessel of power that will guide people in the real world into nightmares.
