Plot[]

"Escape with all the prisoners. Good luck.全ての捕虜とともに脱出せよ。健闘を祈る。"
Zero

Baku Yorozu entered another lucid dream one night and became CODE’s secret agent with the codename “Seven.” Commander Zero gave him the mission. In the dream’s scenario, Seven was locked up on the 8th floor of a prison with three others: Nem, Masumi Bijogi, and Reiko Ōshiro. Seven’s skills and power in the dream world were unmatched. He cleverly removed everyone’s handcuffs (including his own) and broke the cell door. He then led the other three to escape and look for a way out.

The escape was not easy. Between the 8th and 7th floors, deadly spinning cutter discs appeared as traps. Seven activated the Impact Capsem, which let him jump extremely far in a single leap while carrying all three prisoners from one end to the other. As soon as they reached the 7th floor, sharp iron bars were shot down from above. Seven used the Stream Capsem to create a storm barrier that blocked the bars. After that, Mr. Masumi was exhausted, so they decided to rest for a moment at the far end of the 7th floor.

In this dream (the Dreamer still unknown at the time), Nem played the role as the daughter of Masumi and Reiko. Seven was surprised; he thought Nem was really Masumi’s daughter, but it was only a role to satisfy the dreamer. Still unsure who the dreamer was, Seven took a photo of the couple with the Zeztz Camera to search for clues in the real world. When Baku (Seven) woke up in the morning, he found that Inspectors Fujimi and Nasuka from the Paranormal Affairs Division had arrived early at CODE HQ by slipping in through his bedroom window and even opening his closet while he was asleep. For this mission, Nasuka’s only hint was a trail of mysterious ground cracks appearing in the real world. When Baku saw them, the pattern looked similar like the floor-number stickers in the prison from the dream he had just experienced.

As for the Masumi–Reiko clue from Baku’s dream, the two investigators still hadn’t found any information for the “Black Case.” Baku felt that only one person might know the whereabouts of one of them. Before that, Baku tried turning the lever on the Capsem Dropper device, and he got two new Capsem items for his next mission.  They were Machinary Capsem and Projection Capsem (a subform for the Technolom category). After Baku out from his closet door, he asked his younger sister, Minami Yorozu, to let him come along to her workplace, where she manages talents at an agency. Baku only said he wanted to meet the person he had photographed. Minami didn’t know about Baku’s dream. He pestered her a bit, and in the end she agreed.

At the filming set, Minami watched from a distance as her two talents, Danbōru Senpai and Haruka Suzuki, acted. Baku was impressed with Minami’s work. Then Baku and Minami met the president of the Bijogi agency, Mr. Masumi Bijogi, who is Minami’s role model in developing talents. Baku wondered if he was the one who had dreamed of being imprisoned last night. He greeted Mr. Masumi and said he was a fan of Nem. Mr. Masumi said Nem is an idol loved by everyone. He had recognized Nem’s potential since Nem was a child in kindergarten eight years ago. Back then, he even said the child’s talent was worth one million dollars.

Years later, Nem became one of Mr. Masumi’s most trusted talents. In his heart, Baku felt that if Mr. Masumi knew Nem’s potential so well, then Nem must be hiding something. Back at CODE HQ, Baku shared several pieces of information on-screen with Inspectors Fujimi and Nasuka about Mr. Masumi. Nasuka also found that Mr. Masumi had divorced Ms. Reiko four years ago. Inspector Fujimi joked that Mr. Masumi must have dreamed like that because he wanted a harmonious family. It sounded biased and hard to believe, but Baku and Nasuka tried to treat it as a tentative hypothesis.

Night fell, and Baku went back to sleep to continue the mission. When he returned to the dream (still on the 7th floor of the prison), Seven asked Nem why Nem had never told him that Nem was a talent under Mr. Masumi in the real world. Nem only said that Mr. Masumi wouldn’t be aware of that tonight anyway. Baku pressed Nem, asking if there was anything Nem was hiding. Nem got upset and asked why Seven was so intent on digging into people’s hearts. Seven fell silent, and Nem quickly apologized; Nem didn’t mean to snap. With mixed feelings, Nem suddenly continued the escape. Seven, Masumi, and Reiko chased after Nem.

The escape reached the 1st floor. But when they opened the door, they found themselves trapped in a warehouse. Suddenly, a brown robot with saw-blade arms attacked Nem. Seven reacted instantly and saved Nem. He equipped the Zeztz Driver on his chest and slotted in the Machinary Capsem. He transformed into Kamen Rider Zeztz — Technolom Machinary. This blue form had robotic power and a clamp weapon on his right hand. The fight looked easy; with a single grab, the robot was crushed.

However, that robot was not the true Nightmare. The mysterious man suddenly appeared in the warehouse. While he did not reveal his identity to Seven, the mysterious man did said that he's someone who knew everything. He also said Seven was not the only one who could lucid dream. Using his lucid dream power, The mysterious man restored the destroyed brown robot and then produced clones of it. Baku realized the real Nightmare was not the robot, but the prison itself that was trapping Seven, Nem, Masumi, and Reiko. Zeztz switched to Physicam Impact (his basic form) and delivered a blast to the warehouse. Sure enough, a giant Prison Nightmare awakened. This giant was the one creating the strange crack patterns in the real world, at a mine. In the panic, the dream-world Mr. Masumi urged Nem to return to their cell and just stay alive there forever. He left Reiko with Zeztz. Seven was confused by this.

Inside the body of the Prison Nightmare, at a location not yet found, three out of four “doors of the mind” had already opened. If the last door opened, the dreamer in the real world would never wake up again. Back in the real world, that same night, Inspectors Fujimi and Nasuka met Reiko Ōshiro. Reiko confirmed she had divorced Masumi four years ago, but said it was because of a terrible tragedy. The tragedy changed Masumi's life. Meanwhile, Mr. Masumi, who was asleep (not lucid dreaming), was having a bad dream. It became clear that he was the dreamer of this prison. In his room, many photos of Nem were on display, including one framed above a glass cabinet. What truth is Nem hiding?
