Case13: Extinguish (ほろぼす, Horobosu) is the thirteenth episode of Kamen Rider Zeztz. It features the debut of Zeztz Paradigm Gravity.

Synopsis[]

After battling Nox Knight and acutely feeling his own powerlessness, Baku, having lost his confidence as an agent, is branded unfit by Zero.

Still, a casual conversation with Seiya prompts him to reexamine himself. In a dream, he discovers Seiya's Mind's Door. Armed with a new Capsem, he confronts Nox!

Plot[]

Continuing from the previous episode, Nox Knight offers for Zeztz to lay down his driver if he doesn’t wish to be plagued by the Nightmares. Predictably, Zeztz refuses since he still has a mission to accomplish, which is to prevent the meteor strike. This prompts Nox Knight to retaliate by stripping Zeztz of his transformation by turning each and every Capsems in Zeztz possession into Void Capsems using his Erase Capsems ability. Nox Knight declares that the powerless have no right to transform before retreating, with Baku unable to prevent the cluster meteorites from destroying the space center. Despite all of this, Baku at least successfully protected Nem by using his body as a meat shield.

However, once the dust settles, Nem checked Baku's condition, only to find Baku depressed over the fact that he's not as invincible as he thought, and that someone (Nox) excelled him in every aspect in the dream world. This ended Baku's dream, and he wake up apologizing to Seiya for failing him. The news of the space centers destruction soon reached Fujimi and Nasuka, with Fujimi angrily reminding Baku that the planet sized meteor will arrive at Earth in 24 hours, but so far, no progress has happened on Baku's part. A livid Fujimi outright refuses a disheartened Baku's apology, stating that a mere apology alone won't fix the tragedy. Nasuka tries to stop Fujimi because of his apparent cruelty, but Baku finally snaps, claiming that had it not been for Odaka's intervention as Nox Knight, he would have successfully finished the mission as usual. Once again, this puts Baku and Fujimi at a heated Impasse, with Fujimi still believing that Odaka is a good man, while Baku knows otherwise. Ultimately, Fujimi declared that their cooperation ends right here, claiming that he should never allow an ordinary civilian like Baku to handle their job, and leaves, with Nasuka following her superior.

Zero then appears and declares that Baku is currently unfit as an agent (despite seeing Nox Knight's power firsthand). Thankfully, salvation comes in the form of Seiya Ishii, who called him to have an idle talk at the playground. Both of them have a heart to heart talk about their favorite things (Baku with spy movies and Seiya with space), and Seiya also thanked Baku for believing in him when no one else would. Baku then decides to walk Seiya home, although Seiya is rather hesitant to show Baku because his house (which doubles as a rest shop) is closed due to his fathers poor health. As evening falls, Baku meets Minami on their way home.

Night fell in the real world, and Baku lucid dreams his way into Seiya's dream world. Now knowing that Seiya is the dreamer, and his lieu motif is to help his parents not worry about him, Baku and Nem go to Seiya's house and find three mind doors inside (with two already open due to the earlier meteor strikes). Baku looked on the third Mind Door keyhole and found that the planet sized meteor is actually the Nightmare. After the discovery, Baku and Nem go to CODE HQ, and this granted Baku the power to pull the Paradigm Gravity Capsem from the Capsem Generation Machine. Knowing that Baku regained his confidence, Zero immediately put him on active duty once more, with Baku swearing to complete this mission, not only for Seiya, but also for himself.

Baku goes outside and sees the Nightmare approaching the Earth’s orbit, now visible enough to see. Predictably, Nox reappears and is annoyed by Baku's tenacity, even after he stripped Baku from transforming. Both agents transform into Nox Knight and Zeztz Paradigm Gravity form and soon battle each other. Not wasting time, Zeztz strikes Nox Knight with Gravity Capsem power to control the gravity, prompting Nox to let Baku experience the horror of the Capsems firsthand, ultimately stopping his fight. Zeztz then uses his power to nullify the gravity around him, ascending into space and confronting the meteor nightmare on his own. Finally, using the Capsems power to heavily condense the gravity around them, Zeztz destroyed the Meteor Nightmare using Gravity Banish finisher, much to Seiya's elation. Unfortunately, due to the same condensed gravity, a black hole is formed and quickly sucks not only the Meteor Nightmare fragments, but also Zeztz himself into it before dispersing. A flabbergasted Nem could only commented that Seven disappears into thin air, while Nox can only comment that Baku is foolish enough to realize a worse Nightmare on his own.

As Nox is about to leave, Zero confronts the rogue agent, identifying him as Code Number : Four. Nox angrily confronted his former superior, asking if this what he expected all along; by sacrificing his own agents to complete his own aims. Zero didn't even deny this, claiming that the mission to prevent humanity’s extinction is completed nevertheless. Nox prepares to open fire using his Breakam Buster Launcher Mode, angrily stating that CODE remained rotten to the core even after he left, with Zero once again not denying the accusation. Nox fires at Zero, and Zero deflects the strike with the Breakam Zeztzer, before the rising dust from the attack allows him to escape.

Morning then rises in the real world, Seiya returned the school with newfound confidence despite the bullying, while Baku doesn’t wake up despite still being alive. This prompted a worried Minami to check on Zero in CODE HQ, and Zero replied that Baku is currently having a long Nightmare that's yet to be settled. Minami tries to press on about Baku's own condition, only for Zero to threaten Minami if she can keep a secret, else he had to personally dispose her for knowing too much. Minami accepted after much thought, and the episode ends.
