Case12: Impact (衝（つ）く, Tsuku) is the twelfth episode of Kamen Rider Zeztz. It features the debut of Nox Knight.

Synopsis[]

In his dream, Baku becomes an employee at the Space Center. His new mission: protect Earth from an approaching giant meteorite. Time until impact: 48 hours. Upon waking, Baku informs Fujimi and Nagumo of humanity's impending doom and springs into action.

Returning to the dream world, Baku attempts to avert the asteroid collision alongside Nem. But there, Nox stands in their way. Before their eyes, Nox straps on a belt, loads a Capsem, and...!

Plot[]

"Prevent the meteor strike. Good luck.（隕石衝突を阻止せよ。健闘を祈る。）"

The episode begins with Baku, who is lucid dreaming as Code Number: Seven. He's currently wearing an astronaut gear with a boy named Seiya as they experience a simulation of Zero Gravity together. Seiya voices his dream to be an astronaut in the future, and Baku encourages the boy to reach for it. After they get out, they are greeted by Nem, who is now currently working as the space center's mascot. Unfortunately, the space center suddenly issues the alarm for an impending meteor strike. Baku requests Nem to evacuate everyone in the vicinity.

After Baku goes outside, he's about to utilize the Esprim Barrier Capsem to shield the Earth from the meteor. However, Nox suddenly appears, and shoots the Capsem from Baku's hand using his now repaired Breakam Buster, warning Baku to not get deluded by the power of the Capsem. As Nox exclaimed that Baku didn't know the horror that Capsems possessed, Baku witnessed green and black smoke starts erupting and swirling around the Barrier Capsem before it get absorbed back. Unfortunately, this hinders Baku from stopping the first meteorite from crashing near the space center, obliterating the area.

Once Nox retreated, Baku joined Nem and Seiya outside and claimed that everything will be fine now. However, a space center employee suddenly exclaimed that the meteor strike just now is only the first from many that will occurs. To make things worse, a meteor is predicted to hit the Earth in 48 hours,thus, Baku's lucid dream comes to an end for the night, and he soon cross checked the fact with both Fujimi and Nasuka at the Zeztz Room. Upon learning the news from Nasuka, Fujimi deduces that the Nightmares are once again behind this black case, and the dreamer this time could've been a space center staff member. Baku then decides to divulge to them about Odaka Kensei, who is now an agent assisting the Nightmares, Nox. Unexpectedly, Fujimi vehemently denies that Odaka had fallen to the dark side, claiming that it might have been someone else with the same face. Fujimi then divulges that Odaka is the one who make Fujimi believes in Nightmare existence beforehand.

A flashback is shown three years ago, with Odaka presenting Fujimi an image of a Nightmare with Bat face. At that time, Fujimi didn't believe Odaka one bit, and they even jokes about treating each other drinks if one of them is correct. Odaka exclaimed that he genuinely wanted to stop the Nightmare from running rampant in other people's dream, even claiming that it'll be fine if he's become the only one to go through such bad dreams. As Fujimi looked on his assistant, Odaka shown a sad, but resolute face that ended up moving him. While Baku tries to force Fujimi to accept the fact based on his recent contacts with Nox, Fujimi is steadfast at his belief about Odaka as a good, righteous man who will never side with Nightmares. Both Fujimi and Nasuka then leave the HQ to contact the space station, with Baku remained in a state of frustration and helplessness.

As the duo rushed to the space station, Nasuka voiced her doubt that Fujimi might have regretted not believing in Odaka back then, in which Fujimi agreed upon as his disbelief caused Odaka to go missing. Unexpectedly, Nasuka then voices that she believed that Odaka is most likely still alive out there, arguing that ever since she knew both Baku and Fujimi, she witnessing multiple black cases firsthand, with the latest case involving Atsumi Taro finally causing her to start believing the legitimacy of these cases. With the renewed resolve, Nasuka feel the need to stop this black case, especially since this put humanity fate at stake, which Fujimi agreed upon. Meanwhile, in Zeztz Room, a still frustrated Baku recalled Nox's warning about the horror of the Capsems, and this time cannot obtain a Capsem from the machine. Seeing this, Zero surmises that the Capsem Generation Machine worked if Baku is on the right state of mind. As a result, Baku snapped since this mission could possibly endanger humanity as whole, but Zero then suggested Baku to try solving this mission with the Capsems he already had first.

To cool his head off first, Baku then decide to visit the school where Seiya is located. There, he eavesdropped Seiya being ridiculed by his classmates, who didn't believe that a meteor strike is happening, and instead started bullying him from his warning before leaving. Baku hurriedly rushes to Seiya and started to inquire the young boy about his dream. At first, Seiya didn't recognize Baku and then leave. However, as he crossed the road, a truck is about to hit him! Fortunately, Baku used the power of Esprim Barrier Capsem to forcibly stop the truck on its track, thus allowing Seiya to remember Baku as Seven in the dream. Alas, Baku's misfortune hit him again after helping someone, with him getting hit by a baseball and passed out immediately. Baku regained his consciousness at evening after being evacuated by both Seiya and Minami, with Seiya divulges his interest in space after a visit to a planetarium nearby the space center. While Baku once again encouraged Seiya to reach his dream, he also deduces that the dreamer's Mind's Door might have been located there.

Baku hurriedly goes lucid dreaming even though Night is yet to fall in the real world. With Minami confirming that Baku is fast asleep, her interest in Baku's closet has reached its peak. It took little time for Minami to unlock the Zeztz Room via the mysterious cloth hanger, and she immediately met with Zero, who is currently investigating a new Capsem, the Booster Capsem. Zero voiced his wonder about Minami who finally know about this place, and Minami immediately demanded the robo for explanation about everything. Zero simply divulges that Baku is currently perform a secret mission, much to Minami's shock as the truth laid bare in front of her. The scene shifted to Zeztz Room in dreamscape, with Baku and Nem riding CODE Zeroider to the planetarium to possibly find the dreamer mind door. As their search remained fruitless, another warning for meteor strike echoes through the place.

Baku and Nem goes outside and confirmed the second wave of meteorites, this time comes in cluster. As they ride to space center, Nox is shown waiting for them outside their destination. Both Nox and Baku then started to banter about CODE, which Nox find irrational for the organization for handing Baku such impossible task, with humanity existence as stake. Baku rebukes that it's only natural as CODE is a byproduct of his dream, only for Nox to correct him that CODE actually long existed even before Baku Yorozu was born. Nox grown frustrated from Baku's rather gullible nature, as he didn't know anything about CODE at all. And so, to freed him for his delusion, Nox equipped Knight Invoker onto himself. With Erase Capsem loaded inside, Nox transformed into a shiny, glittering version of Zeztz named Nox Knight.

Baku transforms into Zeztz Physicam Impact and the two agent battle. While Zeztz exceed in his physical strength, Nox Knight battle experience and his mastery over Erase Capsem ability actually manages to overpower Zeztz, and even refuses Zeztz chances to retaliate using his Breakam Zeztzer Sword Mode. With Esprim Barrier Capsem thrown off from Zeztz's hand by Nox Knight's attack, Nox decides to teach Baku a lesson by first destroying the said Capsem using his Breakam Buster Launcher Mode. As the Capsem get broken beyond repair, the green and black shadow manifested from the Capsem, and turned into a Nightmare with similar look to Zeztz. This newly created Nightmare starts attacking its former owner in a rampage, and Nox Knight personally decides to deal with it himself. True to this claim, Nox erases the Nightmare using his Breakam Cannon finisher, resulting in the Nightmare to dissolve into dust.

Zeztz could only looked in disbelief as Nox Knight described Capsems as the instrument to realize one Nightmare instead of saving them, as this is the truth Nox wanted to convey to the agent. Knowing this, for the first time in his Agent Career, Zeztz realizes his powerlessness...
