Case10: Vanish (消（き）える, Kieru) is the tenth episode of Kamen Rider Zeztz. It features the debut of Zeztz Esprim Barrier.

Synopsis[]

Baku, tasked with the mission "Get back the national secret", infiltrates the home of art collector Atsumi in a dream. A theft occurs involving a famous painting from Atsumi's collection, and Baku suspects state secrets are hidden within that painting.

However, as Baku pursues the culprit, Nox appears and warns him, "learning too much could destroy you." The next instant, Baku is struck by a blow from Nox's weapon...!?

Plot[]

The episode begins as Baku is lucid dreaming as Code Number : Seven, and he arrives a house owned by Atsumi Taro. On the said house, Atsumi is shown admiring an art piece depicting a woman with an Anemone Flower before Baku applied to the job. After both Baku and Atsumi admired the painting together, Atsumi brought the agent to the living room, where he disclosed his view about Art = While people can die someday, art is something that last eternally; before he ordered Baku to start cleaning the Living Room. Not long after, Nem appeared nearby with the role of a living Mannequin, in which Baku took as the dreamer recognition of Nem's artistic value. However, not long after the duo chatted, Atsumi screamed in panic! And as Baku arrived first, Atsumi exclaimed that a thief has stolen the painting, and if they cannot retrieve it back, a secret will be exposed! Baku's mind replaying the mission that CODE had bequeathed to him and wondered if the painting did have a national secret hidden behind it...

Once Baku donned his agent attire, both Baku and Nem looked around for trails using the agent's Zeztz Licence. And as Baku predicted, there's a faint blue trail leading from the painting to the outside, prompting the duo to look around the area for locations. Unfortunately, as Baku and Nem arriving at an outdoor rooftop, The mysterious man appeared and shoots the Agent with his Breakam Buster! Baku immediately recognized the mysteriousman, and angrily requested to return Esprim Recovery to him. The mysterious man simply replied that Baku doesn't need the said capsem, then Nem informed Baku that this man might be someone who can only lives on the Dream World like her, judging by their initial meeting in the dream world. Unexpectedly, the mysterious man advised Baku to drop this mission of his, because learning too much of this mission detail will inevitably destroyed him. Sensing something fishy, Baku surmises that this mission might have something to do with the national secret hidden in the painting. However, before he could advance further, the mysterious man shot Baku using his Breakam Buster, resulting in Baku awakening in real world.

Wasting no time, Baku hurried to CODE HQ and is met by Fujimi and Nasuka, whom right now is investigating a black case that involves two famous paintings that moves on their own, as recorded by the art museum CCTV. Nasuka added that while the missing painting is made from different eras, both painting involves drawing of Anemone Flowers. Baku then also shown the painting that is stolen in the dream world via his Zeztz Camera, which also features an anemone flower as well. While Fujimi is excited since Baku found another clue in the dream world, Nasuka then revealed some more intel : There's a faint print of a substance believed to be mold on the crime scene, which Baku can attest after he reminded of the trails on the dream world as well. After Baku revealed that the stolen painting contains a hidden National Secret, Fujimi and Nasuka departs to an Art Museum to gather more intel, whilst Baku visited the other Art Museum thanks to Zero's help.

On their visit, Fujimi and Nasuka learned that the first anemone flower painting is donated by Odaka Kensei, which sparks the duo shock, especially since Odaka is declared MIA a year ago. On Baku's side, he also learned that the second anemone flower painting is also donated by someone. But, when Baku shown the staff of Atsumi Taro photograph, the staff expression turned sour. The staff disclosed that Atsumi DID NOT donate the painting, and instead begged the staff to give the paining to him in a desperate fit. Not long after, Baku and Fujimi exchanged their respective intels, and Baku deduces that Atsumi Taro could've been the dreamer since he did possess one of the missing anemone flower painting in the dream world. After that, Baku use the Capsem Generation Machine twice to obtain Esprim Barrier and Paradigm Wonder Capsem.

While saving his newly acquired Capsems into the cylinders in CODE HQ, Baku asked Zero if the capsem color meant something out of curiosity. Zero confirmed this and revealed the Capsems had four categories that grant its user dream-granting power:

  • Physicam (The Red Capsems) provides Physical Enhancements to the User
  • Technolom (The Blue Capsems) grants the User Mastery over Technology
  • Esprim (The Green Capsems) is connected to the user Willpower and Control over the user's mind
  • Paradigm (The Purple Capsems) provides the User power to control the principles of Reality.

Baku then tried to use the Capsem Generation Machine for the third time, only for the machine to be jammed. Zero advises him to not be greedy, as the machine cannot release too many capsems at once. This result in Baku blurting about losing the Recovery Capsem to the mysterious man whom assisted the Nightmares in Dream World, in which Zero grimly understood.

As Baku goes out from the closet, he's shocked to see Minami there, sparking her curiosity over the content of Baku's closet. Although Baku can somewhat redirects her interest somewhere else, Fujimi and Nasuka comes from Baku's room window not long after. Nasuka presented Baku with a chat on SNS that linked Atsumi to an account called Night. Upon further inspections, they found out that Night is Odaka Kensei, Fujimi's previous partner who gone missing. After Fujimi ordered Nasuka to gives Baku the report of Odaka, Fujimi suggested to wake Atsumi up for interrogation. But Baku revealed that in order for him to enter Atsumi's dream world, Atsumi need to be asleep. Therefore, Baku suggested the Paranormal Affairs Division to leave the mission to him.

As Night falls, Baku lucid dreaming into Atsumi's dream world once more, and together with Nem, rides Code Zeroider to the location where a Nightmare resides, a seemingly abandoned art museum. There, Mold Nightmare spreads its mold to destroy the three paintings, resulting three out of four Atsumi's Mind Doors to open! The mysterious man praises Mold work and gloats that they can retrieve the National Secret now. Fortunately, Baku and Nem arrived on time, with Baku immediately transformed into Zeztz Physicam Impact form to combat the Mold Nightmare. While Zeztz is pre occupied with Mold Nightmare, The Mysterious man advances to Nem and aimed his Breakam Buster to her. Knowing this, Zeztz used his newly obtained Barrier Capsem to form change into Zeztz Esprim Barrier form to block the mysterious man attack, and to protect Nem and the paintings.

With the fight between Zeztz and Mold Nightmare continues on the outside, The mysterious man once again interrupted the fight. As the mysterious man aimed his Breakam Buster to Zeztz, the agent inquires if he did hide a national secret on the three anemone flower paintings he donated, while referring him as Odaka Kensei. Hearing his birth name, Odaka coldly exclaimed that the man with that name is no longer existed.

To that end, Odaka / The Mysterious man officially introduced himself as Nox, an Agent who lives in the night and wandered through dreams. The revelation of Nox's identity as an Agent shocked Zeztz to his core, as the battle still rages on...
