Canaria (カナリア Kanaria) is a character who appears in the Kamen Rider Battride War and also one of the supporting protagonists in the game.

Biography

Canaria was Foundation X's scientist named Rie Kanai (叶井 梨絵 Kanai Rie). However, she was trapped in a dimension of bird cage named Mnemosyne (ムネモシュネ Munemoshune) with her former husband, Susumu Karashima.

As he became a dark evil spirit entity called Callas, she instead becomes a light pure entity with growing wings and tails. She decides to help the Riders to regain their memories starting with Wizard and followed by the other Riders.

Super Apollo Geist Battride Wars

Canaria's disguise as Super Apollo Geist.

Canaria tries to disguise herself as Super Apollo Geist in order to put the end to Callas' villainy but failed. As the mind controlled-Skull firing with his Skull Magnum, she quickly shielded Wizard and her former husband brought her along to the Mnemosyne. With the Riders came to Callas' base, Canaria was released and orders them to rescue her son's spirit from the Mnemosyne. After the Riders battling Callas (as Decade Violent Emotion) and his troops, Canaria turned into an energy ball along with her former husband and return the Riders to their worlds.

Abilities

  • Memory Restoration

Once any Riders had been defeated, she will escort them and restoring some of their lost memories.

  • Shape-shifting

Due to being a flying energy ball, Canaria is able to disguise herself as Super Apollo Geist.

  • Portal

Canaria can also create a portal, allowing any Riders to escape or escort them so she can restore their lost memories.

Portrayal

Canaria is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro (沢城 みゆき Sawashiro Miyuki). Miyuki previously voiced Kiva-la in Kamen Rider Decade.

Etymology

Her current name, Canaria is an anagram of her human name Rie (firstname) Kanai (surname), when her names rearranged into 'Kanai Rie'. Also her name is a japanese spelling for Canary: a bird.

Notes

  • Strangely enough, Canaria is an exact opposite of Callas.
