The Book of Ruin (破滅の書, Hametsu no Sho) is a powerful tome capable of destroying worlds as well as sealing (and unsealing) others.
History[]
1,000 Years Ago[]
The Book of Ruin was seen a thousand years ago, in the hands of Bahato. He planned to use the Book as a means to destroy the world. Before he could, his former comrade Yuri sealed him inside the Book using both the Ankokuken Kurayami and Kougouken Saikou. The Book was then presumed to be lost.
Present Day[]
The Book of Ruin was later seen again when Bahato managed to escape from it. Beginning his plans, he was interfered by a group of six swordsmen. Bahato's plans to destroy the world failed when he was sealed back into the Book of Ruin by the Rune Bright and Rune Dim Dragons.
After Bahato was sealed a second time, the book fell into the hands of Master Logos' and would be kept at the Southern Base's Library for safe-keeping. After his meeting with the Southern Riders, Master Logos would secretly unseal Bahato from the Book of Ruin as a means to further execute his plans of world destruction.
Powers[]
- World Destruction: True to its name, the Book of Ruin is able to destroy worlds. The methods of doing so, however, are up to its users.
- Sealing: Similar to the Ankokuken Kurayami, the Book of Ruin is able to seal people. It is also able to unseal others, through outside forces or through (inexplicable) willpower.
Notes[]
- The Book of Ruin can be considered the antithesis of the Almighty Book. While the Almighty Book is able to create, the Book of Ruin can destroy.
- The shape found on the strap and buckle of the book greatly resembles to Lapis's wristband, as well as Kamen Rider Kamuro's staff.
